In his youth,Prince George, Duke of Kent was said to have been quite the ladies man and he was said to have fathered at least two illegitimate children. His alleged children were Raine McCorquodale (b. 1929) who became the second wife of Earl Spencer, making her the step-mother of the late Princess Diana, and Michael Temple Canfield (1926-1969) who married Lee Radziwill (née Bouvier), making him the brother-in-law of future First Lady Jackie Kennedy.

In the 1960s, Radziwill attempted to forge a career as an actress. Her acting attempt was unsuccessful, but she did receive international publicity. Largely untrained, Radziwill received dismal reviews in the 1967 production of The Philadelphia Story, starring as spoiled Main Line heiress Tracy Lord.
