Pomatomus socks, 2014

I bought this yarn a couple of years ago to make this pattern, but my first attempt was far too tight. I frogged it and left it alone for a while, then picked it up in June 2014 to try again. This time, I used US3 DPNs for the lace and US2 DPNs for the sole and toe. The sock fits beautifully and I’m clipping along on the second one.  I haven’t made socks in years but I now remember why I enjoyed them so much. These were worked on while my husband was in the hospital, so they kept me sane when I needed it most.

The yarn is Bittersweet Woolery’s delightful sock yarn in colorway Daffodil, which I also bought in her BFL spinning fiber as well. The socks won’t use up the whole skein so I’ll have to figure out how I want to use the rest.

ETA: Fixed it so I linked to the pattern, oops.

#Knitting these handwarmers after I’ve frogged this project twice already. I always start it (for myself) and get distracted making stuff for other people. I will finish these this time, dammit. Pattern is modified from #knitty’s #pomatomus sock pattern. #knits #nerdgirlyarns
