It was important that NWSL teams held a moment of silence for the victims in Orlando. I think it’s fair to say that women’s football would not be where it is today without the support of the LGBT+ community. And when fans of WoSo are supportive it means the players are comfortable being themselves on and off the pitch. It’s also important to create an environment for future athletes and I think the league, for as new as it is, does a good job of that - far better than some other leagues. Representation matters.

Photo Gallery: Starting XI Photos with Reign FC

It’s common knowledge in #soccer that teams take a starting XI photos prior to the start of the match. This photo op usually takes place just after the teams exchange pleasantries and before group huddles. It’s a tradition of sorts.
It’s also common knowledge that Reign FC has itself quite a few jokesters on the team and as such, it results in some pretty great starting XI moments captured. We thought it would be fun to venture back and take a look at these images. Enjoy!
