policestate

The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid ‘dens of crime’ that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state…
—  C.S. Lewis

It was more sophisticated than we had imagined: new documents show that the violent crackdown on Occupy last fall – so mystifying at the time – was not just coordinated at the level of the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and local police. The crackdown, which involved, as you may recall, violent arrests, group disruption, canister missiles to the skulls of protesters, people held in handcuffs so tight they were injured, people held in bondage till they were forced to wet or soil themselves –was coordinated with the big banks themselves.

The Partnership for Civil Justice Fund, in a groundbreaking scoop that should once more shame major US media outlets (why are nonprofits now some of the only entities in America left breaking major civil liberties news?), filed this request. The document – reproduced here in an easily searchable format – shows a terrifying network of coordinated DHS, FBI, police, regional fusion center, and private-sector activity so completely merged into one another that the monstrous whole is, in fact, one entity: in some cases, bearing a single name, the Domestic Security Alliance Council. And it reveals this merged entity to have one centrally planned, locally executed mission. The documents, in short, show the cops and DHS working for and with banks to target, arrest, and politically disable peaceful American citizens.

The documents, released after long delay in the week between Christmas and New Year, show a nationwide meta-plot unfolding in city after city in an Orwellian world: six American universities are sites where campus police funneled information about students involved with OWS to the FBI, with the administrations’ knowledge (p51); banks sat down with FBI officials to pool information about OWS protesters harvested by private security; plans to crush Occupy events, planned for a month down the road, were made by the FBI – and offered to the representatives of the same organizations that the protests would target; and even threats of the assassination of OWS leaders by sniper fire – by whom? Where? – now remain redacted and undisclosed to those American citizens in danger, contrary to standard FBI practice to inform the person concerned when there is a threat against a political leader (p61).

The murder of Mike Brown was a tipping point. This isn’t just about him anymore, or Ferguson. America must change!

BREAKING: Gov. Jay Nixon orders National Guard onto Ferguson streets to restore ‘peace’

Kent State, anybody in charge remember how that went?

If you or one of your family members experienced the after math of Katrina first hand, than you know all about martial law…

You know there’s a bigger agenda when the National Guard gets called in…

So the solution to an over militarized police is…..the army. Got it!

This is going on in America. The only free I see here is a cop walking away from murdering a young man.

Wondering why excessive police violence? Here’s a guess: #Ferguson police chief got training in #Israel…  http://instagram.com/p/r1MOC9v42u/?modal=true

American police uses excessive force against #Ferguson protestors. We’re so concerned.

I’d understand #Ferguson a lot better if I knew why such a heavily black town has such a heavily white government, as well as police force.

People in the media try to make the protesters in Ferguson sound like thugs when in actuality they are fighting for their humanity.

The contortions of logic Wilson apologists are already resorting to, to justify SIX SHOTS into Mike Brown, is truly sad.

Here we go again. ..CNN making up lies to cover for police…

Cops Caught on Surveillance Video Beating Man for Recording Traffic Stop

Last January, Kyle Howell was pulled over by Nassau County police in New York and pulled out his phone to record the stop, only to get threatened with violence if he dared do it again.

Last month, 20-year-old Kyle was pulled over again by the same officer, boldly pulling out his phone to record the stop despite the previous threat – only for the cop and another cop to make good on the threat by viciously beating him in a violent rage.

The cops prevented him from recording the arrest, enabling them to conjure a story that they were the ones attacked in a “violent struggle” that sent them to the hospital for treatment, justifying felony charges against Kyle who had only been pulled over for a cracked windshield.

But then a surveillance video emerged showing that the cops were the aggressors. And now his family is planning on suing. This is what happened to Kyle within 50 seconds of being pulled over. Notice how they beat Kyle so severely his car moves back. When he is finally out of his car he pretty much collapses on the back of his car.

Kyle, who didn’t put up a fight, has a broken nose, bone fractures near both eyes and facial nerve damage.

After Kyle’s release on $10,000 bond following a hospital arraignment, he and his father got a video from a store security camera that captured his police encounter, according to his family.

Kyle recalled getting a knee to his face, being hit repeatedly in the head and hearing police telling him to spit something out. He said he was only chewing gum, didn’t have any drugs, and didn’t hit the police back.

Kyle, who may be left with permanent vision problems, was charged with assaulting the cops, tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest.

…it seems to me that the first thing we need to do is get the mindset out of our police departments that they are conducting counterterror operations in hostile, foreign territory. Ferguson, Missouri is not Fallujah, The whole thing, the training, the surplus military gear given to police departments, the us vs them mentality where cops think the people they are sworn to protect and serve are The Enemy, that needs to be ripped out from these departments.

”If you think this is the ‘new normal’ & we just ‘accept it’ you are part of the problem”

The solution to stop the chaos in #Ferguson is simple: arrest Darren Wilson, prosecute him, and convict him of murder. But they won’t do it.

ARREST #DarrenWilson, FIRE #ChiefJackson now!

It really says something that the international war correspondents are the ones heading to #Ferguson to cover what’s going on.

Amnesty International has felt the need to send human rights observers to Ferguson. Just… What else can be said?

Ferguson is the flashpoint. There are tens of thousands of “powder-keg” communities in this country. Elected officials MUST RECOGNIZE THIS.

Teargas without warning, turning off streetlights, flashbangs, LRAD. All intended to create panic. Chaos. Not to clear streets.
