7 simple water spells that use 2 ingredients or fewer

Not everyone has the time or money for a busy, involved spell. It takes practice, a quiet place to sit down, and often a lot of meditation or introspection before you can create a really POWERFUL spell. However, sometimes what you need isn’t power, but speed - these spells answer just that need combining water and no more than TWO other ingredients to create useful, flexible spells. They’re not the most powerful bits of magick you can perform, but they work fast, they don’t need a protective circle to cast them, and they can be re-performed easily and with almost no ingredient costs!

  1. Fill a glass with water, and invoke the healing elements of Water and Earth. Pour healing energies into the water, and add a sprinkle of salt to cleanse out impure energy. Drink this water in one go for a fast and easy noticeable healing spell. Please note, however, that it is not a super-powerful spell! If you really need healing, perform a proper, strong spell after going to a doctor

  2. Dip your finger into a glass of saturated salty water, and use the water to draw a pentacle upon your table or altar. When the water evaporates it will leave the salt behind, creating a perfect salt pentacle perfect for keeping your altar free of harmful energies. This also means that it can be washed off in seconds with a damp paper towel or wash-cloth, making it easy to clean up and easy to dispose of in an instant if you are a secret or hidden Witch in an unfriendly environment.

  3. Mix sugar and a spice, such as vanilla* or cinnamon, into water and bless it under moonlight. Dedicate it to the moon and to the cycles of nature. Then, before the sun rises, pour the water out over any plants in your garden that need a little extra help staying healthy and strong.

*Please only use vanilla extract, vanilla paste, or vanilla bean for this! Vanilla essence is NOT real vanilla, and has never seen the inside of any herbs at all. Vanilla essence is a chemical called vanillin, which was created synthetically in a factory - it is NOT a real herb!

  4. Add rosemary and sage to a jug of cool water, and leave it to sit in the fridge for three days. Take the jug out and dip a paintbrush into this water, and then paint the potion upon the top of any doors in your house that face the outside. This will prevent negative spirits from entering your dwelling, and will help prevent you bringing stress in from the outside world with you too!

  5. Add together 3 parts dried rosemary (or 5 parts fresh), 6 parts water (8 if using fresh herb) and 2 parts salt, boil together in a pan for at least 10 minutes, then leave this to sit in a cool place away from as much sunlight as possible. Leave this potion to sit and infuse for at least 2 weeks, and then during your showers measure out about a quarter-cup (~60ml) of the potion. Apply this to your scalp and hair, massaging vigorously, and then after at least 1 minute of leaving it in wash it out with shampoo and water. This potion is extremely nourishing for the hair, and will help your hair stay stronger for longer. Soak your hands and feet in it for 10 minutes twice-daily as a nail strengthener, too! Keep refrigerated when not in use!

  6. Under a full moon, step out into nature and bless a bucket of water. Add a handful of salt, and command the salt to dispel all impurities and harmful energies in the water, and then use whatever incantation or wording you choose to tell the water that anything washed within it will be cleansed of foul energies and made new again. Then use the water to wash down any items in your house that might have negative energies attached; for example a necklace that was given to you by an abusive ex; a favourite toy from your childhood before you moved away and couldn’t play with it anymore; or perhaps a ritual tool that has not been cleansed in a long time and has energies built up inside it. This water will remove all the bad energies, and leave the good ones, allowing you to make the object’s energy “new” again and remove bad associations.

  7. Fill a glass of water and dip your thumb into it, before pushing your Will into the water to infuse it with creativity, confidence, and innovation. Drink this water, or give it to someone you think needs it, and for a little while it will infuse them all the tools they need to be strong, confident, assertive and make their points well. Drink it before anything that requires these skills, such as a job interview, a presentation for school, or before asking your crush out on a date. It will fill you with confidence and help you get the job done right!

I hope this helps a lot of Witches who might be busy or secret or poor or forgetful, or maybe all of them together! Good luck my wonderful Witches, and may the Goddess bless you all!

