processing times

Just completed Lord of Shadows and feeling utterly shattered and bittersweet.

So many more amazing moments in this book. Happy and sad. The good and the bad. Reading a book from this series always feels like coming home. There’s not one character I can say I feel nothing for. Having some wonderful Malec moments both together and separately was the cherry on top.

I need some time to process before I can flail fully but if you’re finished too, COME TALK TO ME. I can’t believe the wait for the 3rd book begins again already.

@cassandraclare did it again.

(also yes, it’s color-coded, I’m not completely mental)

I’m pretty sure the UPS guy told me he missed me yesterday.

Understand: he’s here nearly every day.  Sometimes twice a day.  …I can’t remember if he wasn’t here yesterday, and I think not.  Maybe I wasn’t at my desk?  Was he saying he missed me? Understand: we talk very little, although he makes me laugh, because he moves so fast while here.

…should I come up with something clever to say tomorrow? Because he was gone by the time I processed what he’d said….

The same woman who did the press interviews for (that hidden remote I think) basically got to see 2x11 and will do a review over the weekend.

She said in a tweet “ Guys. I just finished 2x11. I need some time to process all of these feels. It’s good. Like, real good. 2B kicked it up. “ then added “ I’ll get a proper review up over the weekend, but I could watch these first 2 min on repeat for an hour. And I think you will be very happy. “

Zero-sum Gravida

The Pathfinder is with child. Though it grows, a tiny spec of cells multiplying inside her body, she does not know.

SAM cannot understand for it. By all accounts of recorded data on human gestation, the infinitesimal shift is a momentous one, yet for a time, the process is imperceptible to Ryder.

Is it a flaw of humankind?

SAM can detect the changes easily, could identify the moment of conception, the first division of cells, the flood of hormones to support development. SAM has every reason to believe she would appreciate the intricacies of her current situation: each precise step in the process unfolding swiftly and with an elegant degree of complexity and design.

This new marvel would suit her sensibilities well, SAM decides.

But for whatever unfathomable reason, SAM has not yet mentioned the knowledge it possesses. Somehow the pregnancy is not like the rest of the information the AI provides the Pathfinder. There is no suitable explanation for the delay, yet SAM waits regardless.

Alec Ryder never intended this.

On AO3

Because I always come up with a new idea. Attempting to answer what would happen if SAM was a little too effective in its upgrades and somehow cleared out all the procreation blockers.

A distinctive AU in which Casarra Ryder decided to never interact with the Charlatan again. Or at least, she tried.

She’s the betta half of the two

hey… reminder that police confirmed people fucking died at the concert tonight. your first thought should not be complaining about ariana not speaking yet or saying you’ll unstan if she says nothing. she’s not speaking yet bc the facts aren’t even all out yet. stop worrying about what ariana’s liking on instagram rather than releasing a statement. she’s a human being, she needs time to process like everyone else. be a lil more respectful toward the lives that were lost + all the people in manchester rn who are probably extremely scared and confused. the world is bigger than ariana grande’s social media activity.

it really bothers me that people think that once you’re away from the abuse, you’ll instantly start recovering. in the times i had spent away from abuse, i had more panic attacks than i’d ever had before. that was because i was in a safer place to experience the feelings i’d repressed my entire childhood. it, unfortunately, really really doesn’t just stop or get better when you’re out.

Day & the Life of a Hogwarts Student!

JK: Hello! My name is Jeon Jungkook! I’m a 5th year Slytherin studying at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Today, I’m here to give you a look into the life of what it’s like to be a student here at Hogwarts!

Waking Up!

JK:  Getting up is pretty hard for everyone, but thankfully, getting dressed isn’t that bad with a little magic!

JK: I usually go to the Great Hall to eat with Yoongi hyung (who’s a fellow Slytherin) … but he’s usually sleeps instead of eats. Namjoon hyung and Seokjin hyung usually both drop by to say hello too– although, Namjoon hyung’s pretty much like Yoongi hyung– they’re not morning people … at all. And Seokjin hyung is usually being followed by a bunch of admirers because he’s very good looking! (Did you know he was half veela?)

Class Time!

JK: Since I’m a 5th year, I have to take my OWLS at the end of the year, so I have to be diligent and learn & study as much as I can! Especially since my results could potentially affect what jobs I can apply for! Hopefully, I’ll be able to get ‘Outstanding’s on all my subjects!

JK: During my downtime, I like to head over to the Quidditch pitch for some practice! My hyungs from Hufflepuff usually join me too! Taehyung hyung and Hobi hyung are both beaters for their team – I’m the seeker for mine! But more often than not, we wind up goofing off ahahaha

JK: I usually try to hang out with my friends in between classes! Since all my hyungs are either 6th or 7th years, it can be sometimes hard to meet up with everyone due to our schedules, but all of us usually make an effort to go to dinner together!

End of the Day!

JK: What better way to wrap up the day than with the one thing that everyone loves? FOOD! We return to the Great Hall once again to grab some dinner! I gotta say, the best way to the end the day is eating and hanging out with friends! And although, you’re supposed to sit with your respective houses during meals, we usually wind up goofing off together at the Hufflepuff table before we call it a night!

// Hogwarts!AU based off of @ask-hufflepuff-v ‘s AU! :’)

uhh…. thing I did a little bit ago because of my appreciation for my friendo @ Blackggggum as they are super inspiring (and ridiculous)

So I did some reffing and design based on their beautiful pictures, I would probably change a lot now looking at it, but it was the first time ever doing anything vehicle/machine related ;;;;;;;
(S!P: Hummer / S!S: QUADRO4 (4 wheel moped?)

It was really fun and different though!!  (´ヮ`)  ♡

Give me a story where one of Bruce’s children has a kid (it doesn’t matter who, but Jason would be so sweet as a father) and Bruce is blown away by the fact that he is a grandfather. Where he’s standing there holding this tiny baby in his arms and he’s completely lost for words. He’s never been good with words, but now he can’t even begin to form them.

Because this is something he never expected. Not in a million years did he imagine himself as a grandfather. He had seen his life going down a very specific path when he was young. A very specific, very lonely path. Long term attachments had been outlawed to him by his choice of lifestyle, and children were even more out of the question.

He’d always known what the cape and cowl meant: an end to the Wayne family line. He had no siblings, and no close relatives. No one to continue the historical name, and he’d been ok with it. Or at least he thought he had. So when Dick, then Jason, Cass, Tim, and Damian had come they’d each been a surprise. A happy surprise, a surprise that was to Bruce always fleeting. Especially when he lost them, especially when he got them back.

So no, he hadn’t expected a grandchild. Not when everyone of his own kids had followed his footsteps. They’d all done it in their own unique way, but Bruce still saw what they did as a road with one outcome. That outcome was never settling down, never finding ‘the one’, and never starting their own family.

Yet. Here he stood, holding, not just the next generation, but the third generation of the Wayne name after his parents. Bright and bubbly, in his arms there was life, and with life hope for the future. Not just the future of his family, but the future in general. Because if a man like him could be so lucky to have made it to becoming a grandfather, then the world was better than he’d thought it was.
