press the fashion

harry only had a 70k difference from zayn who did 0 promo after doing the highest rated snl show in years, a week at james corden's show, dozens of radio interviews, several billboards, raving reviews, a snapchat app, and the push of industry heavyweights including the heads of columbia... lmao. he did more promo than bieber did for purpose and still sold less than 1/3 of what his last album did. tell me why you're celebrating. (hint: you won't. because you won't even publish this lmao)

0 promo? Well I’m sorry that being the first member to quit the biggest boyband at the time, creating feud with a member of said boyband, talking abt creating real music and how it wasn't possible while being in said boyband in every next interview, dissing the music of said boyband etc wasn’t enough :/

Also dating a famous victoria’s secret model, having her promote your music and garner press, going to multiple fashion shows, getting papped almost everyday, performing at iheartradio, jimmy fallon, wango tango, releasing a “tell all” book, attending radio shows like elvis duran and siriusxm etc wasn’t enough either 💔

Why I’m celebrating you ask? because my fave had a smashing debut with his first “not so mainstream and radio friendly” single, which is still in the top tens of many charts across countries over a month after it’s release. His first album debuting at #1 in UK and USA and a record breaking sold out tour etc!

I’m celebrating renowned people in the industry praising him, his generosity. The general public acknowledging his talent and his fanbase getting wider and wider. I’m celebrating him doing all of this, without saying ONE bad word abt the band that brought him where he is, and being grateful abt it instead. I’m celebrating how everyone he’s met during his promo has said nothing but good stuff abt him. I’m celebrating his sold out secret shows for charity.

I’m celebrating that my fave isn’t the “I like girls that are a bit chunky in certain areas - the nice areas. I enjoy an intellectual conversation as well, where someone can construct a sentence beyond what hair and make-up they’re wearing” type but the “Young girls like the Beatles. You gonna tell me they’re not serious? How can you say young girls don’t get it? They’re our future - our future doctors, lawyers, mothers, presidents, they kind of keep the world going. Teenage-girl fans - they don’t lie. If they like you, they’re there. They don’t act ‘too cool’. They like you, and they tell you” type.

I’m celebrating the fact that years from now nobody would remember the difference in sales, but the album, the music, the person. They’ll remember him being praised by rock icons. How he took the stage with a legend and she had nothing but good words to say abt him. That’s enough reason for celebration innit?

Also speaking of Bieber, did you see this post on his insta?
