pokerwork

Stucked at home for a week, because of a terrible flu. I just begin to feel a little better (the last days, I was totally knocked out by the fever). I just made a few wood decoration for Yule. This si definitely not a work of art, but since it’s just my second trying, I try to be self-indulgent.

Dammit!!

I’ve came to the conclusion that burning grey/white hair on wood isn’t supposed to happen.

Black, brown, hell, even red isn’t difficult.

White just…bah! Burning the hair makes it brown (obviously) so now I have to find a way to turn it white. Burnt wood to white. Hmpf.

*sigh*

Pastel colour on its own wouldn’t do it. Oil-based might, and that should be semi-permanent considering it would very slightly sink into the exposed wood.

Can’t be paint. Not that you can’t paint pokerwork, just that I’m not painting this one.

Oil based pastels, I suppose. More than one layer, I suspect. Better bloody work.
