pink-shadow

Ok now I can see why Jonathan is jealous of Steve and not just because of Nancy. Steve is more daring in his clothing choices and HAIR!! Steve has confidence and can rock soft red sweaters and beautiful hair and tight jeans. He has nike shoes in all different colors for different occasions. Steve would totally help Jonathan dress up for a David Bowie concert!

YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME TONIGHT!!!! My Stonathan celebration is off to a fantastic start, I love this.

I like the idea of Jonathan and Steve sitting together in Steve’s room using some makeup that Steve keeps around for special concerts. Like the Mileven scene where Mike is putting blush on El, except Steve putting glitter on Jonathan’s cheekbones with his tongue stuck out in concentration.

Jonathan puts dark pink and purple eye shadow all around Steve’s eyes and they put gel in their hair and make it look super crazy. Steve lets Jonathan borrow some clothes, ripped skinny jeans (not so tight on Jonathan but it’s fine) and bright colored shirts with jackets that have colorful patches on them (that Steve ironed on himself!).

They go out and have the time of their life, and exit holding hands, both red and sweaty from the intensity of all of it.

I also like the idea of them going out after that and getting their ears pierced. They both get their left ears pierced, Jonathan gets a little gold ring and Steve gets a silver stud. Steve drops him off that night with a kiss to Jonathan’s glittery cheek, Jonathan marks it down as one of the best nights of his life.

Filthy Frank TV Lore Masterpost

I just wanted to take some time out (actually i’m bored) to fully explain the whole ~Filthy Frank~ lore, or at least, the “main” characters and how they weave in and out of the show.

Because, let’s be real, George didn’t even know what the hell was going on for the first two years and the Wikia is a mess.

Could u please give some tiles on drawing heads/faces? Just found your blog and you are AMAZING, have a great day!

Hmm, okay so first of all, I’ve always said I’m pretty bad at tutorials and explanations, so I absolutely can’t like, guarantee that any of this stuff will work for anyone, let alone everyone. Artists have different techniques that they find work best for them.

On the other hand, I didn’t want to just say “practice!” and leave it at that. So here’s an attempt to explain how I, personally, go about drawing heads and faces. (Apologies if the images come out gigantic and make this post really long.)

First of all, I do the typical circle with two lines. I don’t necessarily use the circle as the actual head structure; I just find that this really helps me get a feel for the direction I want the person to be looking, and where the features should be placed. The main thing that helped me get a hang of faces was always keeping in mind that they’re three-dimensional, and not just a flat oval with lined features slapped on top (I started off in 2001 drawing anime so I had a lot of bad habits to break and actual anatomy to learn. Nothing against anime, it’s just not the best thing to start from because it’s SO stylized.)

Sometimes I’ll do that little line on the side to remind me to keep the features where they should be and not let them slide too far over on the face. It’s sort of…where I differentiate between the side of the head and the front of the face, I guess.

I also like to draw the nose early on because it’s in the middle of the face and helps me know where the rest of the features will be. Sometimes I’ll do eyebrows too, which I’ll touch on later.

Rest of the features next. Once again, keeping in mind that the eyes are sunken into the face a little, and the nose protrudes.

Sometimes if I’m having trouble I’ll do some really crude shading ot help me figure out where exactly things should be placed, keeping in mind the structure of the skull underneath (pink being where shadows would fall).

Hairline comes next - I no longer need the circle underneath.

I like to add hair last, on top of an already-drawn head so that I don’t accidentally make the skull too big or too small. Hair probably needs its own whole tutorial or something so I’ll leave it here for now.

Different face shapes are pretty easy if you break them down into really simple ones to start. Detail comes after, so don’t get too caught up in it in the start. Like I said before, I like to do noses, and sometimes eyebrows, because it really keeps me in line and helps me not make the rest of the features too big or too small (at least not past where I want them, stylistically) and it keeps them where they SHOULD be according to the structure of the face.

Honestly I have no idea if this is at all coherent. I never took many actual drawing classes or anything, most of this is just stuff I’ve figured out myself that works best for me. I like to look at things that artists better than myself do, figure out why I like it so much, and work at improving those areas of my own art. Personally, my own biggest problem to get past was that whole 3D thing and not drawing a human face as a flat thing with lines slapped on top of it. Knowing the underlying structure is boring, but important.

I really hope this helped in SOME way, even if it was really small. Thanks! <3

Eye Catching Glamour Spell

A spell to catch the attention of that special someone.

You Will Need:

💝 Pink Eye Shadow
💝 Black Eyeliner (and brush if needed)
💝 Mascara
💝 Rose Quartz
💝 White Eye Glitter
💝 Rose Water
💝 Serpentine, garnet, rhodonite and/or sapphire
💝 Mirror
💝 Empress Tarot Card (or printed out image of one)

Steps:

💝 Set up your space. Place your Empress Tarot Card near you where you can view it easily, place your gemstone(s) before you and close though not in your way. Have your make up in reach and keep a bowl/cup of rose water to your right. Be sure you are in front of a mirror or have a mirror set up in front of you.

💝 Do your face make up as you would normally though leaving your eyes for last. While doing so feel the energies of the crystals and tarot card

💝 Peer into the mirror and start with your eyeliner. Apply it from inner corner outwards and leaving a small tail/wing (style of which is up to you though thin and long is recommended). Do bottom lid from inner corner and out as well. While doing this imagine how you are lining your eyes, drawing attention to them, how your eyeliner will pull in the eyes of the one you wish to catch the eye of. Visualize how they will draw in someone.

💝 Apply your pink eye shadow as you desire though as doing so focus on how the eye shadow is glowing with temptation and allure, like a light in the darkness it will demand attention to look at it

💝 Begin applying your mascara, stare into your own eyes as you do so, imagine them glowing and rings pulsing in them, tempting someone to peer into them. Visualize this strongly

💝 Take your eye glitter and lightly dab it about your eye lid, this is for the beauty element. How they enchant your eyes like glittering gems. Focus on the desire of wanting to appear beautiful for the person when you catch their eye

💝 Finish the spell by taking your dominate pointer finger and dipping into your rose water and lightly dabbing it under your eyes. Imagine this making the intense glow of your eyes pink and warm. Keep the image of your glowing beautiful eyes in your mind as you begin your day.
