Hi all! Sorry it’s been such a long time since I’ve updated. Things have been crazy with schoolwork, but now that summer is quickly approaching, expect far more frequent updates from me! As always, massive thank you’s to my honorary moms, @mibasiamille and @internallydeceased, for listening to me co plain and attempt to write this chapter for 2+ weeks.

Also, as a piece of shameless self-promotion, you can read more of my work, as well as that of my two pals mentioned above on our joint blog @turtlesoupstories!

Enjoy!

Claire’s heart dropped like a rock. For perhaps the first time in her life, she was completely and utterly speechless. She was not sure whether she wanted to laugh, cry, scream, or pummel her Uncle to the brink of death. Never, in all of the years she had been in Lamb’s care, could she have expected him to proceed so thoughtlessly. She felt betrayed, orphaned all over again, as the one person she thought that she could always count on gave her away like a piece of property.

I thought Uncle Lamb was better than this, she thought to herself. I cannot- I will not marry Frank Randall, and there is no way he can make me.

“I know this isn’t what you wanted-”

“You know bloody well that this isn’t what I wanted!” Claire spat, the anger seeping into her voice.

“If you would give me the opportunity to explain myself, Claire-” He attempted to pacify her. With spiraling curls spilling out wildly around her face and her amber eyes blazing with rage, she looked like a lioness, and Lamb found himself in the unfortunate position of the gazelle.

“Save your explanation,” Claire retorted sharply. “There is nothing that you can say or do that will make me marry Frank Randall. I barely know the man!”

“It will be a good match. You’re both extremely bright, and Professor Randall has taken an interest in you after speaking to you at the University Ball last month.”

Claire could only remember the aforementioned ball in bits and pieces. She had needed to consume a copious amount of champagne in order to survive the stuffy, academic evening. She had been standing alone in the corner of the room, nursing her glass, when Professor Randall had taken the opportunity to stroll to her side. The pair stood in silence for a moment and Claire prayed to every deity she could think of that the lack of conversation would be enough to persuade Randall to leave her to her own devices. Unfortunately, it was not to be.

Endless Summer: Book 2 News

Inside Choices is a behind-the-scenes blog from the Pixelberry team. Got any suggestions for future blog posts? Let us know!

Back in December, Endless Summer kicked off alongside LoveHacks and The Haunting of Braidwood Manor. It began as a fun tropical island adventure, then transformed into a deepening mystery, complete with a final puzzle that you all worked together as a community to figure out.

The journey continues in Endless Summer: Book 2, which will come out around mid-summer (about July for those of us in the US!). It’s been fun hearing from everyone about how excited they are for Book 2, and I promise you, it’s gonna be epic. To tell you more about the upcoming book, here’s the Endless Summer book lead!

First off, what’s Endless Summer: Book 2 going to be about? No spoilers, please!

Endless 2 picks up right where we left off. Some of your friends have been kidnapped, and the island’s mysteries are only getting deeper. But as our misfit heroes search for the dark truth behind La Huerta, they’re going to uncover some dark truths about each other… and themselves.

When Endless Summer: Book 1 came out, it was a departure from the previous Choices books in both art and narrative style. Do you have anything new and different planned for Book 2?

We’ve actually got quite a few fun, new gameplay ideas and features that we’re putting into Endless 2. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say that all the relationships you built up in Book 1 are going to matter way more in Book 2.

What are you most excited for readers to encounter in Book 2?

I have to say, I’m most eager to see how our fans react to our biggest plot twists yet, especially the ones we have in store for the end of this book.

From where I sit, I’m always overhearing bits and pieces about the next Endless Summer book, whether it’s some wild plot twist or new character art. What’s your favorite part of creating Endless Summer?

Endless Summer has had a lot of freedom to explore what’s possible in a Choices storyline. My favorite experience has been using Endless to invent new, meaningful ways for players to determine their character’s choices and see their decisions unfold, in both expected and unexpected ways. Book 2 takes that mission statement even further, and I can’t wait to see what our fans choose to do in their adventure.

