png's own

First one is a conventional chibi (recently done)

the second one is one of my last “chibi” attempt made on 2014.

Idk how to do chibis :’V and be 100% satisfy with them (even tho i don’t think ill be 100% satisfy with anything i do)

since I promised to make an appreciation for Shadow’s fangs I thought why not make a little thread! I apologize for not posting this sooner but I’ve never made a thread before and I honestly don’t really know what I’m doing lol ( bare with me ) but anyways let’s start!

So here’s two screenshots and two pngs from his own game.  I really love the CGI cutscenes ( which are amazing btw ). these two screenshots are probably the cutscenes were his fangs are the most visible and they also happen to be my favorite moments in the entire game :) anyways his fangs looks super cute, I just wish they were more visible in the game like they are in the artwork. well let’s move on to my favorite Shadow appearance and design.

Sonic 06 is probably the game were Shadow’s fangs are the most visible during cutscenes and artwork. I’m sorry if these screenshots makes his fangs look “smaller” than they do on the artwork. ( when you play the game they do actually look a lot bigger compared to these screenshots lol ) I absolutely love this artwork picture of him, it’s one of my favorite since he looks so good plus you can see his fang very well which I love :)

here’s a little bonus picture to finish this very little thread lmao. but anyway I hope that this thread wasn’t all that bad considering it’s my first and it’s hard to write out what I really feel about Shadow’s fangs since I have problems writing out my feelings and stuff, plus english isn’t my first language ( it’s swedish )

Sabrina’s Icon Tutorial

So you wanna learn how to make simple icons, and make them fast? This is the post FOR YOU. I constantly brag about my 1,500 icons for each of my muses, all simply edited and edited fast with minimal effort on my end.
(Note, this tutorial ISN’T how I edit my icons, but how I make editing them easier on myself.)

For this tutorial, you will need:
Photoshop! I use CS6 and while these features might be in earlier versions, I suggest getting CS6 to make things easier on yourself!
Icons to edit! Make sure you’re allowed to edit your icons if you download them from someone else’s icon set.

If you are cropping your icons yourself, try to save the image with the artist’s URL- that way, you can credit the artist if someone asks for it, and you can delete the icon if the artist comes and asks you not to use their art.
If you didn’t crop your icons yourself, don’t worry about it, but please remember to be respectful if an artist approaches you and asks you to stop using a certain icon that uses their art! If they say to stop, stop using the icon and delete it like they asked you to.

That said, let’s get right into this! If a part has confused you, please don’t be afraid to head to my inbox and ask me for clarification!
Also note that this is MY METHOD of making icons- there is no Right or Wrong way to make icons. This is simply how I do them, and how I edit 1,500+ icons in a matter of 10 minutes.

hello there! I have downloaded Adobe After Effects CC to learn how to animate graphics :) just a small question - after you animate in Adobe After Effects CC, how do you convert it to a gif? Do you just save as a gif (somewhere in Adobe After effects CC settings) or you save it as a video and then from photoshop, you just File > Import ? thank you so much (you're awesome) :)

Hey! Glad to see another person has hopped onto the AE train!

So after you finish making everything, you go to the very top menu and click Composition > Add to Render Queue.  Now go to the Render Queue tab.

Before you render, change the Output Module (it will be listed as “Lossless” and will open a new window) to PNG Sequence (you can choose JPEG Sequence if you prefer), this will make AE render each frame of your animation into separate PNG images in its own folder (bless AE).

Be sure to change the location where the folder will save to (under “Output To”) and the image names and folder name so you can find it! Click the Render button and wait until it finishes.

Once thats done, go to Photoshop and go to File > Open  and find the folder. Click on the first image of the PNG sequence and then check the box down below that says “Image Sequence,” this will put all those frames into one sequence.

Now you have the gif in Photoshop and all you need to do is save it through Save for Web and use whichever settings you use for gifs and voila, upload to Tumblr and you’re done. Hope that helped!

EDIT: You can also use the method where you render out as a video and import the video into PS using Video and Scripts method, which allows you more control over individual frames if you want to delete duplicates.

If you need help getting the gif file sizes down, heres a post I did on that.

Happy Birthday, modmad! (It’s transparent.)
