It was too bad that this precocious boutique does not allow photography inside the store. As much as the decor and goods can fool you into thinking this is just another fancy pastry shop, Q Pot is in fact a jewelry store. All the pendants and earrings and rings and keychains are all dangling with life-like replica of delectable pastries. I seriously want one of their bejeweled macaron phone straps!
Since I was already on a bender for all things cute, I splurge on a ruffled black velvet capelet from Betsey Johnson. Yes, there is a Betsey store in Toronto so why bother getting this all the way in Hawaii? Well, they are now running a 20% off promotion if you sign up to their mailing list. Between the discount and a relatively low sales tax, the capelet was a decent deal. This is the kind of really useful accessory for many evening attires and I always scramble around to look for appropriately fancy things to cover my shoulders for my party get-ups. This capelet totally works with my style so I snapped it up without hesitation. I already know that I’ll get plenty of use for years to come.
