Jimi Hendrix at court for Day 2 of his trial in Toronto on December 9, 1969.

On May 3, 1969 customs found small amounts heroin and hashish in Jimi’s luggage at Toronto International Airport. He claimed the drugs were slipped into his bag without his knowledge. The trial began on December 8 and lasted 3 days, Jimi was acquitted of the charges. There is speculation that his manager, Chas Chandler, planted them on him in order to keep Jimi more dependent on him. There are also theories that it was a US government plant.

William Nylander: *Jumps into his arms*

Leafs fans: “Wow. Nylander. What a hero. Look at that boy go. So cute, so pure. So good.”
