psychotic's problems

Want to see some symbolism?

Eurus is The Final Problem. Literally. She is the embodiment of the entire episode. She is “burning the heart out of Sherlock”. We, the viewers who observe, are Sherlock. Mark Gatiss is Mycroft, obviously.

Mark had a trick up his sleeve. He’s kept it hidden in a remote place for a very long time. He kept it behind glass – behind elephant glass – and we had no idea it was there. Almost a secret twin. Almost.

This trick is The Final Problem. A trick so clever it had to be hidden. A trick that sees no emotion, but only registers the end result. This is why Eurus only cares about “The ends justifying the means”.

“You look unsure. You’re not used to feeling unsure.”

She says this to Sherlock, but that’s really meant for the audience. Everything we know about Sherlock Holmes and everything we expected to see is devoured by Eurus. The Final Problem made us unsure.

She attacks Sherlock because she wants to hurt him. The glass is gone and the secret is unleashed. The Final Problem has started.

Next, Sherlock and Mycroft are locked in a room. Eurus conducts “human experimentation” and Sherlock experiences it, “like a lab rat”. So. The Final Problem is locking us up with Mark Gatiss, who gave us the lid to the “I love you” John-sized coffin. We throw a tantrum because this whole thing is ridiculous and unnecessary. But we have to be soldiers. Mark spews venomous words and we turn the gun on him. “Every cause has martyrs. Every war has suicide missions, and make no mistake, this is war.”

Mycroft/Mark later gets reamed for not being good enough, for screwing everything all up.

The only way for the viewer to make peace with The Final Problem is to see it through to the ending, to give it the care it needs. This is a huge risk, all of the eggs are in this basket – The Final Problem, though psychotic and harmful, needs the audience to be patient and attentive, if it is to land the plane. We know it’s never the fall that kills you – it’s the landing.

The Final Problem knows how to play the game. It’s taught the audience how to play. It was a gift. Just like Sherlock’s violin.

When Eurus plays alone, she can’t tell if it’s beautiful, only if it’s right.

Because she’s meant to play a duet.

They said I was born sick. A sad case enmeshed in predispositions, genetically characterized as catastrophe. A history with no hope of re-wiring, a lost cause of CBT ambitiously trying to repair endless malfunctions. Years of modified dysfunctional thinking and behaviors but still a susceptible disaster. A well developed dysfunctional organism with several comorbidities. They said I was born sick, no use in repairing the broken.

tfw childhood trauma made you crazy but after leaving the abusive family you accidentally surrounded yourself with more terrible people so you got even worse and now youre severely manic and it’s visible

She looked totally psychotic. A serious identity problem. Very afraid to be herself. Bet if you try pulling one of the layers she'll fall apart. There wasn't ever going to be anything between them other than what it was.

Well let’s hope she gets help, that is something she has to do on her own.

thank you anon

{ credit to brosciles for the gif that has decided to betray me and not actually move but okay }

okay, guys. i need to get everything off my chest.

steo could turn into one out of these two things:
1) stiles’ personality pushing theo to actually become a better person.
2) theo yanking the psychopath out of stiles to drag him to the dark side.

or steo could remain a bickering and bantering pair that seems all too much like sterek.

god, theo is such a psychotic dick with so much psychotic problems. but im also so much steo trash it’s not even a joke.

with derek gone, i crave stiles gay loving. hence the reason i still ship these two like no tomorrow.

despite the fact that the way this is going would actually be theo turning stiles crazy again. this is what i want to happen:

theo’s original intentions are to turn stiles into a bad guy like himself. but then he ends up falling for stiles and his personality. he ends up loving all his flaws and how irritating he is. how stiles gets under his skin. he loves it all. and he finds himself falling for stiles. not being able to stop himself before it’s too late to. it already is. that’s when the guilt starts to settle in. he knows what the dread doctors are planning. he knows that stiles and his friends are going to get hurt. and it’s all partially his fault. and he cant do anything to save them now that all the cards have been set. so now he has to watch the life of the one person he’s ever come close to loving crumble apart.

AND IF JEFF DOES IT LIKE THAT I WILL LOVE HIM FOREVER I SWEAR WTFFFFF

AND I KNOW HE DID THIS ON PURPOSE HE HAD TO PUSH THIS IN TO GET OUR MINDS OFF STEREK FOR A WHILE
