purple & turquoise

Hi my room is really small I've got this double bed that's childish and big with purple and turquoise walls any ideas on how to make it more beachie and teenage

Hey!

First of all: a double bed doesn’t sound too childish? Think about how you could change this: maybe it’s just the pillows/bedsheets? Otherwise if the actual colour of the bed is pink or something, maybe you can sandpaper and paint it white?

For the walls you should definitely try and paint them either white, or a neutral beige/grey colour. For a more beachie you could try and get some beach house wallpaper? Maybe like this? If you’re not allowed to paint/put up wallpaper, you could always use sticky plastic (available at most arts&crafts shops, or look around online).
The most important thing for a ‘matureder’ room is definitely to stick to neutral and light colours: whites/grays. Once you have basics like furniture/ walls etc looking good (I used you have pink cupboards so when they got changed to white it really made a difference!) you can start decorating with fairy lights, paintings, candles etc, look around for pictures as inspiration: lots of plants always looks good. Good luck! x

Monday 8:27am
I woke up with you on my mind.
You called me babe last night —
my heart is still pounding.

Tuesday 10:53pm
Today I realized we won’t work.
What we are is hurting her.
And I think she matters more to me than you do.

Wednesday 11:52pm
I broke things off with you today.
She barely said a word.
I’ve never regretted anything more than this.

Thursday 4:03pm
I shouldn’t have sent that message.
You shouldn’t have been so okay with receiving it.

Friday 9:57pm
I almost messaged you today.
I didn’t.

Saturday 8:49pm
I’m walking around town in search of alcohol.
They say that liquor numbs the pain of having a broken heart.
I want to put that to the test.

Sunday 2:32am
I heard you texted a girl you’ve never spoken to before.
I wonder if it’s because you’re trying to replace me.
I can’t help but wish you weren’t.
I thought I was irreplaceable.
