Once you have that freedom to love and you’re not being forced to live a life that you don’t feel, that you’re not actually, that isn’t yours. I think that the innocence of a baby and that kind of dynamic can become something that is much more. The baby ceases to become an instrument of his destruction or an anchor. And I think that there’s a lot more freedom there to end up appreciating and loving something that you made.
