Born: 25 October 2001. First in line of succession to her father, King Philippe of Belgium

2. Princess Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria. Princess of Orange.  

Born: 7 December 2003. Heiress apparent after her father, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

3. Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway. 

Born: 21 January 2004. Second in line to succession after her father Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.  

4. Princess Leonor de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Ortiz. Princesa de Asturias  

Born: 31 October 2005. First line of succession to her father, King Felipe VI of Spain. 

5. Princess Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary. Duchess of Östergötland. 

Born: 23 February 2012. Second in line of succession after her mother, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. 

So the Belgians got a new King this weekend, and King Philippe brought with him four blonde princes and princesses. The girl not awkwardly squinting like an amateur is now the first in line to the Belgian throne, a job which I assume requires little more than attending operas and cracking champagne bottles over cruise ships. (I would be so good at that job.)

I like Princess Elisabeth’s strong, confident wave, her bold red outfit, and the political nothingness that comes from being the Future Queen of the Belgians. I have no problems with her, and I wish her well.

This will be the only royal news for the week.

Just kidding. The Duchess of Cambridge is in labor. I have to cover that mess.
