pop art challenge

I only did 18 because of the lack of space… but anyway! I chose to do only art styles of tumblr artists because I didn’t wanna draw cartoon/anime/video games styles. I did try my best to draw in my fellow artists’ art style but some of them kicked my ass. I chose this artists because I love their art and every time I see it, it makes me really happy, ily guys.

Rain surprised them and they forgot the umbrella this time.

Kiss art challenge

(I’m not taking more requests, I’m just finishing the ones I’ve previously had)

anonymous asked:

maybe bubblegum mettaton?

I’ve actually never had bubblegum ice cream, but the colors for the palette look like one of my favorite flavors, cotton candy!!

Mettaton looks REALLY GOOD in this palette. I also really love the cotton-candy pink/blue color scheme, so I was enjoying myself a little too much while I did this.

“Pop Doctor” - Digital Oil Painting

Every so often, I want to challenge myself to do an art style I don’t normally use. To that end, I decided to do a pop art inspired painting with a pattern background and simple colors, but I kept David’s lovely brown eyes for a focal point. I like how it turned out, especially the hair.

If you enjoy my art, please consider subscribing to my Patreon! I am saving to buy a wheelchair lift and new battery.

Aries: Pop Art

Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist’s use of the mass-produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of fine art. Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of pop art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.  Pop art often takes as its imagery that which is currently in use in advertising. Product labeling and logos figure prominently in the imagery chosen by pop artists, like in the Campbell’s Soup Cans labels, by Andy Warhol.

I decided I would actually participate in the ink challenge in order to better my skills. The ink challenge rules are to use only ink, no pencil, no erasing. So for this drawing I drew the lovely Mama Cass❤. Unfortunately she came out not looking quite like herself in my style, but then again I couldn’t erase. Cass Elliot was an always be such a lovely person in my heart, and everything she stood for has made me a stronger person.

“My advice is precisely the advice my mother gave me. If you believe you have talent, the next thing you must have is determination. If you keep working, keep striving, and try always to move forward a little bit with every job you do, you’ll eventually make it. And I believe that!”

“Diamond is Unbreakable lineart”- Making more posters for an upcoming convention, Overload. I sketched this idea up in 10 minutes on Friday, and spent most of today detailing it. So far, so good! Still have some tinkering to go, but next is the fun part of colouring it! Wish me luck <3<br>
