It’s bizarre, really. You take a crop like soy, oats, corn or wheat: products high in fibre and complex carbohydrates, but devoid of cholesterol and artery clogging saturated fat. You feed them into animals and create something with no fibre, complex carbs, but with loads of bad fats. It makes about as much sense as taking clean water, running it through your sewer system and then drinking it.
