It's been a bad week and I want to give up, but I press on. Can I maybe request a Rafa Drabble where his gf has a bad day/week and feels like giving up, but he is the sweet ball of perfection that we all know he is? Or something like that. Thank you.
He finds you underneath the covers. He doesn’t ask if something’s wrong or what’s wrong; he just makes you a cup of your favorite warm beverage (in your favorite mug), turns on your rainy day playlist, lights a couple of candles, and sneaks into your hiding place.
Rafael wordlessly wipes the tears from your cheeks, kisses the corners of your eyes, your nose, your forehead. You curl into his embrace, burying your nose in the hollow of his neck, finding comfort in his familiar scent and the warmth of his arms. He lazily drags his fingers up and down your spine, as he quietly hums along to the song playing in the background.
You sigh as you grasp his shirt, right above his heart. Eventually, you both sit up in bed, your legs curled up in his lap and your head on his shoulder. “This week sucked,” you mutter, as he hands you your mug. You take it gratefully, though you press your forehead into his shoulder. “Sometimes I just feel like giving up.”
“I know, baby,” he says. He kisses the top of your head, his lips lingering against your hair, as he places a comforting hand on your knee. He gives it a small squeeze, and you can feel him smile against your head. “But I’m right here. You don’t need to do this alone.”
You raise your head, perching your chin on his shoulder. Your smile is watery, but you’re trying; Rafa always makes you want to try. “Thank you,” you whisper, and he responds with a kiss that makes your toes, ears, and heart feel warm.