Imagine with me, if you will, eighth year: Draco the Gay Disaster™ sitting in a quiet place “studying” next to Harry Potter. A word, here, which means trying desperately not to stare at the gorgeous man next to him lest he get caught.  So Draco doesn’t see Harry reach his arms above his head, stretching out his poor muscles after sitting over his parchments/books…but Draco does hear Harry let a tiny moan followed by a deep sigh and Draco’s head snaps up so quickly because he felt that sound in his entire body.

anonymous asked:

Dude, requests are back up, awesome! How about DAI companions + Krem de la creme reacting to the inquisitor being one of the last avian folk?(Like, they have big ass wings, so they always wear an even bigger cloak to hide them, and during battle somehow, they end up losing the cloak? They can legit fly with them)

Cassandra: She stares and stares before angrily demanding to know why they hid this from her. They sheepishly explain their situation, and she calms down, but it doesn’t change the fact they hid it. When she eventually gets over it, she sometimes just sits and watches them fly around (which they do for fun; they’re actually sort of relieved to be revealed for this reason). It makes her nervous, at first, worrying they’ll suddenly drop, but she’s awed by how agile and graceful they are in the sky. Once or twice, they have to pick her up and drop her somewhere else, and it makes her nervous every time they pick her up, and she hates how helpless she feels suspended in the air. If Romanced: Sometimes he takes her flying for no reason other than a good time. She likes it significantly more than non-romanced flying. Eventually, they’ll land, and have a quiet, serene place to sit together while she listens to him recite poetry.

Blackwall: He stares. That’s all he can do as he gawks with a slack jaw for a long time. He has no words– trying for speech just results in helpless sputtering. The man stands aside as the others fuss and try to make sense of the situation, and speaks last. He gets over it, though, once he hears the story, and doesn’t mind at all. “They’re like a pair of griffon wings,” he admires, “powerful and fast.” If the Herald can lift him up, it makes him supremely uncomfortable the first time they take him into the sky, but he finds that he thinks it’s fun. If Romanced: He regularly compliments her on how beautiful her wings are, and he tries to help itch and clean the spots she can’t reach easily. He brings her flowers that grow all the way up on a mountainside, and she gently teases him and says she could just fly him up there. “No, my lady,” he refuses, “it’s not the same if all the work’s taken out of it. You shouldn’t waste your time helping me get you flowers; let me do the work.”

Iron Bull: After getting past the initial shock, he’s utterly green with envy. It looks like SO MUCH FUN, taking off like a dragon to the skies. The Herald tries to pick him up (to no avail, he’s too heavy) to give him the experience of flying, so he takes it upon himself to make them stronger and faster, so they can. Push-ups with wings, laps around Skyhold, timing their speed of flight, you name it. “Just wait. You’ll go back to your people and fly circles around them! When you can finally lift me up, you can air-drop me on the enemies for an attack from above! It’s gonna be great!” If romanced: Hot. He’s 100% into this. He snickers if any feathers get ruffled or fall off after sex. “Did I ruffle your feathers, Kadan?” he teases, and he just laughs as they slap him with a wing. He ties one of the feathers that fall off to the dragontooth necklace, as long as they don’t mind.

Sera: She’s freaked out and utterly shocked. She has no idea how to react, so she just stares for a long time, sputtering helplessly. She feels bad later at how upset they seemed at her facial expression. “Aw, shite… well, your feathery ass is welcome here, alright?” she reassures. She likes tossing things at them when they’re flying to see if they can catch it, and it becomes a sort of game/exercise routine. She also talks them into using their wings to prank others. She screams the first time they pick her up and take her into the sky, but soon she realizes she likes it, so long as she trusts the Herald. Sometimes she’ll ask to be taken with them, because she thinks it’s exhilarating– and a few times, shoots arrows at people from above while the Herald carries her. “Death from above! Arrows from the sky! I even have a source of feathers for fletching at any moment! Hah!” A few times, if she needs them, she’ll just pluck a feather clean off if there’s none lying around, and sticks her tongue out as the Herald protests. “What? You still got a lot of ‘em. Your wings are huge!” Also jokingly refers to wings/feathers sticking out as “wingboners.” If Romanced: She likes tickling her wings and playing with her feathers, and sleeping under a wing when they’re in bed together. “They’re soft. And fuzzy. And cute.” she gushes. She also learns how to preen the feathers, and takes to doing so regularly out of affection, at least in the areas her girlfriend can’t reach with ease. She typically finishes it off by taking a feather or two that falls off to keep for herself.

