pulp crime

Nobody ever robs restaurants. Bars, liquor stores, gas stations… you get your head blown off sticking up one of them. Restaurants on the other hand, you catch with their pants down. They’re not expecting to get robbed. Not as expectant anyway.

Pulp Fiction (1994) Dir. Quentin Tarantino

1927 … vroom! by James Vaughan

Between 1957 and 1959 Melvin Rees, a talented meth addicted jazz musician murdered 5 victims. He would overtake them while they were driving in the country, forcing them off the road by flashing the lights of his green-colored police car-like vehicle.

In Virginia he overtook a family travelling with their five year old daughter and eighteen-month infant girl.
He tossed the infant into a ditch, and shot the father dead, throwing his body on top of the infant which suffocated to death beneath the weight of the father´s corpse. The mother and the five year-old girl he led away into the woods where he tortured, raped and murdered them both.

Melvin had a huge collection of violent pulp and porn images along with morgue photographs of dead females

Nice little Easter egg found inside Sci Fi Now magazine’s IANASK coverage. The Midnight Marauder poster picked as the WINNER of the: ‘Best Of The Billboards - celebrating the best, worst and weirdest posters out there.’

“It’s the pulp crime fiction book cover of our dreams, only in film poster form.”
