Draw a set of Pokemon tarot cards. I have no idea which Pokemon would represent which card, but aesthetically it would be super decorative and detailed. Could be interesting. Probably never happen though
These are my opinions, and you are welcome to share how you would form your Pokemon Tarot. The cards are to come from the trading card game. I would not be making them. So I am looking at one pokemon card per tarot card.
Fate and destiny go in a circle, with ups and downs and what goes around comes around’s. The Wheel has three figures: a snake descending, Anubis ascending, and a sphinx on the top. Seviper, Lucario, and Luxray fit the bill well! The four Pokemon in the background correspond to the official Pokemon horoscope.
This card is filled with misdirection and mystery. When the Moon is present in a reading, it means you may not have an idea about where to go or what to do, and the path ahead is dark. However, if you persevere, you’ll make it out eventually! Lunatone is a good stand-in for the traditional moon. The symbolism is deep in this card; the domesticated Growlithe and wild Poochyena are both captivated by the moon’s appeal, meaning anyone is liable to be caught up in the illusion. The crayfish often shown on the card is a symbol of hidden thoughts rising to the surface, and Corpish was too cute not to include!
Tl;dr: Lunatone is a space rock, Growlithe and Poochyena are dogs, and Corpish is adorable.
Living the Pokemon Trainer dream. A very belated birthday gift for my best friend Sara. Since we’re both huge fans of the franchise, I decided to paint us with our favorite Pokemon. PS: Seviper isn’t actually my favorite.
It was really fun imagining the pokemon world more magical than scientific…. So if you caught a pokemon, it would be through tarot cards, and to summon them, you have to go all Card Captor Sakura in battles…
Everyone always seemed to want Tarot to develop her precognition instead of her TOTALLY BAD-ASS OTHER POWER. She’s one of those characters who has a power that seems way more mystical than mutant. (Object specific powers seem like a weird way for natural mutant abilities to manifest.)
I may have spent too much time thinking about Tarot’s powerset.
