CSRG 1915/28S Chauchat automatic rifle

Designed by Louis Chauchat and Charles Sutter, manufactured in France by SIDARME or Gladiator during World War 1, later rechambered in Belgium then Yugoslavia.
7,92x57mm Mauser 16-round removable box magazine, long recoil select fire, wobbly bipod.

These guns are like hot potatoes.

Brothers Stephen and Chris Muscarella, founders of The Field Company, became acquainted with cast iron as kids — the hefty vintage skillets were a staple of their family’s kitchen arsenal. “When we both shipped out on our own, we were each given a vintage pan that had accumulated many years of love and use,” they say. But in recent years, they noticed that cast iron pans just weren’t made the way they used to be.

That’s why The Field Company’s first foray into cookware, The Field Skillet, is a painstakingly designed cast iron pan “reminiscent of the best vintage of American skillets, but with a modern twist.” Like the best vintage pans, these skillets are machined and polished for an exceptionally smooth cooking surface, but they’re also lighter than a traditional cast iron pan — in fact, The Field Skillet is lighter than a 13-inch MacBook Pro, the brothers say. This is a fabulous assortment of Sri Lanka sapphires, ranging in weight from 18.19 carats to 188 carats. A few minerals are used as gems in their natural crystal form. Most, however, are shaped and polished to bring out their sparkle, brilliant color, and/or unusual texture. Gems that are transparent, like these sapphires, are normally faceted: cut with a machine that polishes small, flat windows (called facets) at regular intervals and exact angles. This maximizes light reflected by the stone, highlighting its optical properties and causing it to sparkle.

Born in September? Your birthstone is sapphire! While people often think of sapphires as blue, they come in many colors.

The day had been slow after his morning appointment ended. Kuro wondering why he agreed to stay much later as he polished off a machine.

Doors chiming, he braced himself for the potential for it to bore him even further. Slipping into a polite mask. “Irasshaimase.” His voice called over, smooth but somehow avoiding a rehearsed tone as he welcomed the woman into his shop.

To his surprise, he recognized her as he came out from the back. Slipping into a seat behind the front desk. “To what does this shop owe your visit?”
