A study has shown that learning and speaking Arabic stimulates the brain and prepares it to tackle various intellectual activities.

This is because it has emerged that the resources of both the right and left hemisphere parts of the brain are being utilized at the same time.

Allah has said in the Holy Qur'aan:

*{ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ}*
[يوسف: ٢]

*“Verily, we have revealed the Qur'aan in Arabic so that you may become wise.”*
[Sura Yousef: 2]

Life is not a constant of happy; there are moments of everything; moments of grief, moments of contentment, moments of sorrow, moments of blessings and moments of intense hardship. Allaah ta’aala state in His Book,

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, [2:155]

Reminding us that He will test us. Reminding us that it will take place, but to be patient & good tidings are to the patient. & who are the patient?

(Those) who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return.”  [2:156]

Allaah ta’aala is reminding us that to Him is our return. To Him is our return. To Him is our return, to be patient with the hardships, be patient with the fluctuations in life. Be patient. To Him is your return. Remind yourself at the onset of any hardship that this will all pass, this is temporary, this is just a test and to Him is your return. & the patient are:

Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.  [2:157]

So be patient, and you will be blessed. Be patient and Allaah will have Mercy on you. Be patient; the patient are those whom are rightly guided. May Allaah guide us, may He make us of the patient, may He bestow upon us His blessings, and may He bless us with that which is best.

It was said to al-Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy upon him, ‘Fulan (such and such person) Yahfadhu -is memorising/memorises- the Qur'an.’ He replied, 'Rather, the Qur'an Yahfadh-hu -is preserving/ preserves- him.’

(The Arabic word 'Hifdh’ is used to mean both memorisation and preservation of something/to keep something or someone safe.)

A German brother who is a revert to Islam gives Da'wah in Germany streets inviting the non-Muslims to Islam, Masha'Allaah!

This duty of conveying the message of Islam is incumbent upon every member of the Muslim Ummah. As Allaah سبحانه و تعالى says in the Qur'aan:

“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good; enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, they are the ones to attain success.” [Qur'aan, Surah Ali’ Imran [3:104]]

You read the Book of Allaah yet there’s nothing. You read the words. There’s nothing. Please don’t expect for there to be this miraculous overwhelming feeling of admiration and love for His Book when you’ve been so gone from it for so long. It’ll take time. It’ll take time for the words to be read with meaning, for the heart to remember the feeling; for you to feel the immense love for Allaah’s words deep in your soul. It’ll take time, so be patient with your self, be patient with your nafs, be patient. Be consistent. Read. Read. Read, as much as you can. Read, listen, recite. Ponder over the words, embrace them, live them. There’s no connection unless you establish one. Listen to Him when you read His words. Listen to the truth. Don’t expect everything to come at once. Be patient. But be consistent.

The reciters of the Qur’aan are of three types: Those who take it as a commodity and gain their sustenance from it. Those who establish its words, yet neglect its commandments (i.e. read it but don’t practice according to it). Due to (their knowledge of) it, they act arrogantly towards the people of their land and they use it (the Qur’aan) as a support for gaining positions of authority. This type of people from among the bearers of the Qur’aan are many. May Allaah diminish their number! And there is a type who apply the remedy of the Qur’aan and thus place it over the sickness of their hearts. Due to it, their battles come to a standstill and they feel compassionate in their burnooses (long capes worn by the people of old). And they feel a sense of fear (of Allaah) and the worries (of the worldly life) have left them. They are the ones whom Allaah sends His rain down upon and He sends victory through them over the enemies. By Allaah, this type of group from the carriers of the Qur’aan are more honorable than that of flaming torches in the sight of the rest of the reciters of the Qur’aan.

“And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad salallaahu alaihi wa sallam) after the right path has been shown clearly to him- and follows other than the believers (companions) way- We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell. What an evil destination.” [An-Nisa’ :115)
