Setting up a kitchen is one of the hardest things for me as the result mostly looks quite dull to me. This is why I like to get inspired by others’ ideas.I found this partiular “constellation” in one of Awesims’ homes in Pounawea and finally found out how it is done.
The instructions are in the captions.
Please tell me if you found this tutorial useful :)
This lot was really fun to build. It’s a tiny old schoolhouse for my Pounawea renovation project. The first floor contains the town’s one and only classroom, as well as an entryway with the school rabbit hole rug and two bathrooms. Upstairs, there is a musty little library with a couple of desks and plenty of bookshelves and a separate computer lab with two large, antiquated computers and a cheap, vintage television set. The yard has a fully equipped playground with a sandbox, seesaws, a soccer net, two swings, and a slide.
I’ve had mixed reviews from the couple of people I’ve shown this place to, so I’m a bit hesitant to post it here, but I actually kind of like how it’s turning out. A few months ago I found some pictures of this wonderfully rustic yet still quite contemporary house that was built on the side of a mountain in Montana, and I wanted to try my hand at creating it in the game. Of course I’ve now completely forgotten where I saw it at, but I do think my recreation comes quite close to the original, at least from what little I could make out of the layout from the photos. I may change the landscaping a bit, and I still need to finish the last two bedrooms, but otherwise it’s pretty much done. I’ll try to post some more pictures of the interior later, but my game is not cooperating right now and I wasn’t happy with the ones I already took.
On a side note, I’m trying a new Photoshop action, and I can’t decide if I like it. I think it makes my pictures too bright, or at least this set. Ah well. I’m too lazy to go back and redo them now. XD
