Contents:

1. Floral facial steam: Leaves your face feeling fresh AF, smelling good. (Protection, love, centering and psychic power)

2. Rose & chamomile bath bags: Relaxing AF, smells good, SUPER CLENSING. (Protection, centering and meditation)

3. Clay and Lavender face mask: We all know clay is dope for our skin, and lavender can never go wrong. (Peace, protection, love, purification)

4. Peppermint foot scrub: Leaves your feet feeling and smelling FIIIINEEE. (Travel, money, healing, luck, strength)

LETS GET STARTED

1. Floral facial steam

YOU WILL NEED (The ingredients below are per 6 treatments so multiply it for as many treatments as you’d like):

-3 100ml jars

-2/3 cup of lavender buds, dried

-1/3 cup of rose petals, dried

-2/3 cup chamomile flowers, dried

METHOD:

Mix up the herbs ad divide them into each jar (roughly half a cup each)

HOW TO USE:

• Remove make up or dirt by using a gentle cleanser
• Place herbs in a heatproof bowl (use 4 tablespoons herbs per treatment – each jar is enough for 2 treatments)
• Pour one pint of boiling water into a heat proof bowl (USE MOON WATER FOR EXTRA BENEFITS)
• Place bowl on a sturdy surface (like a table) and lower face over the bowl (it’s usually best to sit in a chair that is pulled up close to a table)
• Place a towel over your head to create a tent over the bowl (the towel helps the steam stay close to the face and not evaporate into the air so quickly)
• Stay here for about 15 to 20 minutes- while you are here start by centring yourself, and then think about your intent and what you wish for the herb to bring to you, imagine the steam cleansing away any negativity.

BOOOM YOU ARE NOW CLEANSED AF AND SMELLING CUTEEEE.

2. Rose & chamomile bath bags

YOU WILL NEED (The ingredients below are per 3 treatments so multiply it for as many treatments as you’d like):

-3 Muslin bags

-¾ cup dried rose petals

-¾ cup dried chamomile flowers

-1 ½ cup epsom salts

METHOD:
Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Place 1 cup of mixture in each muslin bag. Tie the top of each bag to close tightly.

HOW TO USE:

To use bath tea bag, tie bag to faucet so the water runs through it as the bath fills. Once the bath is full of warm water, remove the bag from the faucet and let it float in the bath. Soak for at least 15 minutes - while doing so, remember to relax, centre yourself, remember your intent and what you wish to get out of this treatment and imagine the salts and hot water clensing away any negative energy.

BOOOOM NOW U R CLENSED AF AND SMELLIN FRESH

3. Clay and Lavender face mask

YOU WILL NEED (once again makes 3 , adjust to your liking):

-3 100 ml jars

-½ cup lavender flower powder

-1 1/8 cup white cosmetic clay

METHOD:

Mix up and divide into jars, roughly half a cup per jar.

HOW TO USE:

At time of use, mix 1 tablespoon of lavender-clay mix with 2-3 teaspoons of water, cooled chamomile tea, or hydrosol, until a paste forms. Spread over the face, avoiding the eyes. Leave for 15 minutes. This mask draws out toxins and negative energy so make sure to visualise the clay mask absorbing the negative energy for maximum effect, meanwhile, pour your intent into this procedure and absorb the lavender and mother earth’s clay into your system. Wash off with warm water and a wash cloth.

BOOOM yo face is untoxic AF super clensed, and smelling damn fineeee.

4. Peppermint foot scrub

What you need (MAKES 3):

-3 250-300(ish)ml jars

-1/3 cup fine sea salt or epsom salt

-¾ cup oil (grapeseed, sweet almond or olive)

-Few drops peppermint essential oil

-¼ cup dried peppermint leaves

METHOD:

Mix ingredients in bowl, divide into jars, roughly 1 cup per jar.

HOW TO USE:

Rub into damp foot in circular motions. Our feet pick up alot of negative energy, and are important because they take us places in the physical world, make sure to focus on your intent and drawing out the negative energy.

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT! YOU SMELL FRESH FROM HEAD TO TOE, CLENSED THOROUGHLY, EVERY PART OF YOUR BODY, LOVED!

Happy witching

Simple Purification and Protection Scrub

You need to purify, but you’re short on time. You need it to be quick, but just as effective as a ritual bath. Look no further than our Purification and Protection Scrub.

Materials:

  • sea salt
  • coconut oil
  • essential oil of lavender
  • lemon rinds

Combine the salt mixture and coconut oil in a 2-to-1 ratio and stir. The salt should stick to itself without excess oil pooling at the bottom of the container. Then sprinkle in some fresh lemon rinds and add in one drop of lavender essential oil.

Sea salt, coconut oil, and lavender purify and protect; lemon is a strong purifying and cleansing ingredient.

In the shower, first massage the scrub over the skin in a counterclockwise motion while visualizing the coconut oil drawing negative energies from the body and the sea salt sloughing them away. Then, massage the scrub in a clockwise motion while visualizing the coconut oil and lavender forming a protective barrier on the skin.

