Do you have any advice for someone who's really interested in making music but.. isn't very good so playing instruments, but had them available. Um. And also doesn't really have the best grasp on technology.

im really really bad at instruments + technology as well !! i just play around on Garageband . It has taken a LOT of practice to get to the point that I am at now , though.

Wonderful Boy (Jackunzel Song)

Silly little Jackunzel-inspired song. I recently discovered the drums in garageband so I decided to play around with them for this song. (Hope you all enjoy it!)

Lyrics:

The way he smiles is so debonair
I love the way he styles his messy hair
The way he hugs me. The way he loves me
The way he’s always so carefree
I almost can’t imagine how this could’ve happened
It almost feels like it’s all a dream

The sun is shining
The birds are singing
And I’m jumping up for joy
Everything is magic
And I’m so ecstatic
I’ve found such a wonderful boy

He always knows just how to make my day
He’ll take me dancin’ and we’ll spin and we’ll sway
I just need one kiss one silly sweet kiss
And I’m in a world of pure bliss
If I could have just one wish my one wish would be this
To always have him right by my side

The sun is shining
The birds are singing
And I’m jumping up for joy
Everything is magic
And I’m so ecstatic
I’ve found such a wonderful boy

He tells me that I’m too uptight
To let my hair down if it feels right
And, oh boy, does it feel right

The sun is shining
The birds are singing
And I’m jumping up for joy
Everything is magic
And I’m so ecstatic
I’ve found such a wonderful boy

!

hello

exciting news. a new collaborative creative opportunity.

Soon I will be starting a podcast where musicians of any skill level can submit their own original works. It will be a platform for people to share their music with at least a small audience and have it very lightly discussed, without the stress of fighting for attention, or the feeling that you’re just throwing your hard work into the void of the internet.

It will truly be open to everyone. You can submit if you’ve been playing classical violin for seven years, or you’ve been messing around with Garageband for a day. And anything in between. Quality control is relaxed too, with recordings made on a built-in laptop microphone or cell phone being just as acceptable as songs recorded in a studio. High Fi? Low Fi? No Fi? It’s all Fi[ne]!

If you’re interested in submitting an original song, or you’re interested in listening to the podcast, please send me a message and reblog this post to help me gauge and spread initial interest.

I’m looking forward to hearing everyone’s music.

Also, I would very much appreciate suggestions for what to name the show. Currently I have no ideas!