Varric: “Holy Mother of Andraste’s ass.” he breathes, taking it all in. He comes around quickly, though, and asks a lot of questions– though few on anatomy, unlike Dorian, and more on who they are, where they come from, and about their people. He’s fascinated, and taking notes. Sometimes when he’s out of writing quills, he wryly asks them if he can take one of theirs– or may just take one if they drop off from time-to-time. He’s not a fan of going into the sky, at all. “You know, I like the idea of getting as far away from the Stone as possible,” he says nervously as he looks down at the world below, “but this is a bit too far. Dwarves don’t fly.”

Cole: He knew, and he doesn’t mind in the least. “I am sorry. The others know, and they want to help. They don’t mind the wings.” He also comments that the others are happy while watching the Herald fly, and the Inquisitor takes to doing small shows on a regular basis for the crowd at Skyhold, which always draws large numbers. Everyone is cheered by the amazing sight of them in the sky, and morale goes up. People start sitting and waiting for hours before the show starts. Cole smiles– they helped.

Dorian: About five million questions start flying from his lips as soon as he’s out of the initial shock. How fast can you fly? How many feathers do you have? What’s the bone structure of your wings? Can you stick one straight out so I can measure how long it is? Where are your people from? Why are you the only one out here? It makes them more than a little uncomfortable, and he feels bad when he realizes how uncomfortable they are. “Oh.” he says, suddenly quiet. “I… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to… if you need to talk, let me know?” He loves watching them soar through the sky, and he takes notes as he watches. He considers them and their wings utterly beautiful, and he feels honored to know them and witness their flight. He does not particularly care for going in the air, though, citing a sudden fear of extreme heights as he clings to the Herald, trying desperately to not look down. If Romanced: He loves preening his lover’s feathers, because it’s hard for them to reach behind and get them clean. He finishes it all with a kiss. He feels so safe under his boyfriend’s wings as they lay together, and he silently smirks as he imagines his father’s reaction to seeing his boyfriend.

Vivienne: She has to work to hide her complete and utter shock, and briefly scolds the Herald for not telling her before. When they’re comfortable, she examines their wings in detail. She figures out a grooming regimen. “Darling, everyone knows what you are now– there’s no point in hiding your wings any longer.” She smiles. “So use them. Preen them. Take the time and effort to make them presentable. You will be imposing, awe-inspiring, beautiful, majestic, and everyone will know it with a single glance.” She introduces them to her tailor, who manages to make them outfits that accommodate the wings– even accentuate them. Vivienne does not like being taken into the sky, but tolerates it if necessary in combat.

Solas: Their people were known to the ancient Elvhen, but their numbers were in slow decline– he’s honestly surprised that there’s any still around at all. He’s sympathetic to them, and surprises them by being the least shocked of any of the party members. He claims that he has seen their people before in the Fade, and suddenly the other party members are coming to him, asking for information. When he shakes them off, he mentions to the Herald that they shouldn’t hide their wings, for they are beautiful and proof of their ancient people. He asks them a lot of questions about the current state of their race, about their society, which befuddles the Herald. He doesn’t seem to mind being lifted into the air, if need be, and may even ask the Herald to carry him to places inaccessible by walking alone. If Romanced: They spend dates just finding places that only winged creatures can reach, and they look over the world together. They slumber and see memories previous unexplored by the remote location, and Solas feels genuine happiness that someone can understand the value of unexplored dreams. “Thank you, ma vhenan. Thank you…”

Cullen: He just sighs. Somehow this doesn’t even shock him. Maybe he’s seen too much. He’s a bit frustrated that they didn’t tell him to begin with, but lets it go readily. He asks if they know any others of their kind who would be interested in joining the Inquisition– flying soldiers would be excellent– and finds himself bewildered as they tell him that the vast majority of their people are shy and mistrustful of land-dwellers. He apologizes, and does not press the matter further. He enjoys watching them fly, and compliments them on their ability, but absolutely hates being taken off the ground and into the sky in any circumstances. If Romanced: He’s somewhat more tolerant of being taken into the sky, but he still doesn’t like it. Sometimes when he’s having bad dreams, he awakens as one of her wings gently folds over him, covering him softly, affectionately, and his heart rate slows. He’s safe, and she loves him, and he feels it. He goes back to sleep in peace, happy with what he has and who he loves.