If you had to be trapped on a mysterious tropical island with one of the Endless Summer crew, who would it be?

Maybe I’m crazy, but I’ve gotta say Raj. Nobody would be better at making me laugh through tough times, and besides… I think he’s a lot smarter than he lets on.

Interesting choice! To everyone reading, thanks for your patience as the Endless Summer team works hard on the next book. Keep an eye out for Book 2 around July!

aphrodvite  asked:

Hi! I'm a budding author and need your advice. I've always wanted to write an amazing mystery/thriller novel (they're my favorite!) but I'm totally at a loss when it comes with revealing information and shocking the reader. I think about really predominant authors in the genre and I just have NO idea how they think of such interesting plot twists and interconnections between characters. Every time I try, my "mystery" is really obvious to figure out. I need to make it more complicated... but how?

Hi!

I struggle with the exact same problem. I’ve loved mysteries and things that go bump in the night since I was a kid, and I’ve always heard “Write what you love,” but mystery/horror are most definitely not my genres – I suck at writing mysteries, and all my monsters are cheap cardboard funhouse decorations. I’m okay with this, because although I have a tendency to branch into the paranormal or mysterious, I love writing anything (and I mean anything) high-stakes and quick-paced – however, I could improve if I wanted to, and so can you! I think I may be able to give you a couple of tips on how to improve your plot twist game.

1. Foreshadow.
You can write small plot twists (e.g. a character switching loyalties) with steady buildup rather than foreshadowing (this post shows you how), but for the big shabangs that make your readers gasp and cover their eyes with their hands, foreshadowing is the way to go. You may want to check out this ask I answered a while ago that deals more extensively with foreshadowing and how to do it correctly – I think you’ll find it a huge help! Foreshadowing is important because it sets the groundwork for your plot twist, so that it doesn’t seem like a hairpin turn in the road of your story, but rather a slow turn off a cliff, after which your reader realizes they should’ve seen it coming all along. (Nor am I the only person who says so – countless authors preach extensive groundwork for a plot twist, and a couple of posts I’m going to link you to do as well.)

2. Read the material you want to write/feel you need to improve on.
Stephen King is good at plot twists (I used his book The Shining as an example in the ask I linked you to, and there’s another big plot twist in The Shining that I didn’t use, but it follows essentially the same formula), so I would recommend reading him (unless you’re easily frightened). Another book I remember as having a good plot twist at the end is Three by Ted Dekker (but I was about twelve at the time, so it may not actually be as good as I remember). If you like mysteries, study up on the legends: Agatha Christie, Ellery Queen, Dean Koontz. I would even recommend Edgar Allen Poe, as his plot twists are quite good (specifically I’m thinking of The Masque of The Red Death). (Really, a lot of horror authors are masters at plot twists by necessity of their genre – mystery and horror are kissing cousins.)

That’s all I have, but I can link you to a couple of other posts that may help you!

This post that expands on how important groundwork (foreshadowing) is for a plot twist

PLOT TWIST

It’s all a dream.
Emma wakes up from her nightmare to find Julian safe and asleep beside her
No one has died

Malcom had been caught a while back as the clave realised that he was a lunatic.

They are not pararabi as after the dark war the clave thought that maybe thinking over something as serious and life changing (#notakesybackies) as becoming parabtai should be well thought through (especially for 12 year olds)

Mark and Helen are still at the institute after the clave grew a brain (one singular brain as they are all still to dumb to make an independent decision )

Julian ended up confessing his feeling to Emma. She obviously resipricated the feelings # Jemma

Now they are both running the institute with the help of Diana

Arthur is happy back in the London institute with his book

Kit came to join them anyway because Jem and tessa are the original sherlock and Watson

