planet in astrology

Sun Signs

Your BASIC traits.

Aries: A natural born leader, willing to try anything. Usually takes on more than they can handle because they think they can handle it. Will not take no for an answer. Dramatic af. Likes making jokes, but doesn’t like when people make jokes about them.

Taurus: Stubborn but hates admitting it. Protective of their family, always willing to help. Can appear a bit pretentious at times. The best sense of humor, and quite an overachiever. A bit insecure when it comes to falling in love.

Gemini: The best communicators of the zodiac. They have a lot of dreams and overwhelm themselves with wanting to achieve all of them. Really sarcastic but usually with good intentions. Can be pushy. Loves learning new things.

Cancer: Emotional as hell, but also so much more than that. Incredibly family oriented. Can appear a bit selfish but it’s only because they think they know what is best for everyone. Usually hella organized. More of a perfectionist than any other sign. They remember every tiny detail about you. Loves cuddling.

Leo: Can come off a bit prideful. Hates showing weakness in any form, likely not a mushy person in the slightest. VERY business savvy, incredible common sense. One of the best senses of humor of the whole zodiac. Constantly moving on to the next best thing. Loves spoiling their friends.

Virgo: The smartest of the zodiac. These people are the most likely to obsess on things. Not actually all neat freaks! Usually quite cluttered. Can be slightly controlling but it’s only because they want to see those they love succeed. Gives out too many chances.

Libra: Is happiest when they’re taking care of those they love. Is usually the center of attention in a crowd, whether they mean to be or not. Struggles sharing deep emotions but wants to help you with yours. One of the biggest dreamers.

Scorpio: Not all of them are moody and dark, but all are intense. Usually thinks about intimacy more than they let on. Can be selfish but usually unintentionally. Masters of manipulation. You can always tell a Scorpio by their eyes.

Sagittarius: Like all fire signs, constantly on the move. A bit restless. Uses humor to disguise their feelings. Likely has unusual options and enjoys taboo things. Love is the most confusing thing to them. Can turn from hot to cold in a relationship in an instant.

Capricorn: Can be found making people laugh. Doesn’t like talking about their feelings, but gets upset if they feel you don’t care enough to ask. Never forgets those they love, holds on to things they learn from their relationships. Tough love is their thing. Ambitious but can take their sweet time getting there.

Aquarius: Often labeled as the weird ones, but one of the smarter signs. Loves learning. Obsessed with love but struggles with it. A natural flirt at all times. Can be incredibly detached and insensitive at times. Doesn’t mind looking silly at times to make people laugh.

Pisces: Uses sarcasm and often makes jokes that are surprisingly dark. Loves working with their hands. Emotional, and is usually the sign that is the most hard on themselves. Very smart and only happy if they’re doing something they love career wise.

brallie/solar system theory

this is mostly just for shits and giggles but i found a nice similarity

their timeline labeled by the main traits of planets in astrology (which i don’t believe in but nothing in life matters anyway so why not enjoy the pleasantly nonsensical things)

Mercury/COMMUNICATION - let there be light! but also communication! in the beginning, one thing that made brallie stand out was their immediate exchange of communication and trust in one another.

Venus/LOVE - we all know the heaven that was the 1a finale kiss and their 1b secret rendezvous. tis was a pure, sacred time, truly showing how many lengths they’d go to for one another and how thin they would let themselves be spread in order to see each other. this of course sprinkles throughout the continuing seasons with their various kisses/admittance/attitudes/the holiest sex scene to ever be shot and broadcast on modern television.

Mars/WAR - the back and forth with their family, especially their mothers. the turmoil they faced during private moments because of it, the grief they encountered while trying their best to keep their heads above water, and finally, their eventual collapse.

Jupiter/EXPANSION - picking up the pieces and moving on to supposedly better, more stable people and places. while this did give both of them new experiences and stories to tell and learn from, this time was increasingly awkward for everyone involved who was previously enmeshed in their relationship.

Saturn/AUTHORITY - keeping themselves thoroughly restrained, particularly in the aftermath of the 2a kiss. dictating their every move around one another and making sure no further slip ups could be counted for. more so self-inflicted than brought upon by any family member.

Uranus/ECCENTRICITY - after recovering from the tension throughout the last leg of season two, things seemed to fall back into their place. the mexico trip would be the peak of their friendship in this season, showing how strong their relationship still is and how much low key tension there still is to boil over later.

Neptune/MYTH - following their night in the cabin and the adoption, secrets made a triumphant return to the adams foster household and of course they never shy away from brandon and callie. denying the night and inherently their entire spectrum of feelings for the other, they hide the facts and it’s obvious: what happens in a cabin in the woods stays in a cabin in the woods.

