Title: there’s this girl Fandom: miraculous ladybug Rating: K+ Characters: Ladybug (Marinette), Queen Bee (Chloe) Summary: Queen Bee has a secret. It’s not what Ladybug thinks.
“So there’s this girl.”
Ladybug cocked her head and stared at her friend with wide
eyes, mouth falling open to say something, but the look on Queen Bee’s face
stopped her in her tracks. Bottom lip caught between her teeth, gaze heavy on
her hands clasped tightly in her lips, she looked hesitant and unsure, lacking
the confidence and charisma that usually oozed from every pore. Ladybug didn’t
know how to respond. It wasn’t every day that Queen Bee chose to open up to her
or any of the other heroes of Paris; she held her secrets and identity tighter
than any of them did.
“For my father,” she’d say when asked why and rarely said
more. Ladybug wasn’t arguing—she did the same thing—but it was different to
have someone so similar working beside her. While she enjoyed Volpina’s
presence, and Chat Noir was her partner, Queen Bee was something entirely new
and unexpected, but not unwanted. Ladybug had spent so long explaining why
secret identities were important, and while everyone had accepted that long
ago, Queen Bee was the only person who seemed to understood why.
“So there’s this girl,” Queen Bee had said, completely
out-of-the-blue and sending Ladybug’s thoughts into a whirlwind, unprompted on
an early Saturday after an akuma battle under the silver sunrise of the Paris
morning. “And I don’t know what to do.”
Prompt: Inspired by Dodie Clark’s song of the same title, which you can listen to here
Word Count: 1,642
A/N: I just really love Dodie’s music and this song is adorable and you should all go check out her YouTube channel/EP’s for some great music.
Also, this gif doesn’t really fit the story at all, but it’s the only good one I could find with Peter in the same outfit as he’s in in this imagine. So yeah.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
You gazed idly out of the airplane window at the dazzling skyline below. There were tall skyscrapers surrounded by calm waters that reflected the blue in the sky. You took a deep breath. This was it. Goodbye long beaches of Los Angeles, California, hello busy streets of Queens, New York. You didn’t like the idea of moving away from the only place you had called home, but you understood that this move was for the better. Your parents’ business had just partnered with the infamous Stark Industries, and moving to Queens just made everything a lot less stressful on your mom and dad. Nevertheless, the journey to NYC was a difficult one for you. Saying goodbye to all your friends was the toughest part. You weren’t necessarily the “popular” kid in school (you were more of the geeky, yet kind of cool one), but you still had some great friends that you hated to leave behind.
A little raven was the savior to their alliance- Donned in black ruffles and charcoal bows, rushing upon unsteady legs, the four-year-old made her presence quite known as she stumbled to the king’s feet. Even at such a tender age, one would be remiss to not sight the similarities between the two. Their hair was the color of spilled ink, their eyes a pale blue, their smiles like blades- dual edged and cutting.
“Alysanne.” The king spoke her name with such affection that it was difficult to catch any semblance of a scolding. He had carefully plucked her from
The ground, placing her at his knee. From there, all could see the matching curve of their lips- unsettling though it may have been.
Summary: Peter and you have had feelings for each other for a long time, but neither of you know you both feel the same way. You have no idea he’s Spider-Man. One night while out being the masked hero, Peter sees you coming back from the gym and someone following you. He immediately comes to your aid and you notice something way to familiar about the man behind the mask.
SPIDER_MAN X READER (female)
Peter swung overhead the suburb of Queens, looking for any sign of danger. It was a calm night in Queens, which was pretty unusual considering it was New York. Yet, he could feel something within him, though he couldn’t tell what it was, telling him that there was something bad happening, but try as hard as he could, he couldn’t seem to find anyone in harms way. So he shot his webbing towards the highest building around and waited. The cool fall air whipped around him as he threw himself higher and higher into the sky, finally coming to rest on the Queens water tower.
You walked down the street, your y/h/c hair tied into a high ponytail, your gym bag flung over your shoulder and one headphone in your ear. It was a chilly night and you pulled the navy Midtown Science Academy sweatshirt closer to you. Peter has let you borrow it a few days ago and you hadn’t wanted to give it back just yet. The farther you walked along, the fewer people you saw and you started to get a little freaked out. You really had to stop working out so late at night. It was nearly ten pm and here you were walking through New York alone. But you didn’t know that you weren’t alone at all.
Pulling your phone from your pocket, you figure you might as well try to text Peter, to see if you were still up for your study session tomorrow. You had another reason for wanting to see him tomorrow but he didn’t need to know that yet. Maybe he never needed to know. It could ruin the friendship…Still, you smiled slightly as your fingers scrolled down finding your chat thread and you felt your heart speed up a bit.
Hey Pete, we still getting together after school tomorrow?
Delivered 10:05 PM
Usually, Peter was quick to reply and you could see the three little dots appear in the corner of your screen immediately if you messaged him, making your heart flutter with excitement, but no such luck came today.
Peter heard his phone ring from deep in his suit and Karen pulled up a display on the screen, showing him your text message. He smiled, his heart speeding up with the reminder that he would see you tomorrow, but then his senses detected movement nearby and he said, “I’ll text her back later, Karen. What’s going on down there?”
Your heart sank when Peter didn’t reply. He must already be asleep. You shrugged, trying your best to ignore the disappointment filling you, tucking your phone into your bag and that’s when you saw the shadow. You turned around slightly and saw a large man walking behind you, far enough to not see his face, but close enough to know, you were being followed by him.
Peter sat high above the city, his eyes searching for something, anything and then Karen, his suit lady spoke into his ear. “Over there,” she stated, zooming in on a scene only two streets away. There was a girl with y/h/c in workout clothing, a black bag slung over her shoulder and large man following her. And she was oblivious. As the picture cleared, he saw his school sweatshirt on her and felt his heart sink. It was y/n.
“No…” he said quietly, standing again from his crouched position and he took off towards you. “Karen, activate Enhanced Reconnaissance Mode,” he said desperately as he landed on a building in the shadows close by.
“Stay away from me,” you say loudly.
“Ahh, I’m not gonna hurt ya,” the guy says stepping toward her, Peter growing angrier and angrier every second as he backs you into the wall. He needed just a few more steps, one slightly aggressive move….
And then he made it. With y/n backed against a wall as the man approached, she knew she had no where else to go, and so did he. He lunged towards her and Peter made his move.
“Hey! I believe the lady said stay away!” He yelled out as he landed between you and the man, his web shooters aimed and shooting right out to to the mans out stretched hands and webbed them together. Behind him, Peter heard you scream and you turned your head. “It’s okay!” He shot another web, successfully pinning your attempted assailant to the lamp post near by.
He walked up to you, his head tilted to the side slightly and the wind whipped around you two, ruffling your hair and sending a wonderful pine scent around you. “Are you okay?” He asked you, gently placing a hand on your shoulder. That’s when you noticed your mouth hanging open and you quickly snapped it shut, your cheeks flushing red. You wanted to respond but your brain was working in over drive and then- it clicked.
You stared at him, your eyes wide for two reasons. One, Spider-Man was currently standing in front of you, clearly worried about you, his warm, gloved hand resting on your shoulder and two- you knew who the voice behind the mask belonged to.