And everyone lived happily ever after

Anime/Manga Shoutouts

Mob Psycho 100 - Very nice animation, likable and somewhat down to Earth protagonist, interesting characters all around. The protagonist reminds me a bit of Haruka from Free! and Kuroko. Fun fact: This is made by the creator of One Punch Man. Shoutout to the animation in the opening. Definitely should have won an award. 12 episodes. Hoping for a sequel anime. It has an ongoing manga but..the art for that…isn’t the best…Yeah. I personally find it hard to read because of the art alone. Everything else is fine. But those shaky lines….I wish the fanbase was bigger :/

Pandora Hearts - Great story telling, all of the plot twists will blow your mind, very nice artwork, an emotion experience that made me cry many times, especially during the finale (and not just because it was ending). Will forever recommend to anyone and everyone. Similar to Black Butler. It has 104 chapters and finished in March 2015. Has an anime adaptation, but it ends in filler, doesn’t cover a lot of the bigger twists later on and is quite old at this point.

AKB0048- Think Love Live but more dramatic, in space, battle lolis and with more plot. It’s quite similar to Pretty Rhythm in how there is an plot, the main characters have emotional distress for good reasons plus switches to 3D animation aren’t that jarring.

The Monogatari Series- My current craze. Definitely not for anime newcomers. Follows and deconstructs the harem anime elements at the same time. The harem is very subtle. Excellent character development (Shoutout to Senjougahara), great visuals (SPECIAL shoutout to Kizumonogatari. Holy hell, the quality is almost too HD for my eyes), interesting story arcs and great characters (10/10 lolis). Has quite a bit of talking, so if you enjoy action 24/7 like shounen, this is not the series for you. The timeline can get quite confusing, but its best just to watch the seasons in airing order. This is SHAFT’s passion project, so prepare for some mind screwy visuals at points. Has some very Japanese puns and wordplay. Quite a bit of gore occasionally. The main character has had his asskicked by almost every girl in that image above and more.

From the New World (Shin Sekai Yori)- This anime is…an experience. This is that one hidden gem. It has various psychological elements that are very well done and leave a sense of eeriness and mystery throughout. Oh, and prepare to question your own morality and humanity afterwards. Basically, humans have evolved to the point of having mind powers like being able to move things with their minds and lighting them on fire with a thought. The main character has just come of age for her powers and in placed in a class to learn more about them/how to control them/learning in general. However, she experiences things that make her question the present and past of her people and humanity that her village has kept secret. But the truth is much darker and morbid than expected. This anime follows the characters from 12 years old to about 26 years old. A very good 25 episodes. Do not take this series lightly.

Kyokai no Kanata (Beyond the Boundary)- One of my top anime of all time and one of the only ones I will always be okay with rewatching. Great story telling, beautiful art and animation (bless kyoani), interesting characters (mostly) and a good balance of light hearted stuff and emotional backstory/plot. There’s a romantic subplot-ish, but its kinda like plot with romantic overtones? idk how to describe it exactly. Has 12 episodes and one movie sequel that everyone should absolutely see and watch the scene after the credits.

Durarara- I could watch it again. VERY big and diverse cast of characters. It’s very easy to lose track of who’s who in the first few episodes. All of them are interesting and have some depth, though. There’s not really a definite main character for this, honestly. The perspective switches quite a bit. Very good story arcs and characters (and development). The animation can get a big dodgy at times, but for the most part, it’s alright. Definitely gets an upgrade in the sequels. This might just be the example of Supernatural Things in Daily Life genre. Plus gangs. Has a second season that’s broken into cours: Duarara!!X2 Sho/Ten/Ketsu. Has a sequel as a light novel series only (Durarara!! SH). Shoutout to Mikado for having the most badass protagonist character development I’ve seen in a long while.

