prom night (:

TEXTS FROM DARK AND ANTI: Part 45 (part 1?)

Okay clearly I deviated from the prompt a little bit, but I thought it’d be more fun to have present-day Dark and Anti pose as a teenage prom couple than do an AU where they’re already teenagers. I’ll probably do a part 2 to this where they’re actually at prom if people are interested.

EDIT: I just realized I posted the wrong anon prompt for this one, idk how this happened and I know for a fact I no longer have the actual prompt someone messaged me. It was basically Dark and Anti talking about prom (aka the high school AU nobody asked for :D) and I’m really sorry I fucked this up/don’t have the original prompt but the credit goes to the blogger who sent it to me.

Warnings: None

Word Count: 810

As I sat upon the chair with my hands folded tightly on my lap, I felt Alice’s delicate fingers gently yet quickly pin my braided hair into place, which -  thankfully - was the finishing touch. Though, in all seriousness, it shouldn’t even cross my mind to think of complaining when I recalled the haunting and spine-chilling stories of Alice’s past that Doctor Cullen had told me. It may sound childish, like something flimsy but I was truly saddened, even more so when I learned that she could hardly remember it.

So, the very least I could offer to make her happy was to agree that she’d doll me up for this evening’s event. Prom night. After all, she was remarkably talented at both of her hobbies: fashion and cosmetics.

“All finished!” She clapped excitedly. She urged me to my feet and led me to stand in front of the full-length mirror. I gasped in astonishment. Wow, I looked pretty, I thought to myself as Alice craned her neck over my shoulder with a huge smile. No, more than pretty, I resembled an ancient Greek Goddess.

“You know, not even in my daydreams have I managed to make myself look so…breathtaking.” I say, continuously gazing at myself. “Your hands work wonders, Alice.”

“I thought you might say so.” Alice replies, offering me a lopsided grin. “The dress is simple yet it looks so elegant on you.” And as she mentions it, I run my slender fingers through it’s burgundy-coloured, viscose fabric; styled like a long Greek chiton. I turn my gaze to Alice’s small features and grab a hold of her cold hands, “I really don’t know how to thank you for this.”

“Well, let’s begin with you heading to the prom, and in the meanwhile, I will think of something.”

“Oh, that’s right.” I reply breathlessly, almost forgetting the purpose of this dress. “Just a quick reminder though,” Alice lowered her voice, meaningfully, “if you ruin the dress, I will be very furious.”

Playfully, I roll my eyes and rush out her bedroom door, not before replying to her as I hear her cheerful laughter. “Yes, well, we wouldn’t want that now, would we?”

Nervously - because I didn’t know what Jasper’s reaction was going to be - and slowly - because I didn’t want to trip over my feet; I descended the stairs from Alice’s room and not for a moment had Jasper’s eyes left my own, as he waited for my arrival at the bottom.

His liquid golden orbs seemed to intensively hold my gaze in place after momentarily admiring me - or perhaps, it was what I had chosen to wear. In turn, my eyes roam up and down to how exceptionally handsome he looked.

Once I had made it to the bottom of the stairs, I couldn’t help myself but stare at his prominent facial features as if it were the first time we’d met. But in all truthfulness, it seemed as if though, he had gotten more beautiful by each moment that passed.

Thank goodness that I had paid attention in my history classes because the only right comparison I could find for him was to an ancient, glorious deity. Jasper must have sensed my wave of emotions as his eyes twinkled with mischief, and a smirk formed on his lips. “Jasper,” I greeted him, intertwining my hand in his.

“Hello, sugar,” he greeted in return, that sweet, pet name striking a chord within me, like a prayer.

“How much longer until the guests all arrive?” I question, trying to divert my thoughts of him away from the much more… burning desire. Too bad Edward was not here to read my thoughts and have Emmett embarrass me with his awful jokes, till I’d turn as red as a full-bloomed rose in early June.

“We’ve got plenty of time till then, sugar.” Jasper’s southern accent drawled, making it very difficult for me to think about anything else but him. He engulfed me under his strong arm and pulled me closer to him. His embrace was cool yet his arm seemed very protective when wrapped around me. The surrounding world around me fell away as I instantly place my arms around his torso, wanting the moment to last forever. Jasper’s touch was like soft, soothing notes, making me feel like a ballerina at a solo performance in Swan Lake.

Before we decided to head outdoors to join the rest of the Cullen family, Jasper whisked me back into him with a hold of my waist and swiftly pulled me into a passionate kiss. As I felt the graze of his cool lips against mine, my heart swelled contently. Jasper’s hand came from around my waist and rested below my ear, his thumb caressing my supple cheek, while I worked my own hands around his body, feeling each line along his perfect physique.

Boyf Riends: Prom Night

Prom was not going well so far. Michael’s P.T. Cruiser had broken down just hours earlier so two had to get a ride from Jeremy’s dad over to the dance. The whole time he was talking about his Prom, when they finally arrived both clamored out. It had been almost an hour now of standing around awkwardly with no one dancing. There wasn’t any food either, the caterer had cancelled last minute. At this point everyone was waiting around for the Prom King and Queen to be announced but even then people were already leaving.
“This night is not nearly as exciting as I thought it’d be.”
“It’s like middle school all over again but ten times worse.” As if to answer Michael Mr. Reyes got on stage.
“Alright everyone, quiet! All the ballots have been cast, this year’s prom King and Queen are…Jake Dillinger and Jenna Rolan.” Jake high fived Rich before he got on stage and Jenna excitedly ran on stage, taking the tiara. “…stupid children…alright, and now for the King and Queen'a dance!” The music started to play and the two were forced into the spotlight as the music started.
“We’ve been sitting here long enough, let’s dance.”
“Jer, I can’t dance. You know this.”
“Neither can I, let’s try anyway.” Michael reluctantly took Jeremy’s hand as they went out on to the floor and awkwardly danced with each other to the rythym. Jeremy grinned at Michael who had started to let loose. It took Jeremy a while to realize the song playing as I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston.