Leliana: She’s just envious, if anything; she wouldn’t mind being able to fly. She was wondering what they were hiding, and found several stray feathers (which may or may not be in unusual colors) from time-to-time, and this explains it. She takes it pretty calmly, and asks if they know any others of their kind that might be willing to join as agents, or even airborne couriers. If the Herald ever takes her into the sky, she acts totally calm, but she LOVES it, even though she doesn’t say so.

Josephine: She’s at a loss. She tries to quickly compose herself and awkwardly make sense of the situation, but once the shock wears off, she’s endlessly curious about being able to fly. She watches them zip through the sky with grace and speed and is utterly mesmerized. Like Vivienne, she encourages a strict preening regimen– if they’re going to have wings, they might as well make them presentable. Eventually, the Herald offers to take her flying, and she squeals with a mix of delight and a bit of fright. Her hair blows loosely, and the wind’s on her face, and by the time the Herald brings her back down, she’s dazed and eager for the next time they fly together. If Romanced: They take her flying with them all the time, and it makes for interesting dates. She giggles and squeals (and on one occasion, screams as they do a loop with her in their arms) and has the time of her life. They always end it by landing somewhere picturesque, and they sit together, cuddling and admiring the world around them.

Krem: “Your… your Worship?” he asks, shocked, not sure if he’s seeing correctly, or if Bull’s pulling a prank like that time they all covered themselves with feathers– but no, it’s really them. If they don’t mind, he asks them questions about flying, and remarks that the Chargers would love having one of their kind on the team, if they know anyone looking for work. Sometimes he tosses his stuffed winged nug plushies at them from the ground, and they catch, not unlike the game played with Sera. He really likes flying, and admires the view of the world below.

Godric's Hollow, 1899

Bathilda: Gellert, love, can you come over here and help me with something?

Gellert: *closes his book* Of course, Tante.

As soon as he arrives in Godric’s Hollow, Grindelwald begins exploring the little village. He discovers a quiet place near the graveyard, where he can sit down and write about his findings or read in peace - thankfully, Bathilda Bagshot’s library is bursting with books he had dreamt of laying his hands on.

There is, however, one thing that Gellert notices after a few days go by…

Someone is watching him. He is certain that every day from around 13:15 to 14:07 someone who lives on the upper floor of the big old house near the graveyard comes up to the window to watch him.

Gellert finds it rather…curious.

When he gets back home one day, he cannot help but finally ask his aunt about the house.

Bathilda: Of course, dear, anything.

The Attack From Within...(Listen to your heart.)

My name is Ato C. Yankah jr, I’m a proud father of two angels and the founder of Gentleman’s Essentials and Iamato.Official. I am also a survivor of an heart attack. I was 44 years old at the time. The attack from within occurred a year ago out of nowhere. It struck me after dinner. My wife and I had guests over, my two kids were excited to stay up longer that night. From one second to the other I felt a growing pressure in my chest and my left arm felt numb. I excused myself and went to lie down. I remember that Hope my daughter followed me into the bedroom and lay down beside me. As the guests left I told my wife that I wasn’t feeling to well and the pressure in my chest was intensifying. She begged me to call my father. My father you should know is one of the leading heart surgeons of our time. So I called my father for advice. He then confirmed what I had been refusing to think. “Boy, call an ambulance, you’re suffering a heart attack.” That is a life changing moment, believe me. So my wife called an ambulance while I was on the phone trying to be contain myself, I also asked my wife to send our kids to their playroom, since I didn’t want to scare them.

As the first responders arrived, they took control of the situation. I was given morphine and rushed to the hospital…

This coming sunday is the first anniversary of the attack. I feel blessed to have survived of a heart attack. To be giving a second chance in life is the greatest gift imaginable. I would like to use my story and this platform to inform you about how to prevent and to recognise a heart attack.

Know The Difference

Appreciate Life

How does it feel to be alive?
It can not only be valuable for us to regularly appreciate the fact that we are alive, but we can also get great pleasure and meaning out of appreciating the experience of living.  Yet, amazingly, many people rarely take the time to do it.