Apparently Rowling was gonna have Draco and Hermione end up being together at the end of the series as like a plot twist and that she helped Draco through the years but apparently they thought it was too big if a plot twist so Rowling never did it and I'm sad at what could have been. I read a fanfiction similar to that and I really loved it

WHAT??? NONNIE ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? WHYYYYYYYY?!!!!!!

I love Draco and Hermione together they’re like my Harry Potter OTP. I so don’t think Ron and Hermione together I just don’t think they suit each other well.

But I adore Draco and Hermione. I feel (this is all in my shipper mind) that Draco allows for Hermione to nerd out and be more comfortable in her own snark and Slytherin traits. And Hermione allows for Draco to grow more as a person, he’s so flat as the cannon character. But Hermione helps him realise that what his parents taught him wasn’t necessarily true, she allows for his own intelligence and cleverness to come through.

I just think they balance each other a bit more and Draco has the personality and intelligence that matches Hermione’s to the extent that they might argue and bicker a lot but it’s not the fighting I feel Ron and Hermione would be doing constantly.

MY OTP WAS NEARLY CANNON. I WISH IT WAS CANNON BUT ALSO NOT.

I kind of like that Dramione isn’t cannon, I feel like more people are willing to write fanfiction for parings that aren’t cannon. Also I like that there’s so much opportunity in fanfics because Draco and Hermione aren’t cannon, not that people wouldn’t write about them together if they were cannon.

But yeah my feelings aren’t quite sure what to do with this one. Tho that may be because it’s my last exam for the semester today.

chezzmix  asked:

Wait, what was the other ending tho

It was pretty much lil’ Jimmy being even more disagreeable, and him showing us the reason why he hates omnics so much
(It would end on him removing the hair from his face, and revealing the other half is completely destroyed, daily reminder of the Omnic crisis and yadda yadda)

I actually had a lot of different endings for this page!
But then again, I really didn’t want an OC to be on the spotlight in a Genyatta comic ahaha

Oh, don’t mind me, I’m just jumping on the “Daisy totally catches Peach’s bouquet” bandwagon

Let’s be real; Nintendo probably won’t let Peach and Mario get hitched, since that kind of conflict resolution for Odyssey’s (very simple) storyline is way too deep. But let’s assume they DID, keeping the whole “white wedding” theme and everything. The lucky bride would definitely throw the bouquet (sans piranha plants) in her maid of honor’s direction on purpose.

And best man Luigi would have definitely seen it coming.

Lord of Shadows/The Dark Artifices Theory!

*reminder that all comments below are OPINIONS though some may be stated in a matter-of-fact tone, feel free to agree or disagree and comment below*

Let’s Start With SHIPS:
Canon: Jules and Emma, Kieran and Mark, Cristina and Diego, Ty and Kit, Livvy and ? (Have we even met him yet? Or her?)

BUT I don’t believe this will come without conflict! I predict so much conflict between CRISTINA, KIERAN, EMMA, and MARK. Mark literally has three “love” interests, what a guy.
So that’s why I predict that Mark and Emma will not last for long as a fake couple. I know “why lie” ruined our lives so much, but I don’t think Emma agreed. Someone is gonna call Bullshit on their relationship (excuse my french), but I don’t know who it is? Who do you guys think it will be? Someone in the Blackthorn family? Someone at the New York Institute? Arthur? Who knows!

Someone is gonna find out about Emma and Julian, (I also don’t know who that will be) but I don’t think it will be a member of the Blackthorn family because those kids are smart and would have figured it out already. I suppose it could by Livvy, but I doubt she’s a secret keeper.
I think the details behind the parabatai law are going to become more known throughout TDA, especially the ones about the glowing runes. They have been hinting at them since Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy. Simon noticed the glowing runes, the powerful energy that came off of Emma and Julian that seemed abnormal. If he noticed it, others probably have too, but no one thinks anything of it. I don’t believe it will be Jem or Tessa at least until the third book. Although they are not Shadowhunters and have no legal obligations to the clave, I don’t think they’ll admit to knowing until later. They probably figure that Emma is a smart girl who will figure it out on her own.

