We as Christian think that when we accept Christ, transformation happens overnight. But many a times, we stumble, fall, make mistakes and mess up and the enemy is right there to torment us with guilt saying, “Are you even a Christian? How could you do that?” You must realize when we are yielded to Christ, and we desire change, He slowly and painstakingly works in us, shaping us, scraping off all the rough edges in the furnace of affliction, pain and suffering. We are being transformed from glory to glory into His image..2 Cor 3:18 And one day we will be like Him. Hallelujah!
Jesus Christ- He’s the King of Kings and He is the Lord of Lords and yet humble enough to call me, friend. He spoke the world into existence but He took time to knit me in my mother’s womb. He is the Son of God, yet He is my Saviour, my Healer, my Deliverer. He holds the whole Universe in His hand but has carefully engraved me in the palm of His hand. He is before all things and in Him all things all held together. His love is unconditional, His grace is limitless. He is the well spring of wisdom yet He picks the foolish things of the world. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Do you know Him?
“The gospel is the news that a gateway to happiness stands open for the poor and lowly; that all one has to do is free oneself from the institutions, traditions, and guardianship of the upper class. To this extent the rise of Christianity is nothing more than the typical socialist doctrine.”
—F. Nietzsche, The Will to Power, §209 (edited excerpt).
Mark 8:31-38 (NKJV) And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. He spoke this word openly. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