*Just for a moment now, pinch yourself.  Look at your hands and your body.  Look around where you are.  Breathe in some air and feel it in your mouth or in your nose.  See yourself as a creature.  Reflect on the fact that, somehow, you are able to touch, taste, smell, see and hear things.  And, even more miraculously, you are able to reflect on the fact that you are experiencing these things!

In summary, you know what it’s like to be – to exist and experience things, and you can reflect on what it’s like.

A popular way of reaching a profound appreciation of the experience of ‘be-ing’ is to clear one’s mind of all the thoughts that are flowing through it by relaxing and focussing the mind.  This idea of ‘mind clearing’ is the aim of meditation, and meditation can be one of the most effective ways of achieving it.  It can have a number of benefits for us beyond the appreciation of living, such as helping us to relax and find peace.  A similar effect can also be achieved just by slowing down and sitting calmly in a quiet place.  How about lying in a field on a sunny day with the breeze blowing over your face?

Meditation can help us to develop a focussed appreciation of the experience of living, without the clutter and distraction of our thoughts and external influences.  You don’t have to be sat peacefully in a meditation room to appreciate the experience of being alive though – you can do it in any waking moment of the day, because let’s face it – you’re experiencing life all the time, whether or not it is peaceful at a particular point.  You might be at work, feeding the kids, going for a walk, speaking with friends, but at any point you can just mentally ‘stand back’ from the scene like you did at the start of this section (in the paragraph marked with an asterisk*) and remember that you are an ‘experiencing creature’ – touching, tasting, smelling, seeing and hearing, as well as having an ongoing stream of consciousness and thought that enables you to think about all of this.  In this situation, ask yourself what it feels like to be experiencing it.

Going through this process of remembering what it feels like to ‘experience’ anything can give us a sense of wonder and appreciation in our lives that can really inspire us and improve our well-being.

All of the Universes - Keith

read part one here!

When Keith arrived at dinner after their mission and sat, things felt tense and quiet in the air around the table. He couldn’t quiet place his finger on why though.

Quiet chatter between the members already sitting at the table hummed around him like background noise as he slopped food goo onto his plate and took a seat next to– Wait.

“Where’s Lance?” He wonders aloud, lifting a brow as he gazes at the empty chair next to his own. No one seemed to have heard him, so he turned more towards them to address the group directly.

Clearing his throat, he spoke again, louder. “Has anyone seen Lance?”

Warning: None

((I hope you like it anon!))

You knew the moment the crowned prince offered you the crown and gave you the title as “Queen of Love and Beauty” over his wife that this wasn’t just a harmless action. The way his purple indigo eyes watched you as you took the crown from the tip of his lance and placed it on your head…it scared you. The way he watched you even as everyone in attendance remained seated, all watching with eyes wide and full of shock, confusion, and a few of outrage. This wasn’t something you and your twin sister, Lyanna, would be gushing about later in your tent.

At least it wasn’t Lyanna. You couldn’t help but think as your brothers, Brandon and Ned, pulled you from the stands and back toward where the tents of the North had been set up among those of the Stormlands and the Vale.

Note: So um I had an idea, this happened. I’m planning to turn this into a series if you guys like it enough. I don’t know what will happen if I do but we’ll see if y’all want it to be a series or not. I based the library off the one at my school, it’s two stories and I love it and there’s a great spot in a corner next to a plug that I was sitting last week.

Then suddenly you felt a chill as dark clouds covered the sky and you felt the first of the rain drops. By the time you made it to the cover of the library you were completely soaked from the heavy rain that had set in and didn’t look like it would be going anywhere for a while.

Of course every good table in here is taken, why would anyone be outside in that? You ask yourself as you make your up to the second floor of the library in the hopes that you can find somewhere up there to sit.

As you move closer to the back corner your hopes are raised as you spot what you think is an empty table but when you get there you find someone sitting there, tucked away in the corner out of sight.

You stop right next to the table, the smile of relief falling off your face as you glare at the guy sitting there.

Nct U- First dates

Taeil has a fairly chilled personality so I feel like his first date with you would compliment that. He’d take you to the beach, listening to the dimmed sound of waves overlapping while happily conversing with one another. As it starts to get dark he’d softly strum random chords on his guitar as you fall into a comfortable silence.

