so another year around the sun means another one of these. i can’t believe that i’ve been on this website for over six years now. i’ve seen fandoms bloom and float away with the wind. i have been a part of many different fandoms, but i honestly love each and every person that i’m following right now. if you’ve been following me for more than a week you probably realized how picky i can be, so seriously check out everyone on my blogroll. oh and that graphic up there pretty much sums me up as certified marvel trash™.
Ok so, I know that we can all agree that this year has been pretty damn horrible™, but seeing that I’ve almost reached 500 followers (which was
my follower goal), I decided to make my very first follow forever to
thank all of my lovely mutuals for making this (hell)site a bit brighter
for me by being amazing. Also I am terribly sorry if I am forgetting
Happy new year!!!
(there was indeed once upon a time a tagging system but everything changed when my laziness attacked)
I’m not going to preface this by saying it was a shitty year, because tbh that is kind of a redundant point by now. what I will say is that 2016 was a trying year for me when many great things happened, and I will try to remember it for that as opposed to anything else. and in the spirit of that, I give you my 2k16 follow forever. faves are in bold.
After numerous requests and countless times arranging it + having to start from the beginning after stupidly cancelling the post, HERE it is my follow forever, I love all these blogs and I think you all are amazing ♡
Felicity looked up from her computers sharply as Laurel spoke to her. It was just her and Felicity in the foundry, cleaning up after the ordeal with Slade. Diggle, Oliver, and Roy were out looking for Thea. Laurel was sitting on the computer bench, messing around with one of Sara’s knives.
“Do what?” Felicity asked.
“Deal with all of this… the late nights, almost dying. I’ve only been here for a week and I’m overwhelmed,” Laurel gave Felicity a friendly smile.
“It takes a while, but you get used to it… When I first started, last year when it was just Oliver, John, and I, I pretended to be way more confident than I actually was about it all. I thought, maybe if I let them think I’m not scared, the fear would eventually go away. Don’t even get me started on the sparring.”
"I want to say thank you… for what you did that night with Slade. That must have been terrifying, and I probably wouldn’t be here without you.”
Felicity rolled her chair over and grabbed Laurel’s hand. “Don’t worry about it.”
When the boys returned four hours later, they found Felicity Smoak and Laurel Lance leaning on each other, sitting on the tiny bed in the foundry, an empty bottle of vodka between them.
The Gossip Girl finale was ridiculous, but that was the show. It was silly and frilly in a lot of ways.
GG has always been a guilty pleasure show for me, but the last season was the worst thing I’ve ever seen on TV. It’s like they had some of these great character developments, and then threw it all out the window, and ended up glorifying an abusive relationship (two of them actually) and labelled it with “great love”.
