tomorrow is a very important day. if you’re of age and don’t decide to go vote, you are giving other people the power to decide your future.
I know that one vote isn’t actually gonna change much. I also know that the current electable parties aren’t exactly perfect (haha.).
But remember the masses of people you probably disagree with, regarding political stances. Imagine them all going voting, while you stay at home.
Merkel is most likely going to win again, and that, in my opinion is not good. She makes decisions for us without really informing us about them, uttering the same nonsensical empty phrases again and again. She decides for whatever the majority goes for. Remember: The American President managed to stand up for gay marriage, and she did not. Remember her, a physicist, coming to the sudden ephiphany that maybe, just maybe, atomic plants might not be safe, after the events in Japan. She is an opportunist. I don’t want this person, this antiquated party, to make important decisions for me. Remember the ‘betreuungsgeld’, making it even harder for some foreigners kids to learn german, to integrate, while being a huge waste of money that we need elsewhere.
The mere existence of the FDP is an insolence. They basically want the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer. The want to take everything that is wrong with this country and make it worse. Remember the people suffering in greece and spain and all these other european countries. Remember the generation of educated young people that, if they are lucky enough to get a job (most likely way under the level they were educated for) can’t even afford their own place or health insurance, for that matter. Remember the new, cheap, devastating drugs appearing in these countries, making the poor and hopeless even more miserable, because they can’t even afford the normal, horrifying enough, drugs anymore. Remember the FDP wanting to reduce government, to make the rich get richer and the poor poorer.
The SPD is a hoax. A copy of the CDU without the 'christian’ in the name, barely resembling what they once stood for. Remember how they introduced us to Hartz IV, treating the non-working population like vermin that needs to be taken care of. Remember the highly-educated people wasting their time in mandatory courses to 'learn’ things they already know. Remember the frustrated, ill mothers making their underage kids answer the countless letters they get. Remember people being forced into occupations they would never ever do if they had the choice, for a ridiculous underpayment. Remember Peer Steinbrück, I met him. When being confronted in a debate, he takes the easy way out, the most despicable of all rethorical strategies: if someone asks him a question he can’t answer, that makes him look back, he twists it around so that the asking person looks stupid, misunderstanding the question on porpuse.
The green party is also a mere shadow of what they once were. They introduced Hartz IV with the SPD. They don’t take us seriously as self-dependent adults, wanting to limit our choices, wanting to forbid us to do certain things or choose certain things because they don’t fit their moral code.
'Die Linke’ basically was made up of DDR-nostalgics, back in the east. They want us to stay out of every possible war, to not help people if they ask for our help. Sarah Wagenknecht used to hold extreme leftist ideas and it is not clear whether she still holds them.
And for gods sake, keep the AFD out of our government. They want to get rid of the euro for gods sake.
Remember our terrible education system, our two class medicine system, the racism and the pointless drug war. Remember all that is wrong in this country. Remember SOPA, remember the goddamn NSA, remember how our government broke the motherfucking law by lettign this happen. Remember Schäuble trying to increase the surveillance.
The only party that is electable to me is the pirate party. I am a member of this party and I know many of the other members, i attended many of the party congresses and I know how we stand on what. Yes, we are still new, but no, we do have a fucking program and we are not unorganized. Yes, we have a few disagreements, but so do the other parties. The difference is that we don’t conceal them in the empty language of politics but talk like everyday people about them. And we have something no other party has: We understand the internet. We understand the implications, the dangers, heading towards us. You do not want 1984, you do not want a Brave New World. Our people fought for freedom of speech, for rights and privacy. Now that this new technology arose, politicians, companies and other powerful institutions are trying to sneak around our attention by doing things that are AGAINST THE LAW. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
If you vote for the pirate party - we are surely not going to get a majority of any kind, so you don’t have to worry about the things we haven’t made up our mind in or that we arent’ experts of. We will merely get a say in what is decided and we will be able to bring forth what we think is important.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for voting. Remember.