As for Jules and Emma, I read this interesting quote from Lady Midnight which I believe will apply to my theory. “It isn’t a matter of stopping the clock, but of making it run backward. And for that, the clock will need to be broken.”
We all know that the only way out of a parabatai bond is through death, and since Cassie has basically confirmed the death of a major character, I’m gonna go ahead and say that I honestly believe it will be Julian.
Quote: “you’re a good boy, but it won’t help you in the end.”
Good news though, I don’t think he will be dead for long. I see SOOO many similarities between Jace and Clary and Emma and Jules, and I think that’s why CC includes so many flashbacks of Emma admiring Clace and their relationship. No, I don’t think the Angel will come down and help them out like they did in CoG. And while “true loves kiss” only really works out in mundane fairy tales, I don’t know if it will apply to this situation. But with Clary’s help, and the power of their love and relationship, what if Emma can create a rune to bring him back? Just a thought.
Quote: “Because if Julian died, you wouldn’t try to bring him back?”
A lot of people think it could be Emma, and there are a lot of hints in Lady Midnight about Emma “hurting the family”, but I don’t think it will be her. That quote about Julian still gets to me.
I do think she will make herself crazy (literally) trying to deny her love for Julian. Anyone would! still, I will entertain the theory that it is in fact Emma by adding this quote: “you have no idea what your death will spare your beloved Julian, so think about that as the life leaves your body. In a way, your death is a mercy.”

Enough about Emma and Jules! How do we solve the Cristina/Mark/Kieran dilemma!
Unfortunately, there are a lot of theories out there that Kieran will die. I hate to admit that I agree with that theory. Although this might make you guys sad, I think it will be good to see Mark without a love interest. Here’s why: Mark feels indebted to Kieran. I don’t think there’s real love there, maybe there could be, but not while Mark thinks that he owes Kieran or while Kieran thinks that Mark owes him. They need to address this, and if they don’t….. I genuinely think Mark would be better off alone.
Jaime Rosales will make a return in LOS! I think this will stir up a ton of drama with Cristina and Diego. Especially after Cristina learned that while Diego’s intentions were never to hurt her, Jaime could care less. I don’t see why Diego would be a bad match for Cristina! He’s PERFECT! But I believe Cristina will think she’s settling by choosing Diego. So he’s gotta prove himself. C'mon Diego! The rest of the characters in the book have fallen in love with his looks. We can’t see his looks, so I don’t doubt that CC is gonna add some mushy gushy & romantic scenes between them, especially if they’re canon.

I feel SO bad for Livvy, she gets no appreciation, and deserves a storyline. I hope she gets a love interest or at least a parabatai (Kit???) she is gonna feel like such a third wheel between Kit and Ty, so I hope she can step up and create a role for herself.

DRU! CC says that she will have a significant crush. I predict it will be Kit or Jaime, and I don’t see how it could be anyone else. Thoughts?

Tavvy, baby… I don’t know what will happen to him but he was already traumatized in Lady Midnight so I don’t predict anything bad! All my love to that cute lil bean.

KIT AND TY I KNOW YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING IM SORRY. Ok so Ty is gonna be all frazzled because FEELINGS and kit is gonna be like THIS IS SO OVERWHELMING, so im predicting a huge fight between them before they become a couple bc TENSION, and I see Livvy being the mediator. Also, Jem and Tessa encourage Emma to be a mentor to Kit, I don’t know if that’s gonna happen so I guess we will have to see!! Anyway, my kitty heart is happy because i love them. Kit and Livvy as parabatai? Will Ty go to the scholomance? (I think yes I’m sorry guys) that way, Livvy and ty both get what they want. Life could also be shitty to Ty and Liv and neither of them get what they want, but let’s be real, in CC’s world, happy things happen for people like them, so I have high hopes.

