Mercedes Benz W124 500E/E500, 1991-1994. A high-performance version of the W124 fitted with a naturally aspirated 5.0 litre V8 engine derived from the 500 SL created in close cooperation with Porsche. Each car was hand-built by Porsche, being transported back and forth between the Mercedes and Porsche plants during assembly — it took 18 days to complete each model. Initially called the 500 E (top pic) from 1990-1993, for 1994 it was face-lifted (bottom 3 pics) along with the rest of the W124 range and renamed to E500. Total production was just over 10,000 cars, all of which were left-hand-drive