Again I think Taeyong would want to have his first date with you somewhere quiet. Where there was minimal people so he could solely focus on you, like a coffee shop he discovered when he took cover in while the clouds unleashed a light downpour. You’d sit by the windows, allowing you to admire the droplets of rain falling gracefully outside while slowly sipping on coffee and what seemed to be a never ending game of 20 questions.

As soon as I got this request I instantly though of an arcade date with Doyoung. It was the perfect balance of fun and getting know each other. You’d work together and cheat through games to get as many tickets as possible in order to win the best prize. After both having to carry the huge bear you won outside you bought food from the local street food stands and found a quiet place to sit. The rest of your date would be spent sharing laughs and finding your common interests.

I feel like he would take you out to a little ramen place that he found in his trainee days that he wanted to share with you, by revealing a little part of his past you’d instantly become comfortable with one another. The dull chatter coming from the kitchen no longer mattered because the only thing you were focused on was chittaphon. Being the gentleman he is, he wouldn’t take no for an answer when offering to walk you home (and so that he could make plans for a second date.)

I’ve had this planned since I received this request omg. He’d take you to a little American diner, where the waitresses wore roller skates and the jukebox played old rock ‘n’ roll. It wasn’t fancy but it was homely. You’d both order milkshakes which you drank while finding out more about each other. As the night comes to an end and the diner starts to shut he’d put a quarter in the jukebox and pull you up for a dance while the old couple who owned the diner watch and reminisce.

I think he’d want to do something laid back because everything else in his life is pretty hectic. He’d take you to the movies, insisting on paying for everything. While the adverts played you’d throw popcorn at each other to sea who could catch it in their mouth first. In all honesty you would’t be paying much attention to the movie as you admired Mark, smiling every time his nose crinkled while laughing.

I really enjoyed writing this so I hope you guys like it too! If you do I’d love to do the same for the dream team. Hopefully once my exams are over I’ll be writing again :)

love you to the moon and back!

Date the witch in the camouflage coat. You find her in the city, hiding in parks and quiet places. When she sits still, all but her eyes dissapear into the undergrowth. She doesn’t like the concrete, but for you she’d come indoors.

Spell to Sleep

I’m having trouble sleeping right now so here’s this- Alex

-Optional- Burn sage to cleanse the area and hold quartz in one hand and lavender in the other (in any form

Sit in a quiet place, like your bedroom on a chair or bed.
Close your eyes and feel the energy in the room, imagine it going from all colors to white, calming energy
Imagine yourself going into a deep, meditated state of mind, now say:

“Into the dark of night, Let me drift to a quiet place, lovely dreams of things to come, or wishes I desire. I wish to stir with mornings light. May I be awake and refreshed. Thank you and I wish upon you the same rest and peace that you help me achieve,*God/god/goddess/deity/etc*”

Meant To Be (part 1)

A/N: Heyy everyone, I was thinking about to write something longer than I did before, so I decided to write my first series (? idk if I could call it this way). I almost gave the “Prankster In My Bed” title but it isn’t so romantic unfortunately haha. Please let me know if you liked it!

Information: In this story, the reader is a muggle-born Gryffindor girl in her 6th year and a real badass secretly. Likes reading, eating (”food is life”) and always loyal to her friends. I kind of like her to be honest. Young! Sirius Black x reader | Marauders era | part 2 |

Winter break was coming and everyone got excited about go home and spend time with their families, celebrate Christmas and New Year. You were listening to a group of 1st year Gryffindors who were talking about how much they are looking forward to have a little break. You groaned heavily after heard them and tried to not thinking about your own family and how bad you wanted to avoid them.

You lied to your mother in a letter (that you didn’t send too much times because they hated owls) that “the train from that weird school” can’t go back to London and you have to spend the winter break in Hogwarts – unfortunately, of course. They made jokes in the response about the train that couldn’t work the way it should even when it uses magic.

After you’ve got your letter from Hogwarts at your age of eleven, they started to look at you like some freak more than before. You knew that your father’s mother is a witch because she told you in your childhood. She didn’t even try to hide her hope for that you’re a witch too, and this made your parents angrier. You were always wondering about move to your grandparents. Your grandfather was muggle, but he was even amazed by the entire magic world and respected it.

So you stayed in the castle, didn’t take into consideration all of your roommates who asked you go home with them, after you said that you will be at the castle during the break because you don’t want to celebrate and spend time with your parents.