Pluto/REBIRTH - we haven’t gotten much interaction between the two in season four, but what we have gotten is still on the path of proving how unwavering their friendship stands no matter what, and i don’t doubt in the fifth and possibly (i hope to GOD) final season that all signs will point to the rebirth of their romantic relationship based on the subtle ques in season four. i’ll of course update this portion when season five has wrapped and aired in its entirety, but for now this is my stance.

also known as Tailwort, Bee’s Bread and Starflower

  • Astrological: Leo

  • Tarot: The Hierophant

In Spellwork:

  • courage, cheerfulness, protection spells, money, ensuring domestic tranquility, uncovers dishonesty, luck

Powdered and dried, the root can be used in an incense or infused in tea. Borage is known for lifting your spirits, and used in a tea, will enhance your psychic awareness as well as helping with feelings of vulnerability. Borage is pretty when sprinkled in your bath and is very good for boosting courage. Eating in a salad helps with courage and ends melancholy.

Carrying the fresh blossoms will bring courage, while putting one in a buttonhole will protect you while outdoors.

Use in money and business spells. Sprinkle crushed leaves around workplace for inspiration.

In Hoodoo, borage flowers are thought to bring domestic tranquility to the household. Sprinkle in 4 corners of the property, 4 corners of the house, 4 corners of each room, and 4 corners of the kitchen table restore harmony. You can also place dried borage  in the corners of a room and some under a rug in the middle of the room where most of the family fights happen.

Put fresh blossoms on an altar to bring luck and power to spells.

They look nice as garnishes when frozen in an ice cube, especially if you have a suitor. According to folklore, if the person drinking is someone you would like to marry, it will give them the courage to propose.

Using this herb as a condiment/garnish in food is fine, but be careful not to overdo it. Borage contains alkaloids believed to harm the liver when taken in large amounts. Comfrey has the same alkaloid but borage only has 5% of the alkaloids that comfrey does. If you have any past/current liver problems, you should stay away from borage.

Although, the seeds do not contain this alkaloid and is great to add to your food if you have problems with dry eyes.

Borage can be used externally by being used as a poultice for inflammatory swellings.

Borage has been cultivated since at least 1440 in Castille, Spain and was brought to Europe by the Moors.

The word ‘borage’ comes form the Arabic name for this plant, “abu arak”, “father of sweat” because it induces sweating. A tincture for sweating in the Mexican botanical medicine formulary, consists of equal parts red poppy petals, borage petals, elder flowers and violet flowers. The celtic name for borage, ‘barrach’, means ‘man of courage’, which focuses on borages psychological effects.

Borage was eaten by Roman soldiers before battle for courage. Medieval knights embroidered the flower on scarves, while celtic warriors drank wine flavoured with borage for the same reason.

Considered to lift melancholy in Elizabethan England. According to Culpeper, it expels pensiveness and melancholy, and the flowers when candied/jellied can comfort the heart and spirits of those who are sick from consumption or “from the passions of the heart.”

When the leaves are burned they spark and pop because of the mineral content.

**I would recommend doing some of your own research before using this plant medicinal purposes.**

The dark side of The Signs
  • Aries: Reckless to the point of disaster. By the time they figure out they've done or said too much, it's too late and the damage is already done.
  • Taurus: Unkind and unforgiving to those who once held their trust. They can be so blind to reason and to explanation. They will throw away people they love just to prove a point.
  • Gemini: You never know what you're going to get out of them. One day they'll be ready to help you and love you, they next they'll tell you never to speak to them again.
  • Cancer: They love blaming every problem they encounter on others. Because someone hated them so much, they had to have wished this on them. At least, that's what they're thinking.
  • Leo: They become extremely frustrated and hostile when they don't get what they want. They are convinced they deserve to have it, so if it means they need to break out the fangs, they will.
  • Virgo: They think they know better than you; and they'll tell you all about it. Did you really think you did something well? Virgo will explain just how to perfect it, and how they "could've done it better."
  • Libra: They aren't as harmless as they appear. The worst of them will try to eliminate whatever gets into their way. They don't care how "good" your intentions are- you're wasting their time, and they will most likely find a way to get you out of their way.
  • Scorpio: They don't forget. If you come back around years later trying to be close again, they will guilt trip you and then send you back. You don't want to fuck with these guys.
  • Sagittarius: They don't care about your feelings. If they have something to say, they're going to say it. And if you scream and cry, they're ultimately convinced it's not on them.
  • Capricorn: They will watch, and judge, every single thing you do. If they hate you a little extra, they'll fuck it up and get you in trouble for your accidents, too.
  • Aquarius: They will completely shut you out when they're bored of you. Don't expect an explanation (or any kind of friendly one,) or any sort of "mercy." They'll just sneer at you and walk away.
  • Pisces: They will lie right through their teeth to spare your feelings, and then go and do something they know would break your heart. Only for the pleasure of the moment.
How to Read Your Birth Chart

The Sun: The Sun speaks about your ego, the ‘I Am’, what drives you to to be who you are and how you identify yourself. In other words, your sun sign reflects who you are all the time, regardless of who you’re with or what you’re doing.

