Shyness lies in the eyes

Imam al-Qurtubi (rahimullah) said:
“Shyness lies in the eyes”. [at-Tadhkirah, p.31]

“The girl who stares at men and distributes her glances to the passerby, will lose something of her beauty. Thus, Allāh swt described the hoor as: ‘And with them will be women limiting their glances, with large, beautiful eyes’”.

[Ibraheem al-Sakran (rahimullah)]

Imam al-Qurtubi:

“So, when the Qur'an is recited, listen to it, and be silent that you may receive mercy.” (7:204)

If this is the reward for the one who merely listens to the Qur'an, what about the one who recites it?

10 Cara Wanita Menyelamatkan Diri Dari Fitnah

1. HINDARI GOSSIP

Ingatlah gossip itu sebagai perbuatan yang sangat menjijikan{ QS AL HUJURAT 12}

2. MENJAGA PAKAIAN

Perhatikanlah cara berpakaian kita.
( QS AN NUR 31 )

5.HATI-HATI MEMILIH TEMAN

Seperti disebut dalam point pertama hendaknya kita hindari gossip. Salah satu caranya adalah memilih teman yang tepat yaitu teman yang selalu mengajak kepada kebenaran, mengingatkan kita jika salah. Bukan teman yang hanya suka berhura-hura Rasul berpesan : "Seseorang akan mengikuti cara temannya maka berhati-hatilah memilih teman yang anda percayai { HR ABU DAUD}

9. BERPUASALAH

Seperti di singgung di atas, bagi yang tidak mampu menikah sebaiknya berpuasa.Tidak mampu disini bisa jadi karena tidak punya biaya atau belum ketemu jodohnya, Bersabarlah dan berpuasalah. Dengan berpuasa hati dan fikiran menjadi lebih tenang karena puasa bisa mengurangi nafsu terhadap dunia {AL QURTUBI}

The Messenger of Allah said: “Allah said: ‘Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting; it is for Me and I shall reward for it…’”

Al-Bukhaari (1761) and Muslim (1946)

Al-Qurtubi said: Because showing off may enter into all good deeds, but no one can see when a person is fasting except Allah, so Allah connected it to Himself. Hence He said in the hadeeth, “He gives up his desire for My sake.”

Ibn al-Jawzi said: All acts of worship can be seen when done, and they may be contaminated with some element of showing off, unlike fasting.

Yuk bergantung sama al-qur'an

“Kitab (Al-Qur'an) yang Kami turunkan kepadamu penuh berkah agar mereka menghayati ayat-ayatnya dan agar orang-orang yang berakal sehat mendapat pelajaran”. QS. Sad: 29.

Fatir: 29.

anonymous asked:

how can I know Allah accepted my fast? i feel theres something wrong with my faith and im scared my fast and efforts wont be accepted. thank you

as-Salaamu Alaykum

Narrated Abu Huraira (radiallahu anhu):
(Allah says about the fasting person), ‘He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times.“ (Sahih Bukhari)

When explaining this ahadith Imam Al Qurtubi (rahimullah) stated: ‘Since all forms of worship can be affected by Riyaa (showing off), and the worship of fasting cannot be seen by the mere practice of it except by Allah, Allah attributed it to Himself and this is why he said: “…He forsakes his pleasure for My sake…”

So please dont let shytaan make you doubt your fast. Just be careful not to gossip or say bad words while you are fasting insha'Allah

May Allah accept it from you. Ameen

الله

Allaah|  He Who deserves to be worshipped.

He [Allaah] is the One and Only Deity, The One who is worshipped, the One who deserved to be worshipped, Allaah by the whole of His creation.

 Verse from the Qur’aan where the name Allaah is used.

That is Allaah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is the Disposer of all things. - 6:102

Imam al Qurtubi said in his Tafseer (in regards to the name ‘Allaah’):

Nothing else has this name; not found in female or plural form.Some scholars say that this is His Greatest and most complete name.It has three possible meanings:The One who deserves to be worshipped, the One whose existence is a must (he has always been there and He shall be) and The Unique One.

Application

Knowing the definition behind the name Allaah, it should inspire to direct all of our worship towards Allaah alone. It should drive home the fact that only Allaah is deserving of worship and no statue, no creation whether dead or alive is worth that. He Subhanahu wa Ta’ala alone deserves the ultimate gratitude and devotion from His salves.

Authentic supplications

“O Allaah! Grant me an easy reckoning”.

-Sahih hasan hadith recorded by Ahmad.

“O Allaah! I ask you guidance, piety and chastity and to be free of depending upon anyone {except You}”

-Sahih Muslim (1/71)

And Allaah the All Knowing knows best.