“It’s okay girls, really. I’ve changed my mind. My mum will cook great muggle dinner on Christmas and we will visit my grandparents who are amazing. I will enjoy it.”

You hugged each of them and they left you in your room without know that you lied. Your mother cooked terribly, didn’t matter what was the date, and they refused to visit your grandparents because they used magic at home that your parents couldn’t stand, so you didn’t allow visiting them alone either.

You let a huge delighted sigh, knowing that you will be all alone in the whole castle. You liked to be with your friends but in the other hand, you liked to idea of having some “me-time”. You haven’t got so many real friends even if you talked to and helped everyone in each house, but who really mattered to you were Lily, Marlene, Alice - your roommates - and Remus Lupin. Remus and you were very similar, so you became good friends soon in your first year. Your favorite program was sitting in the library or any peaceful, quiet places and reading a book, or just talk about everyday things. But what was really enjoyable to the two of you to be far away from crowd.

But he couldn’t spend with you as much time as you wished; he had his own group and they called themselves the Marauders. He was around them usually; they made pranks, jinxed and hexed people in the school. Remus didn’t join these rude things of course, he wasn’t that kind of person; but at the same time, he never tried to stop his friends. He told you its reason is that he was grateful for they were always with him whatever happened and he didn’t want to seem like he didn’t appreciate his friend’s loyalty for him.

And you accepted this because you were grateful to the Marauders too for helping and being with Remus. He told you stories about them and described their personalities, so you almost could say you knew the three of them even if you just barely talked.

The first day of the break was quite boring as you had to admit. You thought it will be good to be alone but you were wrong. It was almost scary to be the only one in the Gryffindor’s common room; so don’t need to say that when a black haired guy with an idiotic smile on his face almost jumped on you when set down on the coach, you almost had heart attack.

“Heyy, aren’t you bored, Y/N? Let’s do something funny!”

You furrowed your eyebrows in sudden and slowly turned your head towards him, who was as you realized one of Remus’ friends, Sirius Black. He had bright grey eyes that curiously looked into yours and a very mischievous smile which annoyed you a little. He didn’t even try to hide he was full of himself and he was very proud of he always got into trouble with James Potter and they could go detention together. He dated with so many girls from every house and broke up with them sometimes after a single night – these were the only two things you knew about him. So it was obvious if Sirius Black wanted to do “something funny” with you, it was probably illegal or a shame for you.

“I’m absolutely good, Sirius.” You said, still surprised a bit he knew your name.

“Come on, Y/N, the whole castle is ours! We can explore it, or go to Hogsmeade or-”

“We are not allowed to go to Hogsmeade.” You interrupted him and didn’t give a chance to continue. “Why don’t you do something useful? Studying, maybe.”

“Whoa, slow down. I’m the only one from the two of us who can come up with stupid ideas!” He let a small laugh, his hands up defensively. “But on the other hand… I really could study, maybe with you.” He winked and set closer to you even if it was possible to be more in your private space. You tried to don’t feel totally awkward and let a huge sigh.

“Listen. I know what you are doing now, the tactic that other girls like from you. But whatever magic you use on them, it definitely won’t work on me. So please just act normal instead of playing around and being a complete ass.”

Before Sirius could say anything, you quickly added with a smile: “I don’t mind your company or help you at all, only if you are yourself.”

It was true, you were really glad you wasn’t alone and didn’t have to spend the time by yourself. After that conversation, during the whole winter break you were inseparable and always together all days. He showed you secret places in the castle and you helped him write his essays that he didn’t want first but you managed to win him over. You visited the other’s room and sometimes you just stayed there. You got to know each other, talked and laughed on how horrible your families were. It was good to know you are not the only one who has such bad parents.

Sirius started to find Y/N more and more attractive. The way she laughed on his awful jokes, her beautiful smile amazed him. She had a very good sense of humor, always teased him about every little things when she could. And when Sirius took revenge, she didn’t get angry as every girl whom he tried to be funny; she laughed and said back something sarcastic. His “Christmas present” was a hug and a cheek kiss from her, and even if she apologized for couldn’t make something bigger, Sirius was completely overjoyed. He brought her breakfast on Christmas morning in her bed after he learnt during one of their conversations that Y/N always wanted to try if it was really comfortable to eat in bed. He asked the house elves to bake chocolate muffins for her since it was Y/N favorite dessert, and because of it, Sirius had got two cheek kisses on that day. Y/N’s soft lips made him feel like a virgin little boy who didn’t even get any kiss before and he wanted so much more than just two. Sirius didn’t tell her this of course because she made it clear at the beginning that she doesn’t want anything from him.