Note: Because salt can often be irritating on the skin, we do not recommend using this scrub on the face and should be limited to body use only.

Do you have a master post about cleansing methods?

I hadn’t made one yet, not like the rest of my lists on my page or the ones floating around in posts, but I can throw one together here super quick. It won’t be, like, every cleansing post I can find after hours of searching, but it should be adequate enough.

Cleansing and Purification Masterpost
(For your space, yourself, and other objects)

You can find an old version of this list (which might have broken links) over at @thesigilwitch, [here].

Some simple methods of cleansing:

  • lighting a candle and letting the light / fire cleanse the space
  • lighting a cleansing incense (like sandalwood)
  • opening a window and letting the wind sweep in and clear out any negative junk
  • ring a bell or hang wind chimes to encourage positivity / happiness and dispel negativity
  • you can make a simple cleansing spray with warm water, sea salt, and rosemary, but the salt may leave a bit of a residue on some surfaces
  • enchant a cleaning product so that as you clean your room you are also cleansing it
    • additionally, add a bit of vinegar or lemon juice to cleaning products and then enchant them for a further boost

My library computer time ran out doing this list - it took me almost an hour. I’m still not done, but I hope it’s adequate… for now. :p

Autumn Purification Scrub

Because Samhain is approaching and with it comes the Wiccan new year for many, now is the perfect time for physical and spiritual cleansing. This spell recipe is tailored to fall-themed ingredients to really get you in the magical October mood.

You will need:
- salt for cleansing yourself of negative energy
- sugar for attracting sweet things
- cinnamon for health, success, love and power
- ground up pinecone (find one, wash it, grind w/ mortar and pestle) for grounding and new beginnings
- orange zest cleansing, purification and luck
- olive or coconut oil to soften the mixture

Combine the ingredients. I tend to do mostly salt and oil, with smaller proportions of the other ingredients. Store in a glass jar. For added power, moon charge it. Use in a bath or shower. Rub counterclockwise over your body while visualizing the baggage of the past few months rubbing off of you and rinsing away. Rub clockwise and picture the positive new things you’d like to draw into your life. Make sure you are gentle especially if you have dry skin because the mixture can be quite abrasive.

hi! i was wondering if you had any spells for personal cleansing? i read a spell that was just sea salt as a body scrub in the shower but i'm looking for something that might be more powerful. thanks!

Okay, I’ll link what I can find that’s for self cleansing!

Witch Tip

Want to dry out flower petals to make powder of them but have no time? Putting large petals in the oven at 4:50 for 4 minutes completely dehydrates them and turns them black. They also smell awful. But they’re suddenly a lot easier to store when you grind them up with a mortar and pestle! I like to put them in with some chunky pink Himalayan salt bc the rocks help to break down the powder and it’s v exfoliating in the shower. Remember to be careful of putting foreign substances in open wounds. You could use it for self love! ❤️! I may make soap with the my red rose petals and pink Himalayan salt in it.
Other fun combos
-Sea salt and white rose petals for purification - good for scrubbing away the feeling of a shitty day/encounter w someone/etc and purifying yourself
-Coffee beans and orange rose petals for a glamor to make others more compelled to do what you want
-Large grain sugar and pink rose petals for fighting sour moods and anxieties - not a replacement for medication and/or therapy
-Cinnamon (sticks) and yellow lilies for some good lovin - careful!!! Lilies are very toxic to cats. Cinnamon for desirability and yellow lilies for joy and desire of pleasure
-Cloves and tiger lilies for confidence, pride, and protection

Purification of the Home

Mundane cleaning is rarely my idea of a good time. But the purification of the home spiritually can be tied into the mundane purification of the home- that is, cleaning!

The last week has been very hectic and exhausting, and a lot of our kitchen cleaning has been simply what I call ‘sustinence cleaning’- that is, just clean enough to survive!

Like everyone, we get behind. We’re big fans of the UFYH Tumblr, and we’re never quite caught up, since we both work from home and also have small children.

Today, we got into the nooks and crannies, but we didn’t just clean, we cleaned with -intent-. The above pictures are our sink, before and after a thorough scrub with our Purification Scrub.  There was very little elbow grease put into it- and no scrubby pads. A sponge and the scrub, a little water, and a little rubbing, and magic!

Cleaning has a long history of being a good way to magically sweep and clean away negativity out of your home. As I sweep through the house and shop, I chant to myself (out loud or in my mind) “All negativity begone, swept away, leaving behind only blessings and harmony.” As I mop or scrub my floors, I visualize myself washing away the residues of fights and arguments and squabbles. As I disinfect, I visualize health and safety- and of course, as I wash doors and windows, I put up protective barriers, usually by sigils drawn onto the glass in cleaner and ‘rubbed in’ as I wash.

When you need to clean, it can lift your spirits to clean and know you’re purifying not just your house, but your home and all the energies within!
