Sou Fujimoto’s Serpentine Pavilion 13’

An investigation into how Fujimoto’s structure responds to its immediate environment. I looked to capture several key aspects of this response;

Density, and how each ‘strand’ of cloud felt when overlayed or set against its own structural body.

Context, and how the pavilion appeared to fit and merge into its surroundings, whether it be the sky, foliage or concrete floor.

Interaction with its client and audience. A pattern of perplexion, curiosity, exploration and ulitmate joy ensued.

Notes: Shadow, movement, layering.