But Sirius couldn’t help but started to fall for Y/N, even if he didn’t recognize his feelings for awhile.

So you want to talk to spirits?

Here are my suggestions and ways of going about doing so!

Talking with spirits is a clairaudient a way of learning to hear them through your mind. It is something learned, not something that just happens (unless their is a brain imbalance or you have a serious spiritual awakening). It takes months to practice, and it’s safe to give it time to develop like any human skill.

It’s important to understand that you’re human and vulnerable to spiritual harm. I advise reading this and practicing at least one of them before any communication with a new or unfamiliar spirit. You should also master these techniques first and learn about chakra healing before trying to talk with spirits. Know yourself as a spiritual being first.

Step One: Clear Your Mind

  1. Find a quiet place, where you won’t be interrupted. Silence your phone, unplug, lie or sit down.
  2. Get comfortable. You want to minimize physical discomfort.
  3. Focus on your breathing or practice any other techniques to clear your mind. This is the first step to any meditation.
  4. Some ways of clearing your mind are to focus on breathing (the sensation, including the chest, throat, mouth, sound, etc); and to observe your thoughts and swipe them away, like clearing a tablet screen, chalkboard, etc (keep doing this until it’s a blank space).
  5. Don’t worry if some thoughts filter in. Just breathe or swipe them out. We’re human, we think. Thinking won’t ruin your chances of hearing a spirit.

Step Two: Contact the Spirit

  1. Ask politely something like this (modify if needed): “[Spirit’s name], I wish to be blessed with your presence, if it is in my best and highest interest. I have cleared my mind for us to communicate and I will wait here for your response.”
  2. Wait. Just keep breathing and don’t seek anything. When you hear a spirit, you’ll be surprised at the “volume” of the thought. It will just sort of hit you, or you know something was said that you didn’t think. You don’t need to seek their voice, just stay still and internally present.
  3. Be confident! You can hear and you probably are just waiting for the spirit. It’s a good idea to ask a couple, or to address your guardian. Then you’re more likely to get a response.
  4. Once getting a response, ask if they are [spirit’s name]. You want to make sure you’re talking to the right person! It’s also a safe thing to say “if you are not _____, please leave, unless they directly instructed you to communicate with me and you are here in my best and highest interest.”

Considerations and Tips:

  • Not all spirits will respond. The higher up the spirit, the busier they are. It’s really dependent on why you are communicating and who you were in a past life.
  • Some spirits are sassy as hell. Brace yourself.
  • Sometimes the spirits won’t leave, and they can be distracting in your day (but you can shut off your hearing just by intending to).
  • Some spirits like new friends. Prepare yourself for a relationship in case the spirit is seeking to know you. They have feelings too!
  • Don’t forget to be cautious before contacting every new spirit. Better safe than sorry!
  • Trust yourself. If you’re meant to hear, you will. If not, try again tomorrow.
  • You probably won’t hear a distinct voice for every spirit. Some people do, but most just intuitively know who they’re talking to. Spirits have the same “voice” as your own thoughts a lot of the time.

Feel free to ask me any questions on my blog! Here is also a list of all the spirits I know.

How I get rid of headaches

When I was a kid, I used to get bad headaches, I guess the precursor to my migraines that I started getting as an adult. As a kid, I developed this way of getting rid of them.

What I would do is find a quiet place to sit/lay down. Then I would close my eyes and visualize my pain as something filling my head. Usually water, a ball of string, or even blocks, almost always red for some reason.

Once I had my pain visualized, I would imagine getting rid of it. If it was water, there was a faucet at the back of my head, slowly letting out the water. If it was a ball of string, it was slowly unraveling out the top of my head. For the blocks, it was being taken apart block by block. Until the pain was gone. It almost always worked.

For worse headaches/migraines: Now that I get the occasional migraine, I still do this, but in conjunction with ice packs, rest and pain killers.
