Puerto Rican artists represent the crisis and the recent signing of PROMESA by editing the famous flag at Calle San José. PROMESA -a law that will name a Financial Overboard to address Puerto Rico’s economical crisis- has been ill-received, since it makes palpable Puerto Rico’s colonial status. One of the most drastic resolutions is to lower the minimum wage, of people under 25, to $4.25. Many Puerto Ricans feel economically and politically powerless in front of a local and corrupt government and and the Congress, who constantly negates the voices in the Island. We already have an educational crisis, with the closing of schools and the absence of educational centers.
