put off your old self

Christian/Catholic Witch Spell for Breaking Bad Habits

Commissioned Spell

Needed:

  • Mother Mary Candle
  • Black Candle
  • Myrrh incense
  • Frankincense oil

Instructions:

Anoint yourself with the Frankincense oil and anoint the black candle as well.

Light the Mother Mary candle and say:

Mother Mary, aid me and pray for me as I complete this ritual

Pray the Hail Mary 3 times.

Light the incense and say:

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: bless this incense with the power to overcome my habits

Pray the Glory Be 3 times

Light the anointed black candle and say:

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: bless this candle with the power to overcome my habits

Pray the Our Father 3 times

Meditate on the flame of the black candle and visualize what habits you wish to banish.

Banish them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Recite the following verse from the bible:

Ephesians 4:22-24

To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

Let the black candle and incense burn down.  Continue to meditate on what you wish to banish.  When the candle and incense are done burning, say the following bible verse out loud:

Psalm 101: 1-3

I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

End with a prayer or pray the rosary if you wish.  Thank God and Mother Mary for aiding you in your ritual.

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22‭-‬24)

Something that I’ve noticed recently is that God rarely calls us to be neutral in our actions, thoughts, or feelings.

God doesn’t just call us to put off the old, but He calls us to put on the new. In Deuteronomy 31:6, God doesn’t just call us to not fear - He calls us to take the extra step, and to be strong and courageous. In Ephesians 4:28, God doesn’t just call us to stop stealing - He calls us to start giving.
God takes us, and calls us to not just stop our bad habits, and our sins. He takes it a step further. He calls us to bless, rather than to just stop cursing. This is huge. God doesn’t call us to just stop causing harm or bringing darkness into this world. God doesn’t call us to just quit our bad habits. He doesn’t just call us out of the bad, out of the sin - He calls us into the good. God doesn’t just call us out of the dark, He calls us into the light. Being a Christian is about a radical and complete turn around. Not just a 90 degree turn. Not to just stop walking in the direction that you’re walking. God calls us to do a complete 180, and walk alongside Him and what He is doing to bring His kingdom here. This is convicting and this is powerful. Evaluate your own life. Are you just being a Christian who makes sure that they don’t do bad, or are you taking it a step further and doing good?