The trans character? DIANA. I know people have noted that she is sketchy because of her brother, but her “brother” is dead. Here’s a quote from lady midnight: “[Catarina Loss] She’s a nurse, a nurse to mundanes, how do you think I found out about..” “She didn’t tell you about me, Malcolm.” Hmm.. Hmm… Whether it’s her or not, I’m so glad the trans community is getting representation! It’s well deserved. Thank you CC!

As for the major plot twist at the end of Lord of Shadows, I don’t think it’s Emma and Jules. The major plot twist at the end of Lady Midnight happens to Emma and Jules, and I don’t think CC has the heart to hit us harder when it comes to their relationship. Although of course I could be wrong, I think it might be with Ty and Kit, or Mark and Kieran. It might not even be about ships at all so I guess we will have to see.

I’m also excited to see the role that Jem and Tessa play in the dark artifices series! I think the fact that they haven’t played much of a role in Emma’s life will put her at a severe disadvantage. Also, why can no one remember their wedding? I am excited to find out.

Love to you all! I can’t wait until May 23rd when we see if I’m right or wrong, and 2018 to see if I was really really wrong or maybe even right!
I want to know your opinions, so PLEASE share them below!

anonymous asked:

ooh the character lmao

okay so this has been in my inbox forever because i haven’t been sure how to answer it but here goes -

i don’t hate cress, i actually like her quite a bit! however, i really despise the way the fandom puts her on a pedestal and acts as if she’s the Most Amazing Character to end all other characters

like….. she’s cute and nice and #relatable but also she’s really not a very unique character like i could name ten characters very similar to her right off the top of my head. her arcs are really not very surprising. you could see exactly where they were going from the beginning and yeah, the lunar chronicles retells fairytales. it’s not going to have plot twist upon plot twist, but hoo boy, the fandom acts as if cress fell from the heavens and is god’s gift to mankind!

all the edits for her consist of the same, like, ten or eleven pictures, so obviously enough content as been made for her that it’s a struggle to find new stuff to make, and yet people just keep on making the same stuff over and over. and i wouldn’t care, because hey! have fun with your favorite character! but it comes at the expense of content for the other badass female characters which two of are nonwhite and the other is not traditionally feminine & is described as chubby AND beautiful which is not common for fiction, especially young adult.

i don’t hate cress, i just hate the way the fandom eats everything about her up because she’s skinny, white, and in a relationship with a hot guy

I just finished reading this book and I am hysterical. This book, this right here^, is the best thing I have read in a long time. I read it in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down and walk away. I stayed up until the crack of dawn to read this. And I have NO REGRETS.

What is it?
‘One Of Us Is Lying’ is a ‘who done it’ novel by Karen M. McManus, and is her debut novel. Five students are put into detention, and only four of them come out. During detention, Simon the OUTCAST is murdered. The other four students are murder suspects. It’s written in first person and follows the four other students. I think this is amazingly done. Each time a new POV is introduced it’s written with the Name of the character, the Date and the Time, as though it’s a statement, i.e an alibi. Can’t say anymore without ruining the whole book.

Incredible plot
It’s not what I expected. It’s BETTER than my expectations. I thought it was brilliantly done, and I generally had NO IDEA who killed Simon for a good portion of the book. Then my mind put three and five and eight and twelve together and I worked it out, but this book is plot twist after plot twist. Some are easier to guess than others (and if you read it/already read it, you’ll know which ones I’m talking about).

Amazing characters
I loved ALL the main characters. They all had such distinctive voices and even though they are the ‘stereotypical’ ‘nerd, jock, criminal, popular beauty’ characters (which is highlighted by the author on the inside of this book) they all defy those 'typical’ labels, and I love that.

This book is EXACTLY what I wanted to read, and I did have a little cry at the end because I frigging loved this book and I didn’t want it to end. Alas! It had to end eventually, I just wish I could take the reading experience away and do it again.