Ibn Mas’ood said :

I swear by Allah, besides whom there is no god! Whenever a person suspects good in Allah, Allah will *certainly* give Him just as one had suspected. That is because all goodness is in His hands.

At-Tazkirah Bil Ahwal Al-Mauta | Imam Al-Qurtuby

Superiority of Muslim Women over Hoor al-Ayn

Allah (SWT) mentions that He will recreate Muslim women in Paradise in the following verse of Quran:

“Lo! We have created them a (new) creation. And made them virgins…” [Sura Al-Waqi'ah (56): 35-36]

That is, Allah will recreate the elderly women and make them virgins;  the same will be done for old men, Allah will make them youth.

This is  also mentioned in the following Hadith:

Al-Hasan Al-Basri says that: “An old woman came to the Messenger of  Allah (صلی الله علیه وسلم) and made a request: ‘O, Messenger of Allah, make dua that Allah  grants me entrance into Jannah.’ The Messenger of Allah (صلی الله علیه وسلم) replied: ‘O,  Mother, an old woman cannot enter Jannah.’ That woman started crying and  began to leave. The Messenger of Allah (صلی الله علیه وسلم) said: ‘Say to the woman that one  will not enter in a state of old age, but Allah will make all the women  of Jannah young virgins forever.’” [At-Tirmidhi]

It is also mentioned in the Hadith that the women of this worldly life  have superiority over Hoor al-Ayn due to the acts of worship  and obedience that they performed in this world. Therefore, the  believing women will enter Paradise just like the believing men. If a  woman had a number of husbands, she, upon entering Paradise with them,  would choose among them the one with the best character and behavior.

The following Hadiths confirms the fact stated above:

Umm Salamah (رضي الله عنه) narrates that she said to the Prophet  Muhammad (صلی الله علیه وسلم): “O, Messenger of Allah, are the women of  this world superior or the Hoors of Paradise?” He replied: “The women  of this world will have superiority over the Hoors just as the  outer lining of a garment has superiority over the inner lining.” Umm  Salamah (رضي الله عنه) then asked: “O, Messenger of Allah, what is the reason for this?” He  (صلی الله علیه وسلم) answered: “Because they performed prayer, fasted, and worshiped Allah.  Allah will put light on their faces and silk on their bodies. The  human women will be fair in complexion and will wear green clothing and  yellow jewelry. Their incense-burners will be made of pearls and their  combs will be of gold. They will say, ‘We are the women who will stay  forever and we will never die. We are the women who will always remain  in comfort and we will never undergo difficulty. We are the women who  will stay and we will never leave. Listen, we are happy women and we  will never become sad. Glad tidings to those men for whom we are and who  are for us.’” [Tabarani]

Al-Qurtubi said: Abu Bakr ibn al-Najjad said: Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn  Shaakir told us, ‘Ubayd ibn Ishaaq al-‘Attar told us, Sinan ibn  Haroon told us, from Humayd from Anas that Umm Habibah, the wife of the  Prophet (صلی الله علیه وسلم) said: “O, Messenger  of Allah, if a woman had two husbands in this life, then they all died  and came together in Paradise, with which of them would she be – the  first or the last?” He (صلی الله علیه وسلم) said: “With the one whose attitude and conduct  with her was best; O, Umm Habibah, a good attitude brings one the best  of this world and the Hereafter.” [Al-Tadhkirah fi Ahwal al-Mawta  wa’l-Akhirah, 2/278]

Imam Qurtubi in his “at-Tadhkirah fi-Ahwalil Mawta wa'l-Akhirah (in   Remembrance of the Affairs of the Dead and Doomsday)” and Ibn Kathir in his “al-Bidaya wa'n-Nihaya (Kitabu’l-Fitan wa’l-Malahim) the Termination  of the Afflictions and Fierce Battles” tell the story of the songs of Hoors in heaven: “Hoors will sing for their own husbands, songs are so  marvelous that every hearer will be so pleased. Hoor will say: “We are Hoors who have not had a sin.” The women of this world will reply them  saying: “We are the fasters (who keep fast), and you are not, we are the  prayers, but you are not and we are the givers of charity but you are  not.”

