My Polaroid Journey #3 - The Frog Tongue
While I love this the design of this folding camera and all the effort the Impossible project has put into reproducing these films from practically scratch I’ve found that I was putting more effort into shielding the ejected photo than the composition. My friend purchased a Polaroid 600 Box Type fitted with a frog tongue and Impossible Project sticker from our Uni shop as it was probably a model that had been tested then redistributed. When I purchased the SX-70 from ebay, I looked around but there was no such thing until recently. As soon as I saw it I bundled it in my shopping basket with the Flashcubes and now I feel like I have a certain type of freedom. It’s as if I was rowing in a Cox-less boat and now I don’t need to worry about where I’m going just the technique. I’ve only shot 1 pack of film but I’d say it’s essential with the current state of Impossible project films. The only negative is that when collapsed the front of the camera is slightly open but only by a couple of millimetres.
