“Smile, Y/N! “ Austin said as he held up his phone for ANOTHER picture. I spun quickly and made a cute face at the camera. He smiled like a little kid when he saw the finished product. I helped some kids with their merch as he posted it to instagram. I got the little notification on my phone.

“Oh, gosh, what did you say about me this time?” I groaned. Austin liked to put funny captions on our pictures together. Or just any picture of me really. “Wait, didn’t you just post one of us a few hours ago?”

“So what?” he replied with a happy shrug. “I love putting pictures up of our goofy times. You are my best friend, you know.”

“Oh, whatever.” I elbowed him playfully and giggled.

“Besides, the fans love it. I guess they ship us hardcore. We are apparently a few peoples’ OTPs, whatever that means,” he told me. I just laughed again. I really liked OM&M fans. They seemed to like back, so that was a good sign. Once I got a break, I went on my insta to see these pictures. He didn’t just post one or two, Austin posted SEVEN within the last few hours of us together. They all had captions like “love this girl!” and “Best ‘merch’ girl there could ever be <3″ and so on. I felt a blush rise to my cheeks and I stole a peek at Austin. He was talking to one of the other merch guys. I ran my eyes over his muscular arms, his lean body. I watched the way the wind ruffled his hair and how his eyes crinkled when he laughed and smiled.

“I didn’t know I was that pretty, dang,” I commented to him, folding some strewn shirts.

“Are you kidding?’ he replied. “You’re gorgeous all the time.” I felt myself blush some more. I couldn’t help but let a little grin get loose. I could practically hear Austin’s smirk before he went back to talking to the other guy.

I finished up for the day a few hours later and we got everything packed and ready to go to the next stop. As I climbed on the bus, I let a yawn escape me. I was exhausted. I felt my phone ding again and pulled it out to see yet another comment on Austin’s pictures as I plopped down. I scrolled through and read all the cute things the fans were saying about us.

“Think they’re right?” Austin’s voice asked from beside me. I felt the couch dip down as he sat next to me.

“About what?”

“About us making a cute couple,” he explained with a shy grin.

“I wouldn’t know, we aren’t a couple,” I teased, smiling at him.

“Well, we could always test the theory? I do have a tad bit of a thing for you, if you didn’t notice,” Austin told me with a tiny shrug. I loved that we could play around like this.

“Oh really?” I laughed, my eyebrows raised. “I hadn’t caught on by all the tons of fucking pictures of me you put all over your social media!” We both laughed and he draped his arm around my shoulders.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” he offered. I shook my head, letting another yawn out.

“I think I would rather just lay down and go to bed,” I told him honestly. Austin got up and outstretched his hand toward me. I took it cautiously and let him slowly pull me to my feet.

“Let’s go, beautiful,” he said, leading me to his bunk. “So does this mean we’re going to try this out?”

“Sure, why not,” I said softly, a smile forming on my lips. Austin’s grin could have split his face it was so huge. We climbed in and I let out a groan.

“What?”

“This means I have to deal with you like all the time,” I joked, making a face. Austin laughed.

“Oh, shut up.” He pulled the covers over us and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling my body to his. I snuggled into his chest happily. He was warm and cozy. His hand stroked my hair, lulling me into sleep along with his steady heartbeat. I felt his kiss the top of my head and I laid a hand on his chest, content in this moment.
