quite big

When you play Just Dance 2016, dance Diva Carmina’s “Drop the Mambo” and think of Razorwife from a Rayman game dressed like the man in the video.

Here my comment originally posted on DeviantART:

“So, for Christmas my sister wanted to buy Just Dance 2016 for the Wii, even if I initially didn’t agree with her. Then, after several weeks, I and her played it together; I’m terrible with dance, so I did my best to achieve as many points as possible. One of my first danced songs was “Drop the Mambo” by Diva Carmina and I noticed the dancer looked quite “big” and ridiculous, until one day…

… I decided to make this pic with Razorwife, a character from Rayman Arena, for fun. The main reason is that he feminine voice which “musically screams” in the song reminded me a lot of this character.
So I sketched, made the lineart and filled the space, when, for curiosity, I went to Just Dance’s Wikia page to read some informations about Drop the Mambo and…
… there I discovered…
… the dancer…
… was…

…a he!
Ref here: justdance.wikia.com/wiki/Drop_…

Shocked by the truth, I realized why the dancer in the game was odd! XD

Anyway, beside jokes and fake drama, I simply suspended the drawing to take care of my new Manhunter comic, which still keeps me busy. I make at least a page or two weekly of it.
Now that in one week I finished the background, highlights and lights effects, now I can mind on my another unfinished drawing. Another digital one, but lineless. ;_;
Hope you like it.“

Hey, hope you're open to questions about Muslim relationships, just in reference to your last post about skam. Is it vital in Islam that a faithful Muslim must also marry a faithful Muslim? Or is that completely up to the person? Does Sana have the choice to decide if she is still interested in Yousef despite his lack of beliefs (I know she clearly values her faith) or does she have to marry a faithful Muslim?

Hi there! Thank you for your question, before I start I would like to say that I can’t speak for all Muslims because we all have a variety of interpretations about our religion so it’s important to note that before reading.

In Islam, it’s important that you marry a Muslim and like Sana said, it’s written in the Qu’ran. This is there because marrying a non-Muslim can cause conflict in the marriage since there’s something quite big missing i.e. a lack of complete understanding for how the other chooses to live their life. Islam is, for a lot of Muslims, a religion that many hold above everything. Islam is everywhere, it always comes first. God always comes first. That’s why it’s important for some Muslims, such as Sana, that their spouse be Muslim because they can share their faith and support each other. It’s very difficult to compromise values and beliefs when it’s as big as religion.

You asked whether Sana has a choice and the answer is yes, she can choose to marry him if she wishes. This season has all been about religion being a choice Sana makes every day rather than a restriction upon her which is a common misconception. So yes, Sana can choose to pursue Yousef despite his beliefs but she will know that it’s not a choice that complies with her religion. Nobody can stop Sana from her decision except herself. My sister had to make a choice when she began to like a non-Muslim and it’s incredibly difficult but she made the choice on her own.

I’m not fully sure what you meant by a ‘faithful’ Muslim but I’m guessing you mean a practicing Muslim? (Let me know if I’m wrong) A Muslim is, firstly and foremostly, a person who believes in Allah. There are five pillars in Islam and the first is Shahada (Arabic for ‘testimony’) which is a declaration of faith in God. Before praying, before any Islamic rule, this is the most important step and the defining characteristic of a Muslim. Yousef made it clear that he does not believe in Allah. If Yousef was non-practicing but believed in Allah, there wouldn’t be a huge issue and Sana could easily marry him. But he doesn’t, which makes this decision much harder.

Hope that helped, feel free to ask more questions if you need to :)

Hey uh.. not to bother you by any means.. but can I get a link to those tips for drawing people crying you did once?? I looked through all the tags and couldn't find it myself, sorry..

Oh, it’s no bother! http://whatisthiscutenonsense.tumblr.com/post/147379834506/eruhamster-retroautomaton-some-crying-tips

But honestly, I’m not actually too happy with those anymore. They’re pretty old. I still sort of hold the same value when I draw them, but here’s some more updated tips, if that’s alright.

One of the biggest complaints I got with those tips was that just a single tear is good enough. Well yes and no. Tears are just a helpful tool, and of course not everyone cries the same, so yes, a single tear can be just as impactful, as long as your emotion and context carries the message.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, there’s heavy crying. And this can take many forms. Again, the face has to carry the intensity of the emotion; the tears are just there to emphasize it. More intensity, (for some people) does tend to include more liquids and leaking.

And of course none of it has to be perfect or even. As I love to touch on, crying is messy and ugly. It brings out the most strained emotions. So none of it has to be symmetrical to get the point across- if anything, it gives it more movement.

I of course draw in a more cartoony fashion, so if you did want to go on the more realistic end of the spectrum, you can focus on the actual physics of tears and how they act and react on the face. More realistically, they come from the inner eye, and are much smaller. They tend to fall in wayward paths, slowly, but  sperraticly, and in droplets or thin streams. You can also add streak marks and flush up the face, depending on the subject.

I’m glad you liked my old tips, and I hope these new ones help!
