In, um, “honor” of Corey Crawford almost getting into a fight with Jonathan Quick, let me bring this back – Crawford (in the black as part of the Norfolk Admirals) vs. Al Montoya in the AHL in 2007.

It’s always the quiet ones.

All I want for Christmas is you - Corey Crawford - requested

***im guessing someone loved my Christmas one shot I posted yesterday so they wanted another one, so here it is (:

Corey’s Point Of view

The cool winter breeze brushed onto my arms, causing me to shiver. My arms spread across the bed expecting to come in contact with her soft, petite body but instead, the cold mattress.

I slowly open one eye.

The sheets were in dismay after her sleep and the curtains opened revealing the pouring rain. The window was slightly open, all I could hear were the sound of raindrops splattering onto the pavement as the cool breeze swiftly entered the room. The raindrops made streaks across the window, as if they were racing each other. I shifted uncomfortably in our bed and slowly got up. As I was heading to the kitchen, I stretched my arms above my head.

The sound of her humming and the smell of pancakes filled the air. As I entered the kitchen, a small smile played on my lips. Her long, dark hair was pulled up into a messy bun that laid on top of her head, she had a plain white t-shirt that clung perfectly onto her body, revealing her curves, while her black sweatpants were hung loosely below her waist, slightly showing the skin of her waist. She’s still gorgeous even if she isn’t trying.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, startling her.

“Corey!” She jokingly smacked my arm, I smirked. “You scared me.” She laughed, continuing to flip the pancakes.

Her laugh was music to my ears. I inhaled her scent deeply. Lilac and vanilla, one of the many things I love about her. I slowly started kissing behind her ear and left a trail of kisses behind her neck.

“Merry Christmas, [Y/N].” I whispered into her ear, sending chills down her spine.

She turned off the stove and faced me. I looked at her perfect, plump lips and leaned towards her. Just as I was doing so, she placed a finger on my lips causing me to stop my tracks. She ever so gently, brushed her soft lips onto mine

“Merry Christmas, Corey.” She breathed onto my lips.

I sighed loudly while she giggled.
“You gotta stop teasing me.” I groaned.

“Well, you gotta stop scaring me.” She smiled, softly poking at my nose.

“You’re so adorable.” I laughed.

“No you are.” She cooed, slightly pinching my cheek. She let go of my grasp and headed to the dining room, while I happily followed her.

“[Y/N], my mom called, she said that the Christmas dinner starts at 6!” I yelled through the closet door.

“Alright, what time is it?”

I looked at my reflection in the mirror and adjusted my red tie. As I was doing so, [Y/N] emerged from the closet. I admired her in awe, she wore a red spaghetti strapped dress that flows up to her knees, while supporting black pumps that made her my eye level, the silver heart shaped pendant I gave her on Valentine’s Day, and silver earrings that were in a shape of a rose.
She stood next to me, obviously not noticing me drooling over her, and applied some black eyeliner and mascara. After that, she fixed her hair that was loosely curled and applied light red lipstick onto her lips, taunting me

“So, what do you think? Too much?” She nervously asked. I gave her a ‘are you crazy?’ look. “I’m gonna go change again.” She groaned.

I laughed and grabbed her hand “You look perfect.”

She gave me a small smile, “Well, I should be the one saying that, you look perfect.” She fixed my tie, while biting her lip.

Which I might add, turned me on. Get a hold of yourself, Crawford! Control your hormones.

“C’mon, we better get going.” She let go of my grasp and grabbed her clutch. As she was walking towards the door, I let my eyes roam around her.

I couldn’t help but notice her hips swinging side to side as she was walking, which turned me on even more. She suddenly turned around, snapping my eyes back to her hazel ones.

“Corey, were you listening to me?” She questioned me, putting one of her hands on her hip.

“Um, you said something about um..” I trailed off “The presents?”

“Oh! I guess you were listening. So, did you put the presents in the car?” She asked, continuing to walk out the door. I sighed in relief.

“Yeah, I did!” I said, following her to the car.

Your Point Of View

“[Y/N]!” Sylvia, Corey’s mom, embraced me with a huge hug as we entered her house.

I admire Sylvia so much. She’s always kind and loving towards anybody she meets.

“Hey hot mama!” I laughed. She wore a nice little black cocktail dress that supported a red bow and black pumps while her hair was curled to perfection.