The Moon: The moon speaks about your emotional self and what we need to feel secure, safe and nurtured. We go to our moon when we need to restore ourselves. The moon sign tends to be the ruling force over your decision-making.

The Ascendant/Rising Sign: This sign represents how others see you as. When we first meet someone, we’re likely to meet their rising sign. The ascendant sign changes from hour to hour so try to be as accurate as possible when naming your birth time.

The Descendant Sign: The descendant sign shows the type of people you are the most attracted by, you easily get along well with and you are most likely to start a love relationship with.

The Inner Planets: The inner planets include Mercury, Venus and Mars. They can describe core personality traits, needs and desires. Mercury rules your mind and communication, Venus rules your love life, and Mars rules your actions and overall energy.

The Outer Planets: The outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. They reflect what will make your life special. Jupiter rules luck and progress, Saturn rules your fears and self discipline, Uranus rules change, Neptune rules dreams and how you heal, and Pluto rules your power and transformation. The placements can suggest what you have to look forward to these areas.

Sun through the houses

Sun in the 1st house:  With the sun in the first house, great effort is put into creating and maintaining a good self image. The way you are perceived by others is paramount to first-house sun people. Accept that you need to be a leader or an innovator, and go for it, but be careful not to be overbearing with others. A sunny disposition is generally attributed to this placement and a positive confident attitude is normally displayed.

Sun in the 2nd house With a second-house sun, a person’s identity is developed and expressed by defining personal values and accumulating objects of value. You have the ability to attract money and resources, but you can’t always hang on to it or it doesn’t bring you the happiness you expected.   Avoid over-identifying with what you have. Take pride in the solid and secure foundations that you build, as well as the lasting relationships you aim to maintain, while being careful to avoid possessiveness.

Sun in the 3rd house: Gemini, the natural ruler of this house, gives Geminian overtones to all traits. You is driven to learn, explore and enjoy their immediate environment.  You have an uncontainable desire to acquire knowledge. You relish in taking various pieces of knowledge and putting them together like puzzles that need solving. You’re observant, optimistic, flexible and you’re a superb communicator, able to relate ideas clearly to others. You would make make an excellent teacher, lecturer or writer.

Sun in the 4th house: The chart holder with a fourth-house sun is not happy unless their home life is happy. Because the fourth house can be deep and emotional, the sun here has to work extra hard to liven and inspire things. They thrive and excel in a home that is active, alive, open and loving. If they aren’t in this type of home environment, they will not feel invigorated about their life. They will strive to make the changes necessary to give them the home and family life they need.

Sun in the 5th house: The sun is comfortable in its own house. In fact, it is driven to shine here. At its best, it creates a chart holder who is confident about who they are and how they affect others. You want to be noticed for your unique and special qualities and your creativity. You are happiest when you are expressing yourself in a special way and attention comes your way as a result. You have a flair for drama and/or sports. You are proud of your fun-loving attitude towards life. As you demonstrate your ability to shine, avoid grabbing center stage all of the time.

Sun in the 6th house: The work that you do, and the services that you offer, are very important to your sense of identity. In order to feel good about yourself, you need to be busy with daily activities and to produce work you can be proud of. Focus on finding a suitable and rewarding avenue for expressing this part of you, being extra careful to choose an occupation in which you can express yourself. You are sensitive to criticism about the work you do, and you work best when you can create your own schedule.

Sun in the 7th house: Libran traits are accented with the Sun in this house. You take pride in your ability to negotiate, and to establish harmony in your relationships. It is important to you to have a partner, as you feel incomplete without one. You can be fickle about partners because new partners inspire them and allow them to see themselves in new ways. You’re self-confident, popular and have favorable dealings with your superiors. You’re good at public relations, sales and promotions.

Sun in the 8th house: You have a great urge to go farther or deeper into life every step of the way. You want to experience more, and your desires are both powerful and intense. It is hard for you to find satisfaction in common experiences, and you have magnetic power if you choose to use it wisely. You are fascinated with what lies under the surface, and at some point in your life, self-improvement is a big interest. You are attracted to unexplored or taboo areas of life, and you avoid all things superficial.

