Elisabetta Rosboch von Wolkenstein’s title revealed

Finally after 1 year of marriage, the Belgian Court has opened up about the title of Prince Amedeo’s wife. Prince Amedeo and the Italian beauty Elisabetta “Lili” Rosboch von Wolkenstein married on July 5 2014 in Rome, Italy. Before they married, Prince Amedeo didn’t officially ask the permission of his uncle the King to marry Lili, therefore Prince Amedeo is no longer in line to the throne. His future children won’t be either. Sources close to the court have confirmed this and well known Belgian royal watchers confirmed this as well. Because of this, Lili won’t receive the title Princess of Belgium.

So what title has Lili received then? Sources close to the court and royal watchers confirm Lili has received the title: Princess Amedeo of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria and Princess of Hungary. Her highest title in Belgium will be Archduchess of Austria because it is forbidden to have foreign titles (Princess of Hungary) according to the Belgian law. Prince Amedeo’s father Prince Lorenz is head of the family Austria-Este.

Note: There is no official statement from the Belgian Royal court confirming these titles but there are many reasons to assume this are her real titles. Every Belgian newspaper writes about this and it’s not speculation, many of these things are written in the Belgian law. The court won’t make an official statement about this.

Prince Amedeo, Princess Maria Laura, Princess Maria Laetitia, Princess Louise, Princess Astrid, King Albert, Prince Aymeric, Prince Nicolas, Prince Laurent, Princess Claire and Queen Paola of Belgium assist at Princess Astrid’s 50th birthday at Schonenberg Residence on June 2, 2012
