THE COOL CABBIE LEATHERETTE + PUHLITOV
The Cabbie style was popular in Europe and the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries among both boys and adult men. As the name suggests, it is now associated with newspaper boys. This gives rise to a misunderstanding. It is true that many newspaper boys and other working boys wore flat caps along with other styles. This style was not, however, worn only by boys. Flat caps were very common for American and European men and boys of all classes during the early 20th century and were almost universal during the 1910s-20s, particularly among the working ‘lower’ classes. Photographs of the period show these caps worn not only by newsboys, but by dockworkers, high steel workers, shipwrights, farmers, beggars, costermongers, criminals, artisans, and tradesmen of many types. While they were worn by boys and men of all social classes, they were worn by the 'upper’ classes primarily for leisure activities, and the style became associated with well-to-do country sportsmen, drivers and wealthy golfers.

Cyber harrassment from #CELEBBOUTIQUE
Enough is enough. This week, via email and social media I’ve been harassed by #Celebboutique for copyright infringement on a series of bandage dresses featured on my online store. It seems that this company and I shop from the same wholesaler but they choose to sell their garments at an unreasonable mark up (3-5x the cost of the garment). I advised that I had never heard of their online store, beyond them sending me their line sheet in the cease and desist letter. I even offered to supply them with my IP address so they can check their web analytics to confirm I’ve never visited their website. NO RESPONSE.

Ladies you can shop where you’d like but in the end Herve Leger originated the design of the bandage dress, now variations of this dress style is knocked off in plenty of factories in China. You can search EBAY or Rosewholesale.com to get the same look for $49.99 not $200+ that #Celebboutique is charging their customers. I’ve worked in Fashion since 2001, and I understand copyright infringement. This is not the case and Celebboutique you may not dictate the online boutique marketplace, because you choose to price gauge.

The problem I do have is that Shopify, Instagram, and even Facebook will initially side with the party who registers the complaint first. I believe this is unfair reporting but I digress its the easiest way for them not to get involved.

My offer to any woman that reads this, if you see something on their site and You like it. I WILL PERSONALLY give you the link and do the research myself to advise you on how to purchase it cheaper. These FUCKTARDS have tapped the till of the wrong Fashionista.