Sun in the 9th house:  You have a deep need to understand the world around you. You have high ideals and you have your eye on what’s on the horizon. You are looking ahead, and at times can seem quite restless. You are proud of your knowledge and of your morals. Be sure to avoid self-righteousness in your enthusiasm to share your knowledge. When used correctly, you are a tolerant, adventurous, and curious person, and you want to see the best in people and in life

Sun in the 10th house: The traits of Capricorn are much in evidence. Your career takes on greater than average importance. You feel the need to improve your career and is usually successful and involves your whole personality, possibly at the expense of your marriage and friendships. You’re ambitious and intrigued by power, which may make you too authoritative and dictatorial. You’re a leader in whatever you do and people pay attention to you. You may become arrogant or rebellious if you let that attention go to your head.

Sun in the 11th house: The Aquarian traits are stressed here and you simply want to do your own thing. You have many clear-cut objectives and usually achieve what you set out to do. You have a strong desire to gain recognition through mental achievements and inventions. You have strong organizing abilities and are usually a leader in any group you are involved with– societies and groups are an important part of your life. You’re apt to be a humanitarian with concern for universal human dignity and brotherhood

Sun in the 12th house: You have a tendency to be introspective and need some space and seclusion in order to pull up your strength. You may avoid the spotlight, and if you do find yourself in a public role, you tend to hide your true self behind that role!  However the sun sheds his light on this house giving the native zero worries under stressful situation. No matter what the problem is, the native will sleep sound, and will be able to see all the secret dealing happening behind or against him or her. This also can take a native to foreign lands.

The planets in our solar system shift into direct motion (opposed to retrograde) today, and stay that way until February 6th. It’s so very rare that at least one planet isn’t in retrograde at any one point! This means we have the perfect opportunity being given to us by the universe to get our affairs in order, to move into the flow of what we want and what we dream of, to flourish and blossom into the versions of ourselves that we would love to be. Theres no point digging in our heels and resisting through fear because our lives will still be happening around us…now is the time to take the leap, throw ourselves in head first, communicate our desires, know ourselves and each other…

How exciting :)

Sun in the Houses
  • wherever the sun is, it brings a vitality and focus. they fulfill their ego through that area. it's almost like having the sun in the sign that house rules, but not quite. here we go!
  • sun in the first house: the motto for this house is "i am," and i can't think of a better descriptor for the sun here. these people exist in whatever sign their rising is, and don't hesitate to actually exist.
  • sun in the 2nd house: objects. self worth. money. "i am what i have," and that includes mental shit too. they've got their life together (or will when they grow into their sun).
  • sun in the third house: "i think" is an accurate phrase to describe these people. they are quick. quick witted, quick thinkers. they are so funny!however, they often do not think before they speak.
  • sun in the fourth house: if i described these people in one word, it would be nostalgic. these people are very family oriented and would die for them.they can be very emotional.
  • sun in the fifth house: since this house is ruled by leo, the sun shines here! these people are creative, fun and romantic. however, just like leo, they can get caught up in their pride and ego.
  • sun in the sixth house: "i'll fix that." these people are helpers at heart. many of them will say that they want to fix you-and while this is a bit rude, they do not mean it that way. nervousness is their baseline mood.
  • sun in the seventh house: the seventh house is what we reject of ourselves. here we reject our ego, in a way. people with this placement are the kind to find themselves in other people.
  • sun in the eighth house: this house is ruled by scorpio. it signifies sex, death, change, and the occult. many people with the sun here are ones to be interested in witchcraft, astrology, things of that sort. they like to know everything about everyone else, but hate to let anyone know anything about themselves. they are great at making people feel like they know a lot about them when they really know almost nothing.
  • sun in the ninth house: these people are what you would call opinionated, or preachy. they know what they know, and want everyone else to know it too. they are the philosophers, the thinkers, and they have set high morals for themselves.
  • sun in the tenth house: this is another good place for the sun to be, in my opinion. the tenth house is also known as your MC, which is many things, but one is your public persona. people see your ego when they first notice you with this placement. the tenth is also your career. people with the sun here have a great poker face and seem very strong (i also notice their amazing bone structure).
  • sun in the 11th house: these are your humanitarians. these people are popular seemingly without trying, and will always be found in public with a friend, even if they are loners. you often do not know much about them, especially with scorpio or aquarius on the cusp.
  • sun in the 12th house: where sun in the seventh people reject themselves, sun in the 12th people could never find this part of them. the 12th house rules prisons, and it is like their ego, their main personality is locked away in a cell. oftentimes however, the prison is made by themselves. this may seem a little silly, but 12th house sun natives often seem both sleepy and confused, but that is just who they are.
