The Winner of this weeks Photo of the Week is: Fred Tougas
Fred is kind of a distant friend of mine and we’ve talked a lot through tumblr and he’s a great photographer. This picture he said was taken on his trip to Vietnam. The picture in my opinion is brilliant, and it’s great. Thank you for sending this in Fred, and you guys should probably check out his blog. All of his photos are all his and they’re great. Once again, I wanna thank everyone for the great submissions this week, keep sending them in here for a chance to be POTW. Congrats to this weeks winner and good luck to you guys who submit this week. Travel, love, live.

This cold growing species is native to the mountains of Formosa. Because it is cold tolerant, it can be naturalized in much of the northern area of the US including SW OH where this plant lives. The picture shows a pink form. There are others including alba. This plant is grown in a pot. It is vernalized in an old refrigerator and put back outside when the weather begins to warm.
This picture was taken while I was skiing in Norway. It’s supposed to symbolise that while we make our way through life (the people on the way down the hill), the darkness is there to guide us on the right path. The trees are symbolising the darkness that create our failures in life btw.
This picture is amazing, as you can see. breathtaking really, but what got me even more was the message underneath. I absolutely love that you saw this picture in that way because its actually a beautiful metaphor for life and our failures. Really, thank you for sending this. You really deserve this week! Once again, I wanna thank everyone for the great submissions this week, keep sending them in here for a chance to be POTW. Congrats to this weeks winner and good luck to you guys who submit this week. Travel, love, live.