And there is another narration which is famous with the name “Hadith of  Soor” narrated from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet Muhammad (صلی الله علیه وسلم) said that: “Every man in heaven will go to 72 of the  creatures of Allah (Hoors) and 2 of the women of mankind, these two  women are superior to the creatures of Allah (Hoors) with their  worshipping (good deeds) they had performed in this world.” [Bayhaqi,  al-Bas wa’n-Nushur; Tabari, Tafsir; Abu Yala, Ibn Hajar, Fathu’l-Baari,  Tabarani and others]

So it is clear that Muslim women will not feel jealous of the Hoor al-Ayn as righteous women of this world will be much more  superior and beautiful than Hoor al-Ayn in Jannah.Thus, the situation of the believing woman in Paradise will be better  than the situation of the Hoor al-Ayn; she will be higher in  status and more beautiful. If a righteous woman from among the people of  this world enters Paradise, then she will do so as a reward for her  righteous deeds and as an honor from Allah to her for her religious  commitment and righteousness. As for the Hoor who is one of the  delights of Paradise, is an immortal woman, who does not age. She speaks  softly and does not raise voice at her man; she is always reconciled  with him. Having been brought up in luxury, she is a luxury herself, she  has only been created in Paradise for the sake of someone else, and has  been made the reward for the believing man for his righteous deeds.  There is a great difference between one who enters Paradise as a reward  for her righteous deeds and the one who was created as a reward for one  who did righteous deeds. The former is a queen and a princess, and the  latter, no matter how beautiful she is, is undoubtedly lower in status  than a queen, and she (Hoor al-Ayn) is subject to the command of her believing  master (man) for whom Allah created her as a reward.

Imam Qurtubi:

“One shouldn’t be harsh when commanding good and forbidding evil. Rather, be gentle.”

[Imam Qurtubi’s tafsir, 11/200]

Why your du’as are not answered.

It was said to Ibrahim bin Adham: What’s wrong with us that we make du’a and we receive no answer?

Ibrahim said:

  • It’s because you know Allaah and you don’t obey Him.
  • You know the Messenger and you don’t follow his Sunnah.
  • You know the Qur’an and you don’t act according to it.
  • You eat from the blessings of Allaah and you’re not thankful for it.
  • You know Paradise and you don’t seek it.
  • You know the Hellfire and you don’t flee from it.
  • You know Iblees and you don’t fight him but rather you agree with him.
  • You know death and you don’t prepare for it.
  • You bury the dead and you don’t learn from it.
  • You ignore your own faults and you’re concerned with the faults of others.

Your Dua's not being answered?

Ibraheem ibn Adham رحمه الله was approached in the Souq and was asked about the saying of Allāh the Exalted: And Your Lord said: Supplicate to me and I will answer your supplication.

“We supplicate but our prayers are not answered!” He said: “Your hearts have become dead due to ten reasons:–

1. You know Allāh but have not fulfilled His right;

2. You read the Book of Allāh but do not abide by it;

3. You proclaim enmity of Shaytān but made him your guardian &
protector;

4. You claim love of the Messenger but you left his path and his tradition (Sunnah);

5. You claim love of Paradise but you do not work for it;

6. You claim fear of the Hellfire but do not renounce committing sins;

7. You claimed that you believed that death was a reality but you did not ready yourselves for it;

8. You occupy yourselves with the faults of others and neglect your own faults;

9. You eat from the sustenance that Allāh provides for you but do not show gratitude; and

10. (Lastly) You bury your deceased but do not take heed from it.”

Subhan'Allah. Just everytime, every single time I stumble upon this it never fails to pinch my heart and bring tears to my eyes.

Let me tell you the whole story of this photo.

This incident happened during the time of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

One day, a man went up to the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam and complained about his father who takes everything that he earns. So the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam told the man to go and bring his father to him.

On the man’s way back to get his father, Angel Jibrail Alaihi Salaam came down and told the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam: “when the old man comes, ask him what he was murmuring on his way here.”

So when the old man came, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam asked him: “Is it true what your son has been telling?”

The old man answered: “Ya Rasulullah! Yes it is true, I give it to her aunt that lives alone and no one to take care of…”

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam then asked: “On your way here, what were you murmuring?”

THEN THAT WAS THE TIME HE UTTERED THESE WORDS ON THE PHOTO. Subhan'Allah!!!

When he finished saying all those words, wallah, as the narration said, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam’s beard was soaked with tears and couldn’t speak for some time.

After that he grabbed the man on his neck and told him, “Everything that you own belongs to your father.”

Wallah, I never forget this story for it has such deepness, the love of our parents is just amazing, may we all realize this soonest, and not on the time when everything is too late.

We are amazed with the love of our parents for us, then imagine when it is said that Allah Azza Wa Jall loves us more than our parents could ever love us. Allahu'akbar! Al Wadood!

And I pray this story would always bring us back to our feet. No matter how high of a status we will get in this dunya, remember it is from Allah and from the efforts that our parents have given for us.

Yes, go and kiss your parents and thank them, for simply taking care of you all these years.
