Prompt: Imagine overworking your powers because you’re afraid of disappointing Charles, bu because of that, you collapse when working with him
Pairing: Charles x Reader
Warnings: Swearing, probably
Notes: Thank you to @marvel-imagines-marvel-fandoms for inspiring me and letting me use these! And not beta’d so if it sucks, that’s why. Thank you for reading!
Laying in the warm sun on an open patch of the garden, with your eyes closed, you let your mind drift. You didn’t think about all the assignments due by the end of the week, how you missed your family, how your powers were enough to make you a freak but not enough to do anything. Every other student at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters was amazing. Everyone had a special power or mutation that made them helpful, powerful…meaningful. And here you were, a simple telepath with weak electricity manipulation. You could barely guess the number someone was thinking when they asked you to nor could you barely get a spark going. Your powers were found out when a guy pushed you in a pool a year ago in your second year of college and the thrill jolted your powers, causing everyone in the pool to be electrocuted. They were okay but you weren’t–you’d never be the same after that moment. The juice wasn’t strong enough to hurt anyone badly, just enough to jounce them.
Being that you were a telepath, the head professor, Charles Xavier, took to training you. It was the most daunting task you’d ever faced. He was handsome, clever, incredibly gifted and intelligent, and you were somehow supposed to focus on your weak powers around him. Charles had discovered that your telepath powers came at a much younger age but you didn’t realize it. All this time you thought knowing the things you did were commonplace. You always knew what you were getting for Christmas or for your birthday or what really happened to that pet goldfish of yours. You thought you just had an uncanny ability to tell when people were lying, but the actuality of it was you could some how feel the truth in their thoughts.
Anyways, first we have OC 23! His name is Copy, and he’s a Grackle! (He appears in Griro.)
A member of the Duskwing Trio. He’s has a very feminine personality, and absolutely loves to dress up. He likes to be up-to-date with fashion and any product that will make him youthful. He is very attached to his boss Black, who he has feelings for. He also isn’t a big fan of bad news, and will become very dramatic over hearing it, even if it isn’t that bad. Also, he tries his best to avoid murder cases.
Next, we have OC 161! Her name is Coraline, and she’s a Clownfish! (She is yet to appear in any series.)
Coraline is very positive and friendly, and loves every creature in the sea, but she gets startled easily. She’s an excellent cook, and especially loves to work with sweets. She loves to add candy corn to every dessert dish she makes, because she thinks it’s the perfect touch of happiness. She cares for her friend Michi very much, and makes gift bags for her every day.
Then, there is OC 66! Her name is Mana, and she’s a Manatee! (She appears in Griro! And I’m pretty sure some of you remember her right?)
Mana enjoys playing with others, and is very kind. She lives with Makoa, a Irraddy Dolphin who treats Mana as if she is her daughter. Mana loves seeing her friends happy, and will do her best to try to make them happy if they are sad. She is extremely lucky, and uses her luck to help others in need!
Finally, there is OC 17! Her name is Lita, and she’s a Raven! (She appears in Griro.)
A member of the Duskwing Trio. She is overconfident. She has very good senses, which is helpful when it comes to murder cases, but hardly helps out because she finds it boring. She finds it exciting making friends, and will go to far by asking odd questions. Like Copy, she is attached to her boss Black, who she has feelings for. She also finds bugs to be very delicious, especially worms, which grosses out Copy, but she doesn’t care about his feelings.
you were nothing but human in the beginning but pause in the darkness for long enough and you will see a change. i already see, from out- side, that you are cold around the edges. beneath ice there is a world moving slow. there is a heart- beat muffled under snow and beneath snow there is your voice trapped in the voice box and it cannot get out to do anything with itself it is trapped. in certain telescopic images the sun looks blue and you are the same thing. blue at the edges and at the center, deep, melancholy, freezing. absurd black cosmos. you are not the same thing. but you are made of what they are made of just a bit more or perhaps a bit less. either way you are deep blue being. you are trans- mission electronic you are the captor of satellite waves you are human aluminium, you’ve got that light-speed body and you can see in the dark but only if it is a dark you yourself have created. the glow of the screen affects you. the full moon has you dragging your body through the snow. not all darknesses look the same and some just don’t belong to you. are you more than dust are you more than wolf probably not. still you drift sideways towards the shiniest things. you can dive deeper, if you want. into your dark. it’s just you have to be familiar with it and you can’t be afraid. you can pause for a bit but like the bottom of the ocean fish you will become see through if you stay too long. you may grow teeth that glow and make it impossible for you to ever be hidden. you can do it if you want i just thought i’d warn you because i know how humans like to hide and i know how you like your thick skin, that wall of flesh that stops you from thinking about what it is that beats inside of you and how exactly it keeps you alive.
dagcup (idk. I don't think a ship has to be sexual.) I'm curious :)
Personally, I wish this ship HAD happened in canon if it had been allowed. The writers slipped in so many implications of such a ship that they had to be teasing the censors.
Dagur embodies a bad-boy rugged quality; he’s murderous but charming, and unlike Alvin his goals were clear in the show. He wants Hiccup, and he feels that Toothless had come between them so he wants the Night Fury dead. Each of his actions are a means toward attaining that goal, from dominating the Skrill to capturing Stoick the Vast. How could we not love a competent villain with diabolical schemes?
Hiccup would have none of that love. He made his feelings about such a relationship quite clear by calling it “awkward” in “The Night and the Fury”, and Dagur lost his shot at it the minute he threatened Toothless. Each episode has him not trying to win Dagur over with “earn a dragon’s trust” or extending compassion to the young chief, and he disagrees with deposing fathers in charge.
In terms of character, probably wouldn’t happen unless Dagur managed to change his vicious ways or Hiccup became brainwashed and broken for a few episodes. In either case, there’d be a dangerous thrill to dating Dagur, and trying things his way.