“Thank you. You look gorgeous!” She smiled as she led me into the house, not bothering to greet Corey.

“Um, mom..?” Corey coughed, I giggled.

“Oh you know I was kidding!” Sylvia joked as she gave him a hug.

Corey’s house was filled with Corey’s relatives, from his grandparents cooking to, kids running around the house.

“Corey!” Kelly, Corey’s little cousin, attacked him with a huge hug.

“Kelz!” Corey’s eyes lit up, I smiled. Kelly had on a poofy dark red dress and matching ballet flats.

While Kelly was hugging Corey, Kelly’s eyes widened as soon as she saw me. “[Y/N]!” She automatically let go of Corey and clung onto me.

“Hey sweetie!” I grinned as I hugged her back.

Corey crouched down to Kelly’s eye level “Doesn’t [Y/N] look beautiful?” I could feel the apples of my cheeks turn bright red.

“Me? What about Kelly?” I smiled, letting go of her. She giggled and ran back to her cousins.

After Corey introduced me to his other family members, I admired Sylvia’s house. She had hung tinsel around the house and had a big, elaborate Christmas tree that was decorated perfectly. While in the dining room, she set the table with a red and green table cloth that gave off a Holiday vibe and had her finest silverware and white dishes set.

“Corey! [Y/N]!” Trevor, Corey’s dad, called us over. “You’re just in time! We’re just about to start karaoke.” he said.

“Oh no, my throat isn’t doing so well.” Corey refused.

“C’mon, babe. For me?” I begged him, giving him a puppy dog face.

“No, that’s not gonna work on me this time.” He gave me a stern look.

“Pleeeeeeaaaaase?” I begged.

Corey sighed “Fine, but only.. if you sing first.” A smirk played on Corey’s face.

“I, um, well… fine.” I stuttered.

“Alright! Here’s the song book.” Corey handed me a book and started setting up the karaoke machine.

As I was frantically flipping through the pages, Corey made himself comfortable and sat down on the couch, smirking right at me.

After what seemed like forever, I decided to choose ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ by Mariah Carey. Corey punched in the numbers and the music started blasting through the house, grabbing everyone’s attention. I took a deep breath and starting singing.

“I-I-I, don’t want a lot for Christmas,
There’s just one I need.”

I heard a bunch of whistles and ow’s coming from various family members, making me a little bit more confident.

“I don’t care about the presents,
Underneath the Christmas tree.
I just want you for my o-o-own,
Mo-o-ore than you could ever know.
Make my wish come tru-u-u-u-ue.
All I want for Christma-a-as is, yo-o-o-ou.”

For the rest of the song, I sat on Corey’s lap the whole time, considering I already knew the song by heart.

I finished the last note of the song, everybody whistle and clapped.

“Thank you.” I blushed. ”Your turn.” I said out of breath, handing Corey back the microphone.

He happily kissed me on the cheek and took the microphone

After all the presents and the amazing dinner, the kids were playing with their toys while the adults were still sitting at the dinner table, talking and laughing.

As I was admiring the small specks of snow drifting onto the pavement, I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around me, giving me warmth. “Look up.” I followed Corey’s gaze, leading to a mistletoe hanging perfectly above us.

I turned and faced Corey, gazing into his beautiful chocolate eyes while a small smile formed onto Corey’s lips. He slowly grabbed my face and kissed me with such beauty and passion.

I felt a flash come off.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Sylvia with a camera in her hand and tears in her eyes while walking away from us.

I ran my hands through his soft hair while he caressed my waist.

“Merry Christmas.” Corey whispered onto my lips.

“I didn’t give you your present yet.” I frowned, while Corey chuckled.

“That’s okay. You’re my present.” He smiled. I felt a blush creep upon my face.

“Merry Christmas.” I reconnected our lips together, not letting go of him.

I bumped my hand into something cold and hard as I was shifting in my sleep, which startled me. My eyes snapped open, revealing that I was still at Sylvia’s house, wearing the same dress I wore last night.

I looked to the side expecting to see him but instead, a framed photo of Corey and I, kissing last night, laying there perfectly.

I felt someone lay next to me, trailing kisses behind my neck. I smiled, he only does that to me.

Corey reconnected our lips together, moving perfectly in sync.
“I love you.”
