Today is Poke Bird’s birthday (she’s 12), so I just went over to her and told her “Guess what? It’s your birthday! Happy birthday, Poke! You’re the birthday bird today!” And then I sang happy birthday to her. And she got so excited and danced along. And then she regurgitated. -_-
ever notice how there’s three ways to say pokemon? most people I’ve met pronounce it ‘pok-a-mon’, that’s just how we’ve always said it. But there’s also the people who take it more seriously and pronounce it ‘poke-eh-mon’, which is what ‘pokémon’ is intended to sound like.
and then there’s those who know about pokemon but don’t really care- newscasters, some of our parents, etc.. who say “pokey-mon/poke-ee-mon”