If you haven’t read it: go read it. Frigging fabulous👌🏻

Hi, it sounds like you’re in a bit of a bind!

Firstly, you can look up the tag “writing prompts” on my blog and it will pull up lots of prompts to give you inspiration. You can also search the tag “character bank” and it will come up with character prompts. (You can also just click the links, and they’ll take you to their respective tags on my blog.) Also, here’s a post giving ten possible ways to beat writers’ block.

Here’s an ask I answered that describes the anatomy of a story – just so you know the general formula of most stories. If you then need help developing a plot, this post will help you outline your plot. If, after developing your plot, you feel it isn’t thick enough or needs to be longer/more eventful, this ask I answered on subplots may help you.

If you employ a plot twist anywhere in your story, specifically at the end, here’s an ask I answered on plot twists that explains them and should help you. If you need help with foreshadowing, this ask I answered should help with that.

If you’re having trouble with characterization, this ask I answered and this post should help – both have a lot of different resources for creating 3-D characters.

Those are the generalities – I can’t give you help with specific issues without keeping both of us here all night. I really hope this helps! If you need anything else, feel free to ask. - @authors-haven

the problem with ouat

So in my opinion the show has two main problems:

1)The writers have good ideas(for example turning the Savior into the Dark One, spliting Regina ,the fate of all saviors) but they  constantly want to one up the audience. So they don’t tell their stories in a way that makes sense, they think about a new plot twist after the last plot twists and in the end this doesn’t add up.It’s ok for the audience to guess once in a while where the story is headed. The writers should be original but this isn’t the way

2) They don’t care about the most relationships on the show(and i don’t mean only the romantic ones for example Snow/Emma, Emma/Henry ,Regina/Emma,Gold/Belle) but  focus too much on others (captain swan)and the show ends up beeing just fanservice. That drives the GA away, it hurts the ratings and the quality of the show. The solution is simple, just give screen time to all the main cast and don’t play favorites with some because of their fans

anonymous asked:

Are you Norwegian? Did you follow season 1 when was aired? How was the reception?Like, who was the favorite characters, was Eva loved by the audience , people were happy or sad with the end (broke up scene) and stuff like that

Yes, I am Norwegian from Oslo born and raised.
I started watching Skam around when the fourth episode of Skam had aired on television. (Which makes me fell like a fandom grandma)

How was the reception? It was everywhere. You literally couldn’t turn without hearing someone talking about Skam. That was why I started watching it because my friends were talking about it 24/7. All the episodes where analyzed and discussed in the newspaper.

Who was the favorite character? Oh, Noora by far. I remember headlines like “Top Noora moments” or “This is why we love Skam-Noora”, “How to get the Noora look”. People dressed like her and got her haircut.

Did people like Eva? Yes, I think most people liked Eva.

If people were happy with the ending? People praised the ending for being realistic and beautifully shot. BUT OMG THE SHOOK THE ISAK PLOT TWIST WAS. All you people who watched s3 first will never understand the insanity all the Norwegian Skam chat rooms where, people were literally screaming. It was the best plot twist of all time because as I said at the time many people expected a Eva/Isak thing to happen and then we get that new plot twist that made a lot of sense.

The girls are the villains

I said this before and I’ll say it again.
They vilify everyone and destroy whoever gets in their way. That’s why it appears as if they always make the same mistakes. We are seeing everything through the eyes of the liars.
Someone knows the truth about them and that is prolly Ezra who baits them the whole time because it makes great book material.
He prolly gets off on seeing how they try to save their own asses over and over again. I think we only think these girls are dumb but they are actually really smart because they always get away with their crimes. They will prolly get rid of Ezra in the end too.
Plot twist #1: Ezra is the villain! He has been all along.
Plot twist #2: The girls are the actual bad guys.
Tragic “love” story and “sometimes the villains win.”

Or I’m having too much hope for this shit show. #hopebreedseternalmisery
