In this workshop we look at how to ‘finish’ a hand knitted garment. We look at seaming, picking up stitches, beautiful buttonholes, perfectly finished shoulders, pressing and blocking, setting in sleeves and more. At the end of this workshop you should have the skills and confidence you ned to finish your own hand knits - and to a high standard.
At the end of the workshop I’ll also share some tips on how to give your hand knitted garments some fabulous final touches to give them that handmade but not homemade look.
Level: Participants should know and be comfortable working basic knitting and crochet skills. Sunday 15th April 11am-4pm
Understanding and working from a knitting pattern
In this workshop we will familiarise ourselves with knitting patterns and how they are written. We will look at what they tell us about what yarn to use, what size to do and what fit you should get. We will go on to look at terminology, the pattern itself and look at both written and charted instructions.
This workshop should give you the confidence to tackle using knitting patterns and understand what makes a good pattern when considering purchasing a pattern. Sunday 6th May 11 am- 4pm
*SPECIAL SPRING OFFER* - book on both workshops and pay only £70email:email@example.com
