playing with food playing

anonymous asked:

Please help. My dog doesn't have any interests in toys and doesn't like to wrestle or chase me. She is very interested in food, but I don't know how to physically exercise her. We go on walks, but they don't do much for her. What can I do to exercise her?

You could try tossing food for her to chase, putting food inside a toy so she’s rewarded for playing with it (either in a food toy she plays with by herself or something like a lotus ball where you open it for her and feed her directly), using a target to shape her running and reward for food, hiding food around the house or yard for her to sniff out, making a dig box so she can dig up treats and bones, or shape her to retrieve. Most dogs taught retrieving through shaping and capturing end up enjoying it as a game later on, so it’s worth putting in the foundation work.

Songbird

Molly Hooper can’t sing.

Sherlock Holmes is an excellent musician with near-perfect pitch and he is therefore very aware that Molly Elizabeth Alison Hooper. Cannot. Sing.

She can’t. She simply hasn’t the capacity.

If a single note were to find its way inside Molly’s head it would die from loneliness and neglect, post haste, probably taking some much-needed brain cells with it-

Molly Hooper is no songbird and she knows it.
