See this guy over here, that’s Ryan Joshua Mendiola a.k.a Big Rye. I met him four years ago during my freshman year. It all started with the battle of who gets the bench. You see, we had to double session at GW cus the JFKHS campus wasn’t ready and safe for us to utilize. So we were all so new with where to hang out at during that year. My friends and I stumbled upon this bench and so did his friends. At first we would share the bench, but at some point we’d take majority of it or him and his senior friends would take most of it. The battle was so funny cus my friends and I would do the darnest thing. This one day, we all laid down the bench and him and his friends were just looking at us like WTF? Aha ohh the good times. Well since then he’s been a really great friend to me. He’s someone who you can definitely talk to when you’re having a bad day. In a few days, he’ll be leaving Guam for a very long time for the military, army, navy, or idk one of those branches. I’m going to miss him so much. But basically I just want to say that I’m very thankful to have met a guy like him. Ryan you take care of yourself now and don’t ever forget that you’ll always find your way back home. :’)

Never have I fallen…

Your lips speak soft sweetness
Your touch a cool caress
I am lost in your magic
My heart beats within your chest

I think of you each morning
And dream of you each night
I think of my arms being around you
And cannot express my delight

Never have I fallen
But I am quickly on my way
You hold a heart in your hands
That has never before, given away

My Miracle (You)

I don’t think you will ever fully understand
how you’ve touched my life and made me who I am.

I don’t think you could ever know just how truly special you are
that even on the darkest nights you are my brightest star.

I don’t think you will ever fully comprehend how you’ve made my dreams come true
or how you’ve opened my heart to love and the wonders it can do.

You’ve allowed me to experience something very hard to find
unconditional love that exists in my body, soul, and mind.

I don’t think you could ever feel all the love I have to give
and I’m sure you’ll never realize you’ve been my will to live.

You are an amazing person and without you I don’t know where I’d be.
Having you in my life completes and fulfills every part of me.

Moonlight Gift~

As I stared into the night
I gazed at the moonlight
It gleamed and glittered
It shone and glowed
It bathed all life
All love, all spirit
In the purest of light.

As I looked closer
Into the glowing beauty
I saw him approaching
Closer and closer
To my sight
Until I saw his eyes
Gazing into mine
As if they were born
From the moonlight..

My Mask

I wear a mask every day.

I wear a mask to hide my pain.

A mask everyday,

Keeps your worries away.

Such a beautiful mask,

To hide a hideous truth.

I am hurt, scared, and confused.

But you see a smiling face.

A perfect mask.

No chinks or flaws.

Only to be removed in solitude.

But it has fallen off before.

Each time I learn a little more,

About how to keep it on.

So many masks.

Which one to choose?

All pressing down on me.

This mask I can’t take off.

A permenant lie.

I see it in the mirror.

Who am I anymore?

Dreams. Stars. Love.

Brighter than the brightest light,

Dreams soar higher than the highest kite,

All looking from above,

Sealing your emotions with kisses of love.

They shine bright,

Twinkling in the darkest night,

Looking out from above,

Dreams are what the stars make of love.

Is all around,

We give and take from the ground,

Only to give it to another,

And become a lover.

(My Love Poetically Profound)

If He didn’t have poetry

I don’t know how He’d survive

It’s like a tank of oxygen under water

He needs it to stay alive

(It helps him get from day to day

To look on the bright side of things)

Poetry is his inspiration

It is stitched into his soul

And poetry is a like a guardian angel

One that he will never ever let go

What God Has Done.

You’ve done so much for me
Through blessings of love and respect
Yet days go by
And life goes on
Like a cloud floating through the sky
Sometimes I just forget
Lord, you’ve given me
A loving family and loyal friends
Through all the love
And all the fun
Your blessings never end
I thank you for my talents
My ambition- my education
Helping me to succeed
You guide me-show me
To follow my dreams
And those without a school
Without a good family or food
I pray that you will help them
For they are most in need
They deserve a future, too-

In my soul,
In my mind.
Something that you’ll never find.
Look inside you’ll only see,
Something that’ supposed to be.

Darkness is all that shows.
Not one thing that glows.
In my heart not one thing?
- Nope, Not at all-
Nothing but a little hope.
Buried there deep inside,
Nothing to do but hide.
-Yea, Im Sick of hidding-
My heart it never comes out,
Buried in so much doubt.
In my soul,
In my mind.
Nothing’s there.
Nothing shows.
Nothing there
Will ever glow.
